Tides Folly Beach, Charleston's Oceanfront Hotel

As always, the staff was great, friendly and highly accommodating. Can't beat the location. It's right on the beach and includes a pool, a great restaurant, coffee shop, and tiki bar. Local restaurants, bars, shops, and a really cool general store are all within a three-block distance, so there's no need to drive anywhere. We've been staying there for our beach vacations for years now.

Twice this year we've arrived to find elevators out of order. The first time, both elevators weren't working but we were fortunate our room was on the second floor allowing us to use the service elevator to get to our room. Normally, climbing one flight of stairs wouldn't be a big deal, but we had our small dog with us. During our second stay this year, one elevator was out of service. This caused a massive delay in getting up and down the floors during peak times. Especially when the staff was working on servicing the rooms. I get that things happen, but the same issue twice in one season is concerning.
