Great location to get to historic and picturesque West Lake. Close to interesting street market and other shops. Very comfortable stay and good breakfast with plenty of choice. Recommended if you go to Hangzhou.

I felt that I was double charged. First of all, I paid deposit during check-in, and then paid full hotel bills during check-out. However, later on, my credit card showed 2 transactions from this hotel ( I booked 2 rooms). I contacted the hotel but they insisted to say that was "pre-authrization"and will be refunded soon.... Doesn't make sense that I paid full deposit and bills, why "pre- authorization" after check-out???

Non-sokong room smell smoking at 1st night, request to change room next day. We had our 2 morning coffee & bakeries at their coffee shop , after 10 minutes of waiting , they told us they are running out of cream and milk and asked us can we drink black coffee instead. , Out of cream at coffee shop???

Jason, the hotel manager, did a wonderful job in assisting us with our room reservation and stay. He did everything possible to make sure we were satisfied with the hotel whenever we walked past him in the hotel lobby everyday. The entire staff at the hotel were helpful and pleasant.

A fantastic hotel in the heart of Hangzhou directly next to West Lake. Extremely large rooms that are very luxurious, everything you can wish for. Wonderful amenities. Great comfy bed. Very calm.

Nice location - close to the west lake and shopping areas. But the hotel seems to be unfinished with the back garden or square blocked. The gym and swimming pool etc was closed due to more than a year unpaid rent?! We were offered to use the gym in the grant Hyatt. It’s about 10 minutes walk by the lake. I think I’ll stay there next time!

Location is quite good. Not far from west lake and decently near the metro. Was slightly disappointed that they were renovating their health center (pool) was intending to have some light swim. Generally good stay.

Excellent hotel. 5* rooms and facility with a great location. Service was excellent, however much of their staff seemed pretty new to the operation (could have pulled in additional bodies for Golden Week). Either way, an absolutely stellar experience and a very positive first experience for us with the brand.

We loved staying at this hotel, location was great and friendly service make you felt at home. The staffs were amazing, Lorna, Lusy were wonderful help. Look forward to our next visit.

We had very nice stay. We liked that they have western staff, that made it easy to ask for help. They really paid attention to us and when we experienced minor issue it was solved in a very satisfactory way. Absolutely recommendable.

Very clean and spacious rooms, as well as great location of the hotel. Food not very vegetarian friendly at breakfast, and the quality of the room service food could be improved.

Initially we booked the rooms for two nights. After one night of stay, we decided to extend for another night at Wyndham Hotel Hangzhou instead of moving to Nanjing. Reason being was because this hotel real good in term of the services, room condition as well as the location. The staffs are all well-trained as they always attain to the guest’s request politely.

Excellent hotel and staff. Very clean, and the food is great.

We had an excellent time for our 35 wedding anniversary. The staffs provided excellent services and foods. West Lake was the most romantic place for us. Anita Araujo and Bruce Li at the check in time were wonderful. Michael Guo and Bela Wu at the executive lounge provided excellent drinks and foods. At the buffet breakfast, Ruslan Chaykovsky made the best Lattes for us and Angela was so sweet and lovely to greet us every morning. Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Hangzhou was the best.

We are a family of 9 with my elderly parents and young nephews. Check in was alright. We were given tea while waiting and my dad had a nice chat with Ms. Anita. There was a front desk staff Ms. Surich Zhao who was not so friendly and was bordering on being hostile. That kind of marred the whole experience. Rooms were big and spacious. We could open all 3 luggage at the same time and still had space to walk. There was a small clump of hair stuck to a sticky patch on our bathroom floor and my OCD sister was a little put off by that. Our rooms were on the 6th floor and guest rooms are only from level 3 to 9. We had to request for an extra bed in one of the rooms at 300yuan per night. The hotel prepared a cake for my sister’s birthday without us informing or mentioning to them at all. That was very thoughtful and certainly earned brownie points. There was turn down service every night and also a small plate of welcome fruits on our first day. Location is undeniably convenient. West Lake is just a 5 minutes stroll, Yan An Road shopping district is about 15 minutes walk and a night market around the corner is 10 minutes away. I would certainly return for another stay if I come back to HangZhou.

Hotel is only 5 minutes away from West Lake, MRT, shopping and restaurants. It is very convenient location if your want to stay close to West Lake. We stay in Executive Room and the service is excellent. There are one issue during checkin. They insist that I only booked the normal room from Expedia. I have to show them my Expedia Booking confirmation email in order to get the executive room. I am not sure who fault is it - Expedia or the hotel. My feeling is the hotel. This type of thing should NOT happen to a 5 star hotel.

Excellent service and close to West Lake

Practically every staff member we had contact with in our 3 day stay has been extremely helpful, some going out of their way to assist us. Very good value for money.

We had the best time: every room is luxurious and has a balcony. We had a view of the lake. They upgraded us to a lake view. Walking distance to West Lake.

This is one of the very best hotels that I've stayed at in China over the past 20 years. Ihave stayed at somewhat fancier ones but not at the price that the Hangzhou Wyndham charges (at least during June). Not only was it an amazing value (approx $200/night, breakfast included, for an executive room that gives you access to the executive club (happy hour, snacks), but the multinational staff (Chinese, Italian, Russian, German, Belgian) were extraordinarily eager to offer advice and to make sure everything was going well with the hotel stay. Add to this a 25 meter indoor pool, a good fitness center, and a first-rate breakfast buffet and it is hard to figure out any suggestions for improvement. Finally, the location is perfect if you plan to visit Xihu (West Lake) and the various parks, gardens, and temples near the lake. It is an easy 5 minute walk to the lakeside. In short, strongly recommended and I hope to have a chance to return to this hotel in the future.
