Great spot with easy access to a surprisingly not-crowded beach for Folly. The house description is very accurate - it's a bit weird, but still has a classic beach house vibe. The various stairs and decks might make it a bit dicey for very young children or folks that have trouble getting around, but it is an absolutely perfect spot for a boys weekend / bachelor party. The host was communicative the whole time and very helpful with the few minor issues that we had upon arrival. Would love to come again some time!

Reached out to while we were in the house to the landlord several times regarding safety concerns and hazards in the home with no response. Had to very pregnant guest with us and several people having to sleep on the floor after spending four grand because of the strong scent of sewage in one of the rooms rendering it unusable.

We arrived at midnight after 14 hours of airports and interstate driving, unable to access the house with the provided door code. The owner was not responsive and no contact information available. After an hour of waiting and trying, walking around the deck, we observed how very run down and in poor condition the home was in. Broken hot tub tethered shut, wood rotted deck and windows, cobwebs getting all over our faces. The inside did not look any more hopeful. We ended up having to get a hotel that night instead. Customer service could not get a hold of the owner the next morning either. We were stranded and needed to find arrangments so Im grateful vrbo cancelled our reservation. I would absolutely not recommend this home in this condition at any dollar price.

My wife owns a salon locally and treated the staff for a Folly Beach retreat. We ended up having 12 people, all slept comfortably. We had a reiki person come in and we all did a reiki session in the back deck. A therapist and personality expert come do a presentation in the living room. Plenty of room for large groups and so much deck space and levels that 12 people can all have their own spot to watch the sunsets. You have views of both the ocean and the marsh/folly river. This is in a very quiet area of Folly, down towards the lighthouse. The house is interesting, it’s the kind of place that I would tell my young and fun friends to stay but perhaps not my parents..if that makes sense. Two kitchens were pretty cool and we spent most of the time in the back kitchen and the back deck.

The house itself is as advertised; weird. The house is probably in violation of numerous housing codes. It’s like it was pieced together throughout the years $40 at a time from Home Depot, just awful. Borderline terrible. Shoddy work on the inside and out which gave us all an uneasy feeling for safety of the house. It was advertised to have a hot tub which was inoperable. The host asked if I would take some money back for the inconvenience but never responded afterwards and no payment was made.
