A level of service above the cost. Our meeting with Chris who showed us around and served dinner was professional and fun. Room full of character, nice touches and comfort. Dinner and breakfast menus are different and superb. Will definitely revisit

Great location, Cartmel is lovely and this is just in the middle of it. The room was larger than expected and quite comfortable, the central heating made it really toasty at night as well, and we appreciated the electric towel rack in the bathroom. For an old place, it's really well kept! The staff were busy (as they manage the pub downstairs as well) but super friendly and attentive to guests
The swing doors in the pub downstairs kept banging, making the whole room shake, so I'd advise revising them to make the landing softer. The pub closed early, so it wasn't too much of an issue after 10pm. The breakfast was really nice but ended very early (9:30am), could go longer at least during the weekend.
