Du vol, a éviter absolument, sale, dégradé, et cher

Pas grand-chose de positif, le late check-in et... rien cet hotel est sale, pas entretenu, staff tout juste accueillant, les moquettes au sol sont sales, la clim fonctionne mal et bruyante, plus de pile dans la télécommande..., les tasses a café mises a disposition dans la chambres mal nettoyées , des restes de soupe dans la bouilloire c'est vraiment du vol de séjourner dans cet hotel et je ne parle pas du petit déjeuner servi dans la chambre avec une table, une chaise pour deux et un couvert a se partager... deux omelettes (bonnes et c'est a signaler) et trois tranches de pain pour 24$, c'est absolument scandaleux de toute façon, le staff sait que c'est du vol car ils sont gênés et ne parlent presque pas, ils évitent de croiser votre regard Ah si ! une autre chose de bien avec l'omelette, ils nous ont gardé nos bagages jusqu'a 15h gratuitement nous avons choisis cet hotel suite a une recommandation d'amis qui avaient séjourné la il y a deux ans et ils étaient vraiment étonnés de notre retour, que s'est t il passé entre temps ?

Wouldn't recommend

It was OK for a one night stay.

It was quite far away from central Colombo. The hotel wasn't very clean and there was mould in the bathroom. Wouldn't recommend.

Hieman kulunut perushotelli hyvällä sijainnilla

Valitsin hotellin sijaintinsa takia. Meillä oli asiaa läheiseen virastoon ja hotellilta oli lyhyt matka kävellä sinne. Sängyt olivat hyvät ja lakanat siistit ja puhtaat. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä.

Hotelli oli aika kulunut. Märän hajua kun astui huoneeseen. Valitsimme huoneen parvekkeella mutta parveke oli pettymys, maisema ei ollut mieltä ylentävä.

Прокурено, грязно, в санузле все протекает - унитаз, кмывальник. Брезгливо прикасаться к чему-либо. На кондиционере вековая пыль.

Отличный бюджетный вариант в центре города

Мы с друзьями останавливались в Коломбо на 2 дня перед дальнейшей поездкой по побережью, гостиница нам понравилась и полностью нас устроила. У нее хорошее месторасположение в центре города неподалеку от достопримечательностей (пешком 10-15 минут, либо на тук-туке), поблизости в 5-7 минутах ходьбы есть кофейня и крупный супермаркет, где продают все, начиная от фруктов, заканчивая готовой едой (1 раз покупали там готовую еду, вкусно, дешево, но остро :)). Сам номер понравился тем, что очень хорошая удобная кровать, чистое белье и полотенца, есть кондиционер в номере, столик и свободное пространство, где можно раскрыть чемодан. Правда освещение, как и везде на Шри-Ланке, немного тусклое, но это уже особенности страны. На цокольном этаже гостиницы находится караоке и вечером там шли какие-то мероприятия, но мы жили на 4 этаже и шума не было никакого, спать не мешало. Персонал был очень вежливый. Горячая вода была всегда.

Немного можно сделать мелкий ремонт в ванной комнате - у нас, например, была сломана ручка на оконной раме в ванной + была сломана крышка у мусорного ведра. Нам это не мешало :)

Good value and location

Walking distance to Galle Face Hotel and Marine Drive - this was my second stay and when I complained about the room smelling of smoke and being rather tired looking compared to room I had last time they found another much nicer room for me. At 5am in the morning when I found my flight had been cancelled they called Sri Lanka air for me to assist. Very comfy bed, good shower pressure and kettle and fridge make things extra nice too.

Make sure you don’t get a smoke smelling room.

La limpieza inexistente es fundamental!!

Linda hsbitacion , el aire acondicionado funcionaba bien, te dejan te , café y hay pava eléctrica ! Cómoda y linda hsbitacion … no muy cerca de lo que hay que visitar. El personal de la recepción muy bien la verdad!

La verdad en 3 días vinieron a limpiar al 2 día porque lo fui a oedir !! No te limpian la habitación , hay tierra en alfombra y muebles … si no limpian deben al menos cambiar la bolsa con residuos, reponer el papel higiénico y el agua!!! Había hormigas que si limpian todos los días ya es menos!! Había una lagartija en el cuarto porque la ventana del baño una parte es abierta!! Lamento poner esto pero la verdad tema limpieza inexistente !! El wifi también es inexistente en la hsbitacion!!

Basic value for money hotel

We asked the hotel to provide an airport pickup, however, when we arrived at the airport there was no one to pick us up.

Für eine Nacht in Colombo in Ordnung.

Das Hotel war sehr sauber und die Lage ist auch gut.

Leider etwas zu teuer für das gebotene. Der Fernseher hat nicht funktioniert und es gibt kein Restaurant ergo auch kein Frühstück.

Ottimo Hotel in centro a colombo

Camera molto curata e spaziosa. Personale accogliente e gentile, Questo hotel si trova in una posizione strategica nel cuore di Colombo, vicino alle principali attrazioni, negozi e ristoranti. È stato comodo esplorare la città a piedi o in tuk-tuk. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. Super consigliato.

Sarebbe stato ottimo avere sapone e shampo nel bagno. per il resto nient'altro.

A boutique hotel with polite and helpful staff at a budget price for business travellers!

Most of my meetings were in Hilton Residence and other places around Union place and we hence chose City Hotel which stood beyond our expectations! Politeness and hospitality were unmatchable compared to 5 star hotels. A boutique hotel with all modern facilities and spic and span in maintenance for the cheapest price that we paid. We recommend this hotel for business travelers.

Good for a short stay in Colombo

Clean room with all the necessary facilities. One of the few places that actually used the current USD/RS rate. Barista and Keells in walking distance.

The property is a bit away from the city "center" of Colombo.

Hotel lobby employee found our passport on check out, thanks a lot. Very new bathroom.

Hotel architecture and concept doesn't brings comfort. Glass qubical, no windows to open, but even if open than end up above ugly sity backyards views. Feels emotionally stressfull inside, like in glass prison. Carpet under feet's, not sure how can it stay clean. Was happy to run away in the morning.

Very nice staff

The staff was very understanding and helpded us with all our questions.

In our room were crawlies, especially on the carpet and a cockroach. The staff took care of it and gave us immeadiately a new room. The other room was cleaned out the same day.

Almost everything is great! It's a really good place to stay here.

The toilet was not clean when we came. The water from the shower goes off to the whole part of the bathroom if you use it longer then 4-5 minutes.

Different this time

The staff are good, friendly and professional, available at any time. Place is clean and decent.

When the hotel was attacked by protestors and things were broken, hotel staff and managers were not responsible enough to put guests in another safe hotel and we all had to find our way out of the city, while it is moral and business responsibility.
