Being able to walk to the Capitol was great and the view from the restaurant was great.

Breakfast was expensive for what was offered. Much of the food was cold, and the staff didn't replenish drinks without being asked. The room was ok but very expensive for what it was, and the shower door was broken so it didn't completely close and water got everywhere and when I asked for extra towels to deal with it, I was treated like I asked for a kidney and they actually never came. I asked to have a food package delivered to my niece's room as it was her wedding night - I wanted to deliver it myself but was not permitted to do so - and the package was never delivered and was "lost" and when I brought this to the staff attention the next day the email "apology" that I received was the worst. It actually made me more upset and never actually apologized for the incident. And I was never offered anything in terms of compensation for the package I left with the front desk staff.

It was good. It was more European syle which I really liked.

The lack of paper information. We didn’t realize there was a bar and restaurant on the top floor until we had breakfast the day we checked out.

It was mostly clean.

What I didn't like about my stay: having my door wide open when I come back to the hotel; walking in to find tons of rust coming out of the toilet; and my favourite point, after traveling and being awake for 24 hours and driving the last two hours, I loved having the valet tell me I couldn't park/load my baggage in the hotel driveway and had to move the car. Lastly, after talking with management about the issues, they promised they would do something to make it up and they never followed up. This is not what I expect from anything tied to a Marriott honestly. I would expect them to have their stuff together. On this trip and in Madison, that was not the case.

I was so surprised that the room was so incredibly dreary. Plus the set up was weird, my side of the bed was up against a wall and the only window was sort of a skinny thing n a corner that I couldn’t even see from the bed. Very weird and not luxurious or even all that comfortable.

The layout and colors of the room. As noted above. Besides the configuration of the room, it was completely brown, dull, dreary. Probably trying to look urban and sophisticated, but it felt icky.

Modern and clean. Loved the bar and bartenders.

Room faced another building. Towels are rough and scratchy. For the price we paid, I expected softer towels.
