Great Shower.

The couch although comfortable was a bit tired.

Lovely house, very quiet and peaceful. Rooms were big. Location was great. Few miles from Leighton buzzard and train links to London. I went with 15yr old daughter and 11 yr old son and they loved it and asked when could they go back.

The only thing I could fault is size of kitchen. This is due to the building.'The old chapel: is a bit of a hint It had everything for us, microwave, oven, kettle. It didn't effect us much as we ate out a lot.

Hard to find Dated - needs updating. Sofa is trashed and left bits everywhere despite them covering with a blanket. Mattress on bed worn and bed uncomfortable in general. Parking is a challenge- 4 spots total and barely. Hard to navigate in the day and impossible at night. No hot water either and spiders everywhere! Lots of potential but disappointing. Also not clear when booking that two properties on site and that we were in the annex as opposed to main cottage.

I loved the location and the property itself. The property was very traditional, quaint and idyllic and provided exactly the experience I was seeking. The beds were so comfortable we slept like logs on both nights, not waking up once. The cottage was very well appointed and was clean and tidy.

Parking was a little awkward because all it takes is someone to park awkwardly and it makes parking difficult for others, that’s not a fault with property as such but if there were some car park style guidlines then it would help.

Maria was very helpful, had all amenities and facilities. Maria was also helpful in directing me as google maps did not take me to the right place.

Bed could have been a bit more comfortable, but my partner was fine with it so it's quite subjective! It was a bit hard to find via google maps

Spacious, comfortable as convenient for our needs.

Unfortunately we couldn't access the WiFi in the bungalow which was disappointing and inconvenient.

It's a cute little house in a courtyard. It has its own private patio. It's self-contained and private, but not isolated. We were attending a party nearby so did not spend much time there. The kitchen seemed to have all the necessary stuff if you needed to cook. Wifi was good. Very peaceful location and parking easy outside the window.

There's shared hot water with other rentals in the courtyard, so the shower was a bit cool on the first day as we were last to use the water....The second morning, we got wise!! There's no village shop, so do take some supplies like milk and breakfast stuff if you'll need it, otherwise you'll need to drive.

Privacy

Timer on the light in the bathroom, went off before shower finished. This could have been very dangerous if showering during the night.

The accommodation had character

We thought it was a little "tired" and needs some care and attention to make it value for money. The ad states toiletries are provided and there was a used bottle of shower gel left - not enough for three people and not very appealing either. Although it was a very hot weekend, it was very chilly the day we arrived and even though we followed the instructions provided it did not work. The water was barely warm enough to have a shower. All of these points were addressed when I sent a text to query them ( possibly not the heating as it then got very hot!) Be aware that the kitchenette is very small - a cupboard under the stairs! There is a fridge and microwave but it's very small. There is no wheelie bin to place rubbish and it got a bit windy after three days! The cottage was lovely bit small improvements could have made it so much nicer. It felt a bit unloved and that's a shame. Lots of foreign language books so it felt like someone lived there and had been kicked out for out stay but I could be wrong. Overall we had a great time but that wasn't down to the accommodation

it’s self contained.

No radiators working due to lack of maintenance. They need bleeding. Water needs to be on longer. Control of heating by resident should be possible.

bedding was lovely

kitchen, curtains, bed against wall, personal books and bits everywhere, shower was not hot. in addition it uncomfortable hearing movements from room past double doors in dining room.

Central to the village, pub 100 yards away. Plenty of nearby places to walk the dogs. On site parking.

location was great, the host kindly provided us with an extra bed for young will. The local pub was very friendly. all in all exactly what we were hoping for.

Kitchen size

it was easy to find and the fact that it had 3 bedrooms

The kitchen was very small, the two toilets were downstairs which was a bit annoying. my bedroom had a lamp but nowhere to plug it in, no bedside table or plug sockets I could find. the curtains didn’t fit and we’re very thin so bedroom was light as soon as the sun came up!

The location was amazing, the host had thought of everything, including, shower gel, washing up liquid, plenty of things to cook with. A small lamp next to the bed and even dog bowls WiFi signal was good. Check in was so easy, I was totally left alone the whole weekend and felt very comfortable and relaxed.

My only issue is turning left out of the property was impossible, not the hosts faults, but being on a narrow lane, people had parked right outside so you have to turn right. A bit annoying when you need to go left.

The property was in the location required.

Despite the weather being very cold the property had not been heated for our arrival and there was no hot water either. The kitchen was minute, more like a cupboard, and lacking in some basic essentials e.g no bread knife or tin opener. Although there were 3 bedrooms, each with a wardrobe, there were only 4 clothes hangers in the property which meant that we left most of our clothes in suitcases.

I stay here a couple of times a year when available. I stay in the annexe which is a lovely self contained unit with a large living/bedroom, a kitchen and shower room. It's warm and cozy, the bed is very comfortable, and it's nice and quiet at night.

The atmosphere, and the lovely greeting I recieved on arrival. The little cottage Annex was adorable, I felt safe and it was very peaceful place to stay. Extremely clean. Warmed up quickly, clean, private and tidy patio to sit and have coffee. I absolutely loved it and what a change ftom a hotel in town. Good lightening outside for returning after dark. definitely book again. Thank you 😊

The sensor light would click off while in bathroom. And only on a personal vibe would swap around the bed and the sofa so bed up bathroom end and sofa near kitchen so it flowed better, But that's purely on an OCD personal thought. 🙏😄 Definitely would love to return.

We stayed in the annex and found it very clean and comfortable. Had TV with free view and free WiFi. Bed was comfortable. It was perfect for what we needed. would definitely book again.

The kitchen could do with more utensils and glasses and a tea towel. The shower water was not very hot. Only one parking space allocated to each property and we found other guests had parked in the annex allocation every day so we had to park on the road, but that was down to other property guests not being very considerate.

parking was really awkward and we got blocked in at times, no garden to let dogs into, xbox wasnt working, cold and uncomfortable in living room, wifi only worked in the one room

Perfect location for visiting family. Garden was a brilliant space as we have dogs. Lots of good walks close to property.

Parking was good the first night. When we came to leave on Sunday morning a small red Toyota car had parked so far away from the wall adjacent to the cottage that it was very difficult to get out of the parking area. Our car has lots of sensors to help but still had to back out of property onto road outside. Luckily this is a quiet road.

Location was very good. Close to Motorway and lots of places to eat nearby. The beds in the main house were all very good and more than enough towels supplied. It was pleasant enough stay. Induction hob works well and easy enough to suss out. The cups and stuff are in plenty supply in the main cupboard in the small sitting room. Wi-fi worked well in the main house in the big sitting room which was nice and spacious. The owner was very responsive to texts and phone calls which was very helpful.

Unfortunately we had an incident in that the tank that supplied the hot water was broken on arrival. We didn't get to the property until late and we were looking forward to a hot shower as it was a very warm day. These things happen so we were more than accommodating. We had rented the annex across the courtyard as well for my parents so we had to shower there and come back over to the main house once showered. It took two days to fix and as a result, my children washed elsewhere as was going to be impossible to wash small children in the shower in the annex where the light is also timed and goes off if no movement detected rather quickly. Two days to fix is reasonable but doesn't detract from the fact that this was a frustrating part of the holiday. After fixing, there was no hot water in the kitchen until the 5th day so we had to boil the kettle to wash up, therefore I asked for a good will gesture of £100 from the price I paid which was £1269 for 6 nights. I thought that was perfectly reasonable but the owner didn't seem to think so. Rather than continue texting the owner, I raised a complaint with booking.com who offered a goodwill gesture immediately which is the type of service I would expect. The small reception area would be better if converted into a proper kitchen and the rooms and pictures are a little dusty and need a clean. The owners live on site in the chapel which is part of the main cottage separated by a set of normal interior double wooden doors looked by a bolt on either side. Recommend changing the bolt to something sturdy and perhaps a key locking door. The owners have up to 3 cars and park on the courtyard. Could be tricky for guests. I'd suggest that the owners park on the road and give priority to guests. Could do with a proper fridge really. Be careful if staying in annex as the rubber seal strip on shower isn't there so water will come flying out if you don't align shower doors properly.

very quiet location

Place was well warn and could do with modernisation. The automatic lights in the kitchen and bathroom were quite annoying.
