Good central location, easy walk to Shibuya and Daikanyama. Rooms and all public areas very clean. Very pleasant, efficient staff. VERY comfy bed!
Room was a little on the small side, I have stayed here several times in the past so knew what to expect, but I really only used the room for sleeping and showering so not really an issue - and this is Tokyo, all hotel rooms in my experience are small!

Onsen was nice

The location is good near to the train station. A lot of restaurant and cafe nearby and a convenience store.
I'm not used to sleeping on a hard bed, but I sleep well.

One of the best locations in Tokyo right next to the biggest Starbucks in the world and Meguro river which a great cherry blossom spot. Very spacious room for family with Washing Machine and Microwave facilities
Rooms are clean but carpets etc. getting a bit old and need an upgrade

The fact that the hot spring is only for men almost all of the time is really dumb. Even if more customers are men, a more equal distribution would be much better

the service and the bathtub
no issue

Right next to the Meguro river and the popular Starbucks Roastry
The “public bath” is only open to women 2.5 hours on Saturday and Sunday night- the rest of the time it’s men only. I’ve stayed at several Dormy Inns all over Japan and this is the worst ‘shared’ schedule, particularly when the charge you a ¥200 bath fee on top of the room rate when you arrive regardless.

It's in a really great location
This hotel has only one communal bath (which it by the way advertises in its communication) that turns out to be ONLY accessible to MEN during the work week, and certain times of the weekend. Women have a small window during the weekend. It's 2021 and Japan is still sexist, misogynistic and discriminatory, and frankly this is how these things manifest themselves. They'll probably just shrug it off and say, what do you do, we only have one bath available.
The hotel itself is fine, but I simply am not going to support such dinosaur-like ways because we need a better world.

Good value for the money.
The onsen (sento?) is simple but good, very appreciated in Tokyo.
In nakameguro, so many restaurant around, and some chill walks available :)

The property was equipped with washing machine (!), small kitchenette with microwave, fridge, cattle, dishes, etc. That was very convenient. The bathroom looked like a small sento - spacious, clean and convenient.
Both windows face noisy street of Tokyo's downtown, If you are a sensitive sleeper, like me, that could be a problem. Another issue is that the public bath is the Hotel is not available for ladies on workday, only on weekends and holidays and only during 3 hours. Discrimination.

I love this Japanese drama called "Good Morning Call" on Netflix... and it takes place in Meguro so they are always walking by the Meguro river red bridge, so I chose a hotel nearby because I'm a nerd. Anyway... a lot of the hotels I stayed at in Japan with the exception of the APA hotel chain have been small, I'm a 5'11 person, so sometimes the showers are too small and I'll hit my head on the top, or my knees hit the door when I use the restroom..Dormy Inn was WAY better than I thought it would be. It was so big I almost felt like I was in my own Japanese apartment. It is a little far from the subway/metro, but there are two stations: Naka Meguro and Ikejiri-Ōhashi Station. (Ikejiri was my favorite because it's near a grocery store).
Dormy has a lot of amenities if you need them and also some free food and light drinks at night after 9pm (at least at the time of this posting). I really enjoyed the lighting in the hotel room, the private bathroom, and that I had two separate sink areas. It is also across the street from one of the largest Starbucks' in the world (seriously, look it up) it's a four story building. Expensive though, And down the street from a lot of breakfast, lunch and dinner locations, and an urban mall.
Also the Meguro River is right outside the hotel and makes for some sexy night romantic strolls.
I think that they should have more pillows in the room. This is a weird thing to complain about I guess, but it was only one pillow. And I had to ask for another one. Just give people two pillows, because the pillows are really flat. Also they were doing construction by my room, so the view wasn't great, but that's what walking around outside is for.
Also, they need to get rid of that sexist women can only use the baths on the weekends rule. I was unable to use the Onsen at the hotel because of this rule as I was out late on the weekends and the hours need to be extended. Men can use the Onsen on the weekdays and they can use it until 2am, and the woman until 10pm or 11pm on the weekend. That's crazy.
