Arbanella

Location is very good. Our host put some delicious complimentary snacks and a tiny lemoncello bottle on kitchen before we arrived. There is a fresh water source beside the hotel. Our room was very tidy and clean.

There is a balcony in the hotel pictures but actually ground floor flat is given to us. We suggest to the establishment to mention the floor numbers during the selection, not after the payment. The bed in lower floor was not comfortable since it is very thin. We suggest to change that bed with a thicker bed.

Responsiveness of the host, ease to check-in and out, luggage storage, clean, super convenient location, mini bar and basic kitchen amenities, great balcony, and the snacks and limoncello!

Nothing!

Lovely little apartment two steps from the bus stop in Corniglia, also great starting point for the Cinque Terre hikes, easy to grab breakfast from the bar across the street. Small details like the snacks on the table (constantly replenished!) and the ear plugs felt very friendly. Also over Whatsapp the staff were very informative and friendly, also giving information about the area, hiking map and even video of how to get to the property. Convenient self check-in system for late arrivals via PIN code. Kitchen well equipped, on the balcony you can hang your towel to dry and there's laundry clips to secure it, they really thought of everything. Nice view from the balcony with a little table and chairs to enjoy! Books on the shelf were a nice touch.

Just be warned there's stairs to get to the apartment from the bus stop, and steep stairs in the building, if you've got luggage. Very minor detail but labeling the apartment/outer door keys could be helpful as I kept using the wrong one haha. Not much to do about the church bells ringing the hour all night long, though again they do provide ear plugs. Personally I had no clue about using an induction hob at first as they're not common in my country so maybe printing the instructions would help.

Communication was excellent from the team. It's a wonderful spot in the middle of the town.

The stairs - Cornigilia is not for the faint of heart - there are no lifts so make sure you pack light. We were travelling with large luggage which was difficult in a small room. We were told we had aircon - but they removed the aircon remote. As the room was facing a restaurant, there was quite a bit of noise seeping from the window and we did not feel comfortable opening the window for ventilation. The room is well reflected in the photos but the common area/rooftop view is on the very top level with steep stairs.
