Best stay in the 4 weeks we spend in Borneo! The most beautiful guesthouse on the edge of the jungle with a tropical garden, waterfall and pool. The owners are so sweet, make you feel right at home and can tell you everything about the area. We had lost of fun with the other guest too. We did some great tours: Bako, fairy cave and Semenggoh Wildlife. 2 sweet cats that like to sleep on the balcony and show you how to relax in the tropical heat. Thank you so much for the good memories! When we come back you are the first we visit!

The setting of the property is beautiful. We were lucky to see monkeys in the nearby trees. The hosts Polycarp and Louise are so attentive without being intrusive and were happy to give us a lift to nearby restaurants and cultural village. This made our stay so enjoyable. Would love to return!

Nanga Damai was all that we could have wished for . The location is stunning as is the ambiance . An oasis of peace , definitely the place to relax and unwind . Polycarp and Louise realise that the homestay is a little remote ( about a 30 min walk to a couple of restaurants) they offer transport to facilitate eating and visiting the cultural village . Fresh fruit , boiled egg and toast , washed down with juice , coffee or tea

The Homestay is a truley magical place. If you want to have some relaxing days in nature at a wonderful place with wonderful people, you should definitley gi there. Not a lot of places and people like Poly and Louise are touching me like that when I am traveling. We‘d love to come back!

The location of the homestay is beautiful and away from the city. Beautiful lush greenery view and you can see the sea from the terrace. Very peaceful

Perfect if you are looking for a personal, yet private, secluded yet accessible, natural yet comfortable place to relax and/or explore. The hosts are both attentive and discrete - breakfast is onsite - shuttle service for the lazy (to the Sarawak Cultural Village nearby), or for the gluttons to Buntal (Lim Hock Ann Seafood) were part and parcel of the friendly and unbureacratic service we could not help but love. A place one almost wishes not to recommend for fear of destroying it! Thank you both, Louise and Polycarp for an unforgettable experience.
