Very friendly staff made to feel very welcome we arrived with or dog no problem wanted to eat in the evening and again no problem the hotel I situated very nearby Filey and Scarborough we visited both the food in evening and breakfast was very good we will go back again looking forward to next time
Shower screen in room was not long enough as water splashed over on bathroom floor

This is our second stay at East Ayton Lodge Hotel, and we love it. It's a 10 minute drive from Scarborough and nestled in countryside. The rooms are lovely, spacious and beds are comfortable. I feel very at ease here and feel welcome in the bar when we have done our travels in the day. I have eaten breakfast here which was lovely, but sometimes we want a brunch, so we do not always partake of food here.

Nice, quiet location. Bed made every day and clean towels provided. Ate in restaurant twice - standard pub food
Room 10 Bedside light broken. Was told maintenance would look at it which they didn't. Provided with touch lamp which it was impossible to read by. Had to slam door to lock it. Hook missing from back of bathroom door.

Friendly staff and pleasant grounds easy access to rooms on the courtyard properties
Bed extremely uncomfortable springs noisy . Lighting was either all on or nothing no side table light for example. Plus the Wi-Fi is basically nonexistent
