The atmosphere was good and the little patio outside the cottage was really nice.

It’s not that close to the lake as I imagined but it was very easy to get around.

Relatively peaceful surroundings, though it can be a little noisy due to road traffic every now and then (we were staying at the ground floor). Room and bed are positively huge. (it was fun rolling around on it) I know the building is a little old but that didn't really spoil the experience, and there more importantly, there wasn't any funky moldy smell as you might get from some old rooms. Perfect place for a hike along the west lake area, the main lake is probably around a good 20-30 mins walk away, but you get good views and fresh air. Breakfast provided consists of simple options of bread, side dishes, one rice one noodle dish, eggs, buns and porridge. Not the best food I've tasted in China, but still passable. Chinese chess board available in the main lounge area and plenty of books too if you fancy a bit of a stay in.

Air conditioner wasn't really working, mostly just works as a heater. Even though I marked the temperature down to like 16 degrees, it was still blowing out hot air. Had to resort to opening the window and door to try to get the room down to a cooler temperature conducive for sleeping. Shower and toilet is separated from the main room with a simple glass door, so get used to subjecting your travelling partner with the sounds/smell of your poop. Not much of space to hang your clothes in the shower too. Oh, and unless you don't mind giving a silhouette performance of your bathing routine, though the glass is frosted, the shadows reveal plenty (I resorted to showering with the lights turned off in the shower)

Staff are very friendly. Environment is perfect.

We got some present from the hotel it was lovely We had japanise smart toilet which can get warm before using The area was nice and peaceful, many restaurants around and beautiful lake and nature

Unfortunately, we expected more than we got. Bathroom had some black stuff in the corners, our TV was working only sometimes, wifi connection was kind of bad because we had disconnect always. Also workers don't speak English which make everything more difficult.
