Syrou Melathron

This beautiful hotel is located in an old mansion with high ceilings and is just beautifully maintained. It's about a 10 minute walk to the main port/downtown area, or a 3 minute walk to where one can go swimming in crystal clear water. Our room had a private terrace with 2 chairs and a small table, overlooking the sea and the beautiful church down the street. Breakfast was served on a terrace again overlooking the water. I even needed a iron and they supplied one. They had an elevator if needed. The staff were very friendly, helpful in recommending restaurants and I would highly recommend this hotel.

I honestly can't think of anything I didn't like.

Lovely old building, great features with lovely music playing from a record player. Room was appointed nicely but basic. Room had stunning sea views with small balcony.

The WIFI was a problem initially but the staff were able to resolve it when asked. The staff were friendly and helpful apart from the lady serving breakfast, who wasn’t very friendly and didn’t smile. A smile goes a long way.

The property was wonderfully situated, right above the water, with an impeccable rooftop where complimentary breakfast was served. I appreciated the set complimentary menu from which we could order anything (and as much of anything) we liked. The communal areas were exceptionally decorated, with a meeting room available for busier guests. The rooms were not equally modern, but very charming nonetheless. The sea view and small balcony were such a bonus too!

The only issue, which is admittedly small given how wonderful the hotel is, is that sound proofing is quite poor. We could hear both our neighbors (windows and doors closed) and the cleaning staff accessing the room where they kept their supplies next door every morning.

- Not very clean (dirty marks on the coffee machine, dusty) - Breakfast was included in the price but was only boiled eggs and snacking, they didn’t have breakfast buffet anything else was with extra charge -Different rooms than in photos, it was disappointing i was expecting a bigger room, nicer view from the window. there was no view from the window the balcony was a different layout than in the photos
