Puntazo II is a family run hotel. It is beautifully located by the beach, with restaurants and shops within a few mins walk. Note. When you find a voucher in your room for a free drink.. it is for a bottle of water with dinner in their restaurant. Not in the bar. We did ask if this was for use in the bar, told yes, to the horror of one of the managers. Drinks are soooo reasonable in Mojácar, €3 for a glass of delicious wine and €4 for a beer. The pool is glorious. The venue is spotless Room was spacious and adorable with a balcony looking out toward the sea Felt bigger than it was, due to thr balcony

The over reaction over the voucher, especially when we asked in the bar. But ALL other staff were exceptional

Lots of ants on the balcony and a large cockroach in the bathroom. Maintenance guy came but it had already escaped. Air con in the bedroom is too weak to cool the room so it was fairly hot at night and difficult to get comfortable. Quite noisy in the evening when the live entertainment is on, difficult to get some quiet time and just relax after a long day due to the noise. Staff constantly watching you at breakfast, and as soon as you get up to fetch a drink out get more food, they’ll take your plate and cutlery away within seconds, so you then have to go and find another set to eat with.
