Plenty to work on

Location was good.

Basement parking stunk like rubbish, skip was overflowing the whole time. Basement driveway was dirty, empty food containers sit at each side of roller door and workers from the surrounding restraunts sit on them smoking when trying to open the roller door. Room was dirty with greasy marks and heavy dust each side of microwave. No conditioner is provided with the shampoo. Room 810 is very close to basement roller door and you can hear it each time it goes up, please try to sort this out. Walls are not sound proof, you can hear everything in the rooms either side. Main reception corridor has a heavy curry smell. I have been informed this accommodation is no longer part of the Best Western group so will be rebranding. Extractor fan in bathroom not working. Overall not worth the rates paid, very disappointed, this place has great potential.

The room was nice & it was in a great location

The access & reception area of this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. It needs to up its game here as first impressions are important. On arrival I was certainly concerned that I'd made a bad choice

Very good value for money.

Rooms clean and comfortable, useful kitchenette. Secure parking available - spaces limited, but I got in with no problem. About 45 mins walk from central Christchurch, or there are frequent busses.

The room had a small balcony, but no outside space other than that. No restaurant (but plenty of places nearby and a supermarket just over the road). Shares an entrance with a ropey sports bar - but don’t let that put you off.

Nice room, beautiful bathroom, enjoyed our stay

No breakfast, Location handy to Airport, and wedding we were there for was on same side of the City. Plenty of casual eating places in close range, and Riccarton Mall within walking distance. Other reviews have mentioned close proximity to a Sports Bar, really not an issue, rooms totally soundproof.

Very cozy bed, friendly staff.

Would be cool to have the dining table and chairs inside as outside it was very cold to use it during evening time. The basin wasn’t clean.

Only thing I'd say is I'd like sky TV, but usually I'm in chch for business or social so don't usually watch much TV, this stay was for health reasons so would've liked something to watch on tv

We required a one night stay a short drive from the airport, and that's what we got.

A nice room not large but sufficient for our one night stay. Very nice bathroom. Supermarket and plenty of food options within a short walking distance.

Room was advertised as deluxe king with balcony. My idea of a balcony is an outdoor area with a view of something, not an area enclosed by 4 walls. So room was not as advertised. Also not sure why they insisted on taking copy of driver licence for a room already fully paid in advance. Must be a Best Western rule?

Superb

Kitchenette - wasn’t aware on forehand that the room had one. Now we were able to prepare some food ourselves instead of needing to find a suitable restaurant (which we didn’t for my 6-year old)

Relaxing, quiet stay with good room amenities.

Availability of free parking. Convenient location relative to university and suburban shopping. Good size room. Well maintained and clean. Good services and facilities. Small balcony area was nice touch even though it doesn't have a view - room feels larger and can perch outside if desired. Friendly, helpful staff on reception. Two desks useful

Awkward entry (my fault, should have read instructions better). Tight carparking but far from the most difficult I've experienced.
