Maui Beach Hotel

Rooms were basic but comfy, with a great shower. I would say a bit on the small side with not many extras. Breakfast was pretty good. Definetly the best part of the hotel is being by a mini beach which we very much enjoyed swimming in. The relaxed outdoors bit and egg chairs were also an added bonus.

I was disappointed that the pool was closed and we had to share with the hotel next door, we didn't end up going in the end. It's great that the hotel offers a shuttle but unfortunately calls didn't work in the US for us as we are from the UK so it would be useful for there to be another means to get the shuttle e.g a way to contact from the airport or if there was a whatsapp number you could ring as I imagine we won't be the only international visitors. The room was nice but i do think the pictures were quite deceptive making it seem a lot bigger than it was, the pictures we saw also included a bath and more kitchen facilities which we didn't have. Perhaps we booked the wrong room but it would have been nice to have the bigger one as it was our honeymoon.

Convenient access to north shore beaches. Room was small but clean, dry, no insects, perfect climate control. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It was nice to have laundry on site. Don't expect the Ritz Carlton if you book this place. I didn't spend much time at the hotel but for my purposes it was totally adequate.

The view could have been better. I booked an ocean view, but really this one had a view of the courtyard and only had a sliver of ocean view (see photo). I had a better view of the industrial AC unit placed outside my window. The room directly above me probably had a better view. The second floor rooms also had balconies but the first floor rooms had no balcony or direct access to the courtyard, which would have been nice. Instead to access the courtyard you had to leave the room, walk down the hall, and use an exit-only door which did not let you back in even though there is a card reader, so you have to walk all the way around through the lobby to get back to the room. I don't understand why they restricted access like this. Also, as you can see from the picture the window was not clean at all, or maybe has some moisture damage but either way it was not the case for all the rooms so I feel like they could do something about this. If it can't be improved with cleaning it would be worth replacing the glass.

Carpet dirty and worn Dinner was awful

Location is good.

Very outdated furniture and the beds they have in the room we stayed were very uncomfortable. Mattress were weak and had no support pretty much worn out. Didn’t have a good sleep the 2 nights we stayed there.
