Overall a very cool place. The bookstore on the first floor is awesome. Be aware there are very limited English books.
The rooftop balcony was a nice place to chill in the evening air.
The staff were very friendly and helpful
Close to a shopping center, a transit station (Nijo) and Nijo Castle! Lots of amenities within a couple minutes walk, and many more by way transit.
My room was a good size with a huge bathroom! Has a tiny "kitchen area" with a kettle and fridge.
Bed was slightly uncomfortable, not the worst though. Took me awhile to get comfortable, but I did sleep all night.
The in-house laundry isn't worth using. It's the same price or more than most coin places nearby. But the dryer didn't even dry my clothes after 90 minutes (it was a small load)

The location was great and near a bus stop and 7-11. The books were cool and the toiletries were nice. The room had a small wet bar area too!
The beds were so uncomfortable and hard. The room key had to stay in the light switch to make them stay on. The room was small but the beds were just so uncomfortable!
