Hampton Inn Cortland, NY

Location. Friendly staff, bathroom was nicely appointed, good space and plenty of hooks for towels. Lighting was good for hotel room.

No bathroom fan? Room was on 2nd floor on top of the sliding door at the entrance, could hear it opening and closing all night. Also, located right next to elevator, could hear the elevator chime as well. Elevator is SLOW!

Clean and comfortable place to stay.

Very expensive because of the Brockway weekend events. We wouldn’t normally spend that much for one night but we wanted to attend the fireworks and parade the next morning.

Breakfast was great, staff were warm and friendly!!! Everything was clean. Room was very quiet to sleep in. Bed great. I liked being able to purchase a small bottle of wine, that was a nice touch. Booking on line was fine, easy to obtain a confirmation number.

Price was very high, but worth it to be assured a wonderful place to stay.

I liked that you have breakfasts, like that you looked for some missing shoes after we left

The woman at the front desk whose name started with a D I believe charged the card before we arrived which hasn’t happened in the past, risking a fee on my bank account. I selected the pay when I arrive option so I wasn’t pleased. I get there and need assistance paying for the hotel room, which involved a family member assisting us, because the rates are pretty damn high for a mid-tier hotel. Nearly half of my rent amount. The woman at the front desk then said my mom couldn’t transfer points because I’d been bamboozled, fleeced, etc. although she used a similar word, because I used a third party booking app. I don’t think we could have transferred the points anyway but I said that was string language and unnecessary and to be honest it was insulting and rude. I just don’t care about points. I rarely travel. I told her that was an unnecessary thing to say and that I was confused as to why she said it. She never apologized. I’d never been insulted and treated so poorly as a customer there. Then after you lost power with the tornado, you never offered a discount. But primarily because of your staff, I’m never coming back and you were my go to place for visiting family for years.
