The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic and couldn’t be better for exploring beautiful Hydra. The staff were lovely, welcoming. Another highlight was the delicious breakfast served at their sister hotel, which we really enjoyed.

Unfortunately, the room itself was disappointing. The carpets felt dated, and the floors vibrated noticeably whenever we walked around, which was rather unsettling. The bathroom also had an unpleasant sewage smell, which really affected our comfort. What was particularly disappointing was the hotel’s handling of our original reservation. Severe winds resulted in the cancellation of our ferry service to Hydra, making it impossible for us to arrive as planned. Despite these exceptional circumstances being completely beyond our control, the hotel refused to issue a refund, offering only a credit toward a future stay. While we understand cancellation policies, we felt that greater flexibility and understanding would have been appropriate under these circumstances. It left us with a disappointing impression of management’s approach to customer service.
