Quality Inn Downtown Helen

It was very convenient and a short walk to the main strip. Very pet friendly with non carpeted floors. So accidents are easy to clean up.

Not much to dislike. Bed was a bit firm, but that is personal preference.

We loved the location...right across from Betty's marker and Biergarten! Also close to most of the shops and restaurants in Helen. The room was spacious and comfortable.

1. I had requested a ground-floor room .....I received an email on August 13 telling me that "We're happy to let you know that the property has confirmed they can arrange this for you. There will be no extra charge for this request." They DID NOT arrange this for me. The manager was very vociferous that EVERYBODY wants a ground-floor room and he just doesn't have enough..........So.......... There are NO elevators... 2.Breakfast was just OK. The first morning we were after 8:00 and the sausage gravy was cold, even tho in a crock pot. The biscuits were hard.........the waffle batter was very thick, almost at the bottom of the batch. I could only get 1/2 of a waffle. They brought out fresh batter after I was done with breakfast. The second day we went early...7:00 or so. The biscuits were even harder, and the gravy pot was low, but hot. Undoubtedly left over from the previous day. 3. We were charged $5.00/day to park our car.....simply outrageous.... When I checked the site, that fee WAS stated, in small, light print at the very END of the page...............sneaky.............
