Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans Canal St. French Quarter

Location is great! 10 minutes walking to the Super dome, 15-20 minutes walking to Bourbon and Royal Street. The hotel is clean, comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Our room was next to the electrical room and there was a really loud noise suddenly at different times during the day and night that lasted no more than 10seconds. First time was unexpected but then we did not have any issue

very tentative staff. I appreciated the ease of check-in and check-out. Breakfast was delicious and lots of options. Overall, Hampton suites and Inns is my preferred stays when I go out of town.

It seems they use satellite tv. We tried to watch the Alabama game and the tv just kept buffering. But other than that it was a perfect stay.

The location of the hotel is great, and the bed in the room was very comfortable. It's nice that breakfast is included, and there are drugstores and other options very close by. It's easy to get around, and the hotel is relatively close to all of the things you want to do.

Although I had a suite, the bathroom was so tiny it was hard to enter and stand inside with the door open; likewise for the shower - the toilet is so close to the shower that you can't really step out of it comfortably. Last - the lighting. I was staying here while attending a wedding and the bathroom lighting is ok, but since there isn't space to put anything, I had to use the larger mirror in the room...which has terrible lighting. It's so dim, I couldn't' see what I was doing, and if I had stood in the bathroom, it would have been way to tight of a space. The building is also older, and smells a bit moldy or damp in the corridors. The hotel isn't the quality I expected compared to what I paid (it was very expensive!)
