We loved the place. The location was perfect away from the hustle of north ocean blvd but close enough to drive 10 min or less to restaurants and things to do. Really couldn’t complain about anything. But the chairs on the balcony were supposed to be white and they were mostly black from being filthy. The couch and loveseat inside was stained with only God would know what, we had to put bedsheets over them before we would even sit on them. The glass table top was just smeared with dirt. The paint in the hall bathroom on the ceiling was peeling in the shower, as well as over the toilet. The shower doors in the Hall bathroom was very difficult to slide. Dryer vent was clogged with lint has not been maintenance in a long time. The door leaving out of the master bedroom to the balcony was jammed after a few minutes of working with it I finally got it to open. Door frames are all rusty. I would not recommend this to anyone, nor will I ever stay there again.

We got stuck for a few minutes in the elevator that appeared to have been vandalized earlier in the day, although it was fixed the next day. The pool was very grimy. The biggest downfall was that the hotel/ condo complex next door was party central until very late at night. Not a very good place to relax. Other than those things, it was fine.

We stayed in Unit #502 in the Carolina Dunes building in Myrtle Beach. The unit was exactly as pictured. We had two bedrooms, two bathrooms and large open concept living spaces. The unit was squeaky clean upon arrival and our parking passes were waiting for us on the counter.

The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and cups for our stay. We love to cook on vacation, and we had everything we needed. The fridge/freezer was large and had an ice maker which was an additional bonus.

The bathrooms could use a bit of updating/minor repairs,, but nothing that made us regret staying there. The water pressure and hot water was perfect for the three of us staying there (many times using both showers at the same time).

There was plenty of room for storage of our clothes and items, and the balcony was a good size. The furniture on the balcony could be upgraded and washed, as it is plastic and gets dirty from the elements. We LOVED that the sliding doors opened almost the entire way.

The amenities provided were sufficient, the building was clean and well lit. It was very convenient to have a digital lock so we didn’t need to take a key to the beach. The unit is overlooking the grassy area and has an amazing view of the beach. The pool was clean but always busy with families, so it was hard to enjoy some days (but that is inevitable!).

Some things to note if staying:
- The trash is no longer a cart, but a dumpster in the parking lot to the left of the building when looking at it from the parking area.
- The chairs and umbrellas are not free, so bring your own if you can

Property was nice I stayed at the dunes at least 8 x and went thru them. VRBO waste of vacation $$. Book direct, they did nothing but charge lots of fees , service charges endless. Book direct your paying for some else's advertising. Never again! Property was ok, kind of shabby and dirty behind bed in 2nd bedroom with 2 beds. Could have gotten a lot nicer for the money. Rental agents were very nice and efficient. Go to resort or rental company not VRBO ripoff

My family had a great experience at Myrtle Beach and the Carolina Dunes was a very nice property. The unit was nice and clean, with awesome views from the balcony, and convenient to necessities and attractions!

The pool was wonderful too, the pool chairs were very comfortable and I liked that there were also tables with umbrellas. The parking was right next to the building it couldn’t be better. Unlike most places where you have to use a parking structure across the street. We can’t wait to come back!

There were areas where the ceiling was peeling off and had black mildew or something around it. There was also a mildewy smell, especially in the bedroom with two queen beds. My family has allergies so this was an issue for us. I did leave a whole pack of coffee filters for future guests so that hopefully they won't have to run out late in the evening after being on the road 11 hours just so they can have coffee the next morning.

The carpet was laid, but not trimmed. Around the sliding door, the carpet was sticking up. Safety hazard. Bathrooms need updating. The living room ceiling was different shades of gray.

To start with, getting access to the appartement was a bad experience. I have looked through my past emails and could not find the famous PIN (entry code to the door). Some other guest referred me to complete idiots at the Caravelle across the street that did not even let me dial your 1-888 number on their front desk phone...but he knew I was supposed to have a PIN number. I finally got the PIN number and get into the condo and Sh..! the place has not been cleaned, even at 5PM. No bed sheets, dirty towels etc. Dialed the 1-888 number again, from the condo and your efficient and apologetic "on duty" woman organised for cleaning ladies to come to the condo "pronto"! Then the little things: The kitchen sink faucet is installed backwards, so that to get hot water, one needs to turn the leaver to the "right". The toilet bowl in the center restroom is loose on its base. As long as the wax donut holds problem! The shower faucet in the same bathroom is very loose. A "luxury Condo" should not have these little maintenance problems. But it should offer a "secured WI-FI". Finally, the place has a very noisy neighbour to the north: "The Caravelle", with its super noisy pop music at the pool area, afternoon and evening. We did not sit on the balcony and gave the air conditionner a break by keeping the patio door closed. Speaking of that is very difficult to open or shut. I guess from an other maintenance issue, the bottom roller bearings must be shot! And luckily there is a broom stick to lock that door as the door lock is also kaput. Location...OK General comfort...OK Overall cleanliness...OK, although we were surprised that a bug spray contractor had to go around the condo "once a month"...on the 5th floor
