The architecture of this building is amazing, the wood beams old brick walls and fireplaces, all simply amazing for history lovers. The room was clean and consisted of a living area small kitchen with stove top and a separate bedroom with a super comfortable bed. Charles, the check in agent was so helpful and very easy to talk to, probably the friendliest hotel worker I’ve come across in a very very long time. There is a pool it is quite small but enough to cool off in the hot summer days and nights and it’s open 24 hours. The location was perfect a short walk to all the French quarter and the marigney has to offer, steps away from port o call which has the best burgers in the city. Steps away from coffee shops which is perfect for coffee snobs like myself. I truly can not say enough about this location, property, and the hotel workers we came in contact with. We Didn’t run into any ghosts, which I didn’t know could be a thing until I started reading about the history of the building, that’s probably my biggest disappointment is not seeing Jeans ghost to ask him where his lost treasure was. But seriously, I will recommend this place to anyone seeking accommodations in the New Orleans area. It was simply fabulous! I wish I’d have taken more pictures of this place to share!

The front living area had no remote for the tv so we couldn’t use it but there was a tv in the bedroom so not really a big deal. The coffee makers water reservoir area was a bit yuck so I didn’t use it but no biggie because there are more than one coffee shops within a few minutes walk. The parking is 25$ a night or find street parking. Also not really that big of a deal because Charles, the front desk person offered for us to take his street parking spot. Which we didn’t need as we found parking. So there’s not really anything I didn’t like about the property just these few little minor things that may bother others.

The rooms (we had a 2BR) were spacious and very clean. The staff we met were extremely friendly and accommodating. The location was great - very quiet but close to the French Quarter and Marigny neighborhoods.

Older people (or people with limited mobility) should be aware that some of the rooms require climbing several sets of stairs. It wasn’t easy carrying our luggage up and down the stairs. The internet was very weak (and was down one day) and the TVs did not work (the staff came and fixed the TVs after we contacted them). Even with the internet connection restored, we could not stream anything on our devices. The staff we encountered were friendly and responsive, but it is not easy to reach anyone by phone.

I loved the location and the room was cute. Staff was helpful.

I didn’t like the $250 hold they put on my card i still haven’t gotten back. Also didn’t like the fact the air conditioner and fan were broke in the room the first night and we had to sweat all night with no sleep at peak summer in nola. They didn’t offer to comp the room that night which is crazy to me. They comped parking which both should’ve been done. They gave us a room the next day to stay in while ours was fixed. Which was nice. Still, i don’t feel i should’ve had to pay for a hot room the first night. Bed was hard.
