Convenient location, very clean traditional Japanese house that is well equipped with modern facilities, private parking, nice quiet neighbourhood. I would have given it perfect 10/10 if not for the steep staircase leading to the upper floor. Our host Toru San was very welcoming, met us on arrival at the house and patiently explained everything in the house. He even helped us unloaded our luggage and parked our car. He has also been most generous to have stocked up some snacks and breakfast foods, which was most helpful to us for a comfortable start the next morning.

The staircase leading to the upper floor is a little steep, may be an issue for the physically challenged. Not a problem for our group of four members.

We had a wonderful stay at this traditional Japanese house! Very beautiful, had everything we needed, bikes too. Our host Toru met us at the bus station and explained everything, even got some food for us:) Neighborhood is quiet, with interesting places to visit around (Eikando temple, Philosopher’s path etc.)

The housse is beautiful and perfectly equiped. It's clean and comfy, the host is very welcoming and prepared us all necessery for (trop bath to good snacking and even breakfast). I recommand very much !

This is the perfect place to spend your holidays in Kyotos. the house is wonderful and close to the Silver Temple !

Toru was an excellent host! He really thinks of everything to make you feel at home. We loved the dinning area and heated floor. Also, very convenient to the bus line and the supermarket.

Our host provided us with eggs milk bread croissants snacks coffee and tea much more than expected. The property was very well set up and maintained. Host personally greeted us and answered many questions and gave us good suggestions.

A very well-located property is very close to the philosopher walk. We went there morning and evening and several times during our stays. There are a lot of temples within walking distance. There is a bus stop near the house. It is located in a quiet district so no noise. The shower is very nice. The host is super nice and the fridge was full: water, milk, egg, butter, bread, snacks...Nice to come to a place and not to have to go shopping for the basic. And very important there is a parking space

We knew it was futon beds but after 2 nights we felt a bit stiff. In the morning the house was a bit chilly. But overall we are very happy with our choice
