Grecotel Villa Oliva

Lovely hotel with exceptionaly friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast is served in a beautiful garden, it is delicious, and we really felt looked after there. The rooms offered everything you need, and the housekeeping staff did a nice job of keeping our room tidy. Due to a late flight, we checked in very late and this was no issue for them.

My only critique would be that our sea view room faced a busy road which was a bit noisy.

Service & Value: Excellent value for money. The entire staff provides amazing, personal service – they even remembered our exact coffee and omelet preferences at breakfast! When we had to leave for a night flight, they thoughtfully prepared a takeaway food box for our journey. The Room: We stayed in the ground-floor room with a large balcony. Everything was great – spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Location & Accessibility: Being just 2–3 minutes away from the highway is fantastic and allows great flexibility for spontaneous day trips without needing much advance planning. Good to know (Noise): The reviews mentioning the proximity to the road are accurate. The villa is not as secluded and quiet as it appears in the photos, and there can be noise from the highway right on the other side of the fence. It suited us fine, but it might not be ideal for light sleepers or those looking for complete silence.

The reviews about the location near the road are accurate and worth keeping in mind – the villa is not as secluded and quiet as it appears in the photos, and there can be noise from the highway just on the other side of the fence. It suited us fine, but might be less ideal for others.

Location was great, short walk to great bars and restaurants and 15 min drive to Rethymno city Staff were all so lovely Rooms were really clean and spacious Pool area was so nice and chilled out

Breakfast was good but was quite basic - would be nice to have something like pancakes and a toaster for bread No mirrors in the rooms other than the bathroom ones!

The staff were very friendly and professional.

The rooms were extremely tired and not at all like the pictures.
