We enjoyed our time and would like to return!

We appreciated that our dog was welcomed and it was a great location! We appreciate LDNSt we were able to check in early!

There was no elevator but it was good exercise!

Two nights was not long enough!

We loved the location of this motel. It is in a quiet neighborhood, tucked in between condos and just steps from the beach. The people who run this place are organized and friendly. I was worried when we got bombarded by rules after making our reservation but upon arrival we didn't feel pressure to watch every move we made. There are chairs and sand buckets outside every door for smokers, which made us feel welcome as smokers. The property is marijuana free, which is nice not having to smell it every where you go. We have a golden retriever ESA and we brought him with us, for an extra $30 per night. He is also trained as a service dog however we were happy to pay since he sheds like crazy! Tile floors are great near the beach, but don't forget to bring "Fido" a soft blanket or pet bed to sleep on. We liked the cold fridge and microwave and hot coffee pot. We liked that the second bed was in a small bedroom, it gave us privacy from the kids! This motel is not luxury, but it was comfortable and clean. No bugs or dirty linens.

For us, these things are not deal breakers but tips to help make your stay better. The pillows were small and smashed so you might think about bringing your own with you. Check in is at 4pm, by the time we arrived (we hit an unexpected traffic accident on the way, in Philly) we got settled and the pool was closed (7pm). Plus they want you to check out before 10am. Even your car must be gone before 10am. It would be nice if they allowed you to stay parked in the lot til 3pm. That would give short term stay guests an extra day at the beach. A nice perk for guests that doesn't cost the motel anything, but goes a long way for satisfaction points. Check out would be nicer if it were by 11am. The pool was refreshing (heated, perfect temp) however I noticed an oily scum line all the way around the tiles at the water level. I work in aquatics and this can easily be cleaned off with a blue scrubby pad or a magic eraser several times a season. This is not anything the motel could control, but we walked to the boardwalk which is a 3 mile hike and on the way back we tried to flag down the shuttle bus that runs up and down Ocean Dr and it sped right on past us as we yelled and waved. The app was not working and we ended up having to walk all the way back at midnight. Never saw another bus the whole way back. It was awful! Thank God I carried a rechargeable hand held personal fan with me that was such a big relief on that walk. Also the amount of stores and restaurants that try to over charge you is crazy! Watch your receipts closely! We got a $31 broiled seafood combo plate, 2 small steamed clams, 2 shrimp, 2 scallops and a piece of whitefish (don't know what it was, not flounder), a lobster roll (charged $23 for a 5" bun w/barely anything on it), two drinks and got charged just under $70. Do math: 31+23=54 and 70-54=16 means our drinks were $16. Make that make sense! The Olympic Flame (boardwalk) tried to charged us for 2 extra drinks.

Great pet friendly hotel

Location was amazing for the price. Pet friendly and everyone was great with their pets. Rooms were clean.

Nothing was bad about this place…pillows could’ve been better but overall great!! We will be back.

enjoyed the beach and the pool.

That’s it dog friendly and that motel is near the beach.

when I arrived the cable was out, I called the front desk. They came an fixed it. When the person left the room,one of my personal item was stolen. I looked all around for it. couldn’t find it. Can’t trust anyone these days.

Nice motel and it accepts animals

The room was very good and everything worked correctly.

There are no accommodations for handi-cap people nor for senior citizens. Considering there are so many parking spots you need to put up a handicap placard temporarily in the spaces near the office depending on how many customers require a handi-cap spot. They have tall steps near the office making if difficult for seniors and handi-cap customers to use the steps They added a ramp to accomodate the customers but it is in the shape of a quarter of a circle so it is very steep and rounded with no hand rails and at the top is another step so it is not usable.

there were 2 double beds and a single bed i thought the room would be bigger no chairs or table thank god there were only 2 of us or the room would have been tight

Very pleasant, comfortable, friendly, accommodating.

Location was perfect. Very clean and room smelled pleasant like home.

Floor became very damp/ wet with showering. Maybe a fan in bathroom would help that.

Awesome staff but fair room

Leslie and other staff are very excellent, very accommodating and friendly. But the room is so small, bed is dancing whenever you move, towels are so thin and small. the toilet bowl doesn't flush all, have to flush three times to see it clean.

Two day vacay

I liked the property a lot! It was pet friendly with a lovely deck, pool, and two beds in separate rooms which is very rare to find! However, there wasn’t a phone in the room for any office calls, no iron, no travel size shampoo conditioner or soaps. Besides that it was walking distance from the beach and super quiet!

The manager was very nice, the location was great and the room was clean.

The beds are older and need some updating. Wish the pool was heated as advertised.

It as all around an excellent stay but I wish the cleaning people would of come earlier.

The pool was big and enough room to sit on both sides of the pool.

Wonderful stay at Beach Colony

I chose Beach Colony because I was looking for a place to visit for a few nights and would be bringing my dog along. The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel has a great location, with only a condo complex separating it from the ocean. Room was smelled super fresh and great care was taken to clean it each day. Like many properties along the shore, it is dated, but seemed to be taken care of nicely. Nice pool and common area to share also. most definitely will return. Doggie waste bags were a nice touch :)
