I was pleasantly surprised! It’s a charming little oasis in the heart of Sayulita.
The location was excellent. Sayulita can be a little loud at night, but with the ceiling fans creating white noise, the street traffic was barely noticeable.

This is a great hotel just steps from the plaza. David, the manager, was friendly and fun, and the rest of the staff were also welcoming and kind. It's right across the street from a lovely coffee/breakfast place as well. Love this place!

very friendly and super close to the beach
WiFi and hot water could’ve been better but we realize that’s the way it is in most places in Mexico

location, price, spacious rooms w/kitchenette
6th visit and staff was much less hospitable than in prior occasions, unfortunately.

The bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We also had the room with the Palapa Terrace overlooking the street, which was much brighter than the room first offered (had close up view of a drainage ditch). So it was nice to have somewhere to sit other than the bed. also good for people watching.
It’s hard to separate the accommodation from its challenging location. The upside of this location is that you are a block to the main plaza and it level ground (no climbing hills, which is common in Sayulita). The downside of this location, is you are in the middle of downtown Sayulita, which is crazy noisy 24 hours a day and packed with car traffic and pedestrian traffic. The smell of diesel and exhaust fumes is unfortunately constant. If I were to recommend this location, it would be to young 20-somethings who don’t plan on sleeping for the entirety of their trip (even w earplugs).

music was too loud

location is very convenient.
all staff is very friendly and helped with all our requests.
Room 9, where we stayed for 5 nights was not what we expected - the mattress was very old and soft, there was no division between the shower and toilet and it was not well ventilated, so it got very muggy.
For the last 2 nights the staff moved us to room 2, which was much more pleasant - spacious, airy and with a king size mattress that felt so much better than the first one. The bathroom was also more spacious and had a division for the shower.
it is in the city center, so it is noisy until late in the night.

location was central to the town and amenities.
The noise from the surrounding area. We love music but there was some loud techno beat stuff that went on and on until 3 AM, making it very hard to sleep through it.

It's a funky place, cool design, very clean, friendly and helpful staff, comfy. With a small kitchen, fridge, bottled water, nice shower.
Loud music in the town kept us awake for hours, until about 3 in the morning. Very unfortunate. A couple more pillows would have been nice.

The location was so convenient, right in the middle of the action. During the day it was so nice, you walk off the busy street into a secret garden pool area surrounded by the bungalow rooms. Very lovely and beautifully Mexican.
The only problem was at night the nearby nightclub gets going and there’s a very loud bass thumping until past 3 am! This was a huge problem for us. we have small kids and wake up early.
We requested to check out early because of this and the hotel agreed to refund us which was nice. But actually getting the refund was a huge headache. I recommend the hotel finds a way to sound proof the rooms a little better to deal with this noise issue.

Awesome, friendly, helpful staff - everyone was always smiling and seemed to legitimately enjoy working there. The vibe was warm and inviting - the pool surrounded by tropical foliage was paradise. Great design, lovely colours, lots of plants. You wanted to just sit there with a coffee and and read a book all day. Except you didn't because it was so centrally located, that there was a ton of stuff to do just outside the door. It was our favourite hotel on this trip.
We went in high season, and booked at the last minute, so it was a little pricey. Also - the town itself is LOUD. We were awoken one morning by a drummer who thought that 6:30am was a good time to start a loud, protracted solo in the main square, which is a half-block away. I would imagine most lodgings in Sayulita share this drawback. If you don't like it loud, I advise you skip this town, and head 15 minutes north to San Pancho...

The property is bursting with beautiful jungle foliage. The location is close to everything. The A/C worked great. The bungalow rooms have a shared outdoor kitchen/dining area that's really lovely. The pool is refreshing after a hit day walking around.
As most of Sayulita getting a hot shower depends on when in the day you shower. Hot water runs out quickly. There's not much to be done for that unless the entire town changes the water system.

The location was amazing, steps from the plaza and the beach. The property was beautiful, bursting with gardens throughout. The pool was lovely and private. Room was clean. I loved the hotel and would stay there again.
It was loud at night, so bring ear plugs if you like to sleep.
