Located in Bracey, this lovely house for $460 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Relax at this cozy waterfront log cabin with awesome views of Great Creek on Lake Gaston! This lake house has 200 feet of shoreline with a spectacular sunrise view of the lake. Kids can enjoy swimming with minimal boat traffic at your dock with over 8 feet of water. Great Creek contains 1.5 miles of an awesome cove to ski, wakeboard, and fish. You also have a covered dock with guest boat slip/lift. Your boat will be protected from rain and wake chop. This lake house contains comfortable living spaces and furnishings. It has spectacular views of Great Creek from the large lakeside deck and HUGE sundeck at the dock. There is deep water at the dock and just a few stairs that lead from the house. The home is a beautiful log cabin with full walk-out basement and garage. The 3 bedrooms and 2 baths are on the main level along with a relaxing living area with floor to ceiling windows looking out to the lake. The kitchen and second living area are on the lower level with additional lake views. The upper level has a wraparound deck and the lower level has a patio with rockers, table and chairs, gas grill, swings, and a fire pit! Total square footage is 2,850. High Speed Fiber Internet and Hulu Live/Disney+ streaming services are included. Bedroom configurations are: Master King Suite #1 - Main floor large master suite with queen bed, lake views, walk-in closet, and full private bath. Second bedroom - Main floor guest bedroom has double bed and closet next to full bath. Third bedroom - Main floor kids bedroom has two bunk beds with lake view located next to full bath. Main level great room has sofas and chairs with 60" HDTV with Hulu Live and Disney+ streaming services. This room is decorated with lake decor and has expansive views of the lake. The deck spans the width of the home and has a breathtaking sunrise view or for enjoying the shade in the afternoon. The eat-in kitchen is well equipped with all of the necessities including Keurig coffee maker, dishes, and utensils. Kitchen table allows for seating of up to 10 people and contains another great view of the lake. Rec Room - Downstairs rec room has 2 queen size sofa beds with 52 inch flat screen HDTV and ping pong table. There is an adjacent garage for extra storage of supplies and lake toys. There is a lower level covered patio with a table and chairs for picnicking, large gas grill, swings, and a fire pit for enjoying s'mores in the evenings. There is a short stairway from the house to the covered double boathouse with one slip/lift for renter, HUGE sundeck, and other lake floats, chairs, and life vests for renter enjoyment. This log cabin is located on Great Creek in the northwest quadrant of Lake Gaston. The home is a 10 minute drive from I-85. Great winery and golf only a few miles away. The creek is protected from the main lake by a no wake zone and box culvert. That keeps the everyday boat traffic to a minimum. With 1.5 mile run, it makes a perfect spot for slalom skiing and wakeboarding. There is excellent fishing right from the dock at the home. Crappie, bream, largemouth bass, and catfish are easy to catch from the dock. This property also has a Special Guest Fishing Permit that allows guests to fish from the dock, pier, or shoreline without needing an individual fishing license! The main lake offers a variety of good fishing spots as well.

A much needed getaway! Couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Communication with the host was great. This house offers everything you need or want to have the perfect getaway. The view of the water in the morning on the deck with a cup of coffee was one of my favorites. I would recommend and hope to stay there again.

Great lake house!
We had a great time relaxing on Lake Gaston. The house and boathouse/deck were amazing. This is a quiet location on the lake with very little boat traffic. The kids really enjoyed the paddle boards. Fishing is great in the lake, even from the dock. We would love to come again.

I cannot say enough good things about Brian's house! I stayed for 5 days with my husband and our two kids, ages 6 and almost 4. We love Lake Gaston and stayed in this same area last year, but that house was booked this time around. I'm so glad that it was, because this house was better in every way. Brian responds quickly to messages and provides all of the information you'll need in advance of your stay. He has thought of everything you'd need for a comfortable stay; so much is provided for guests. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'd need to cook meals, and it is recently renovated. Linens and plenty of paper products, trash bags, laundry detergent, etc. were provided. There is a paddle board and a kayak you can use, life jackets and pool noodles in the boathouse, plenty of folding chairs and a few lounge chairs. My kids loved swimming off the dock, and the water was easy for them to access by a small set of stairs you could lower into the water (there are also two ladders, but those were trickier for my younger kiddo). The dock's top deck is spacious and has a gate you can use to close it off from the walkway, which we loved because we could put our two dogs up there while we were swimming to prevent them from wandering off. There is also a gate installed at the top of the stairs in the house which would be great for families with babies/toddlers. Our kids loved sleeping in the bunk room, and the beds were all very comfortable. We loved eating dinner on the deck and swinging on the porch swings looking out over the lake in the evenings. We were very fortunate to have perfect weather our entire week, but if it were to rain, there is plenty to do inside - a ping pong table you could unfold in the basement, a chalk wall for kids to doodle on, satellite TV, and wireless internet (the most reliable we've found in any property we've stayed in on LKG). We were all very sad to leave, but we can't wait to book again next summer. Rent this house - you won't regret it!

Amazing lake front property-New years 2020
We really enjoyed our stay at this amazing lake front property. It rained every day but we didn’t had a single moment of boredom. The property was perfectly sized for our family of 5 and we spent the time honing our ping-pong skills, playing games, and exploring the surroundings during those moments of clear skies. Also, there is something special about this property that may go unnoticed ; the two living areas are perfectly proportional! that is the height of the spaces is half the width and the width is half the length. This spatial ratio shows up in other parts of the house including the stair opening and the double height space it creates. This may not be a big deal for some (I have to confess that my wife and I are both architects) , but finishing the chaotic 2020 year in such a beautiful property with well proportioned/orderly spaces was just perfect. Thanks to Brian for his hospitality.

Perfect Getaway
This property & owner get 5 star reviews for a reason! We had an amazing stay at Brian’s log cabin @ Lake Gaston. Spent 4 nights with our 3 kids & dog in celebration of my husband’s 50th! The location is perfect - the cove is generally pretty quiet (especially during the week) but large enough that we never had to leave to get in good skiing and tubing. We rented a speed boat from Northampton Marine (a bit far from the house - but we didn’t mind!) and spent all of our time on the boat and enjoying the dock & fabulous terrace above the boathouse. Brian is so kind to allow use of their paddle boards & kayaks. Boys fished from dock daily but had no luck. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need; including lots of paper products - thank you for that! All linens were provided & Brian made checkout a breeze by having us leave linens by the washer/dryer.
House was very clean, cozy & well organized. We had not ever been to this area before & 100% would come back! Great Creek cove & Brian’s home is absolutely perfect for a few days of fun family time! Thank you!!!!!

Wonderful Getaway
The home was welcoming, clean and perfect for a family-fun long weekend. The kitchen is stocked for cooking and two tables allow for families to eat a meal together. The view is beautiful and the dock perfect for relaxing. This area of the lake is calm and quiet and a wonderful respite from everyday life!

Spring Break Weekend
We took our 18-yr-old son and his best buddy (and his parents) for a weekend on Lake Gaston for their last trip together before heading off to separate colleges in the late summer. The house had all that we were looking for - good fishing off the dock plus a kayak (we brought a second), two stand-up paddleboards, good fishing, a fire pit for late night s'mores and a ping pong table for rainy days. There are a few board games but we brought some of our own as well. The dock is perfect - a top level for enjoying early morning coffee, mid-day sun and early evening happy hour - and a bottom level for fishing, launching kayaks, swimming, etc. The lower level also had a slip for a boat but we did not rent one since we were only there for a few days. There are also many life jackets in varying sizes and a great table for rigging fishing poles and cleaning your catch. The boys only caught 2 fish but one was a large catfish which was super exciting. The owner provides a guest fishing license so the boys could fish off the dock without us having to purchase individual licenses for them.
The cove was quiet and peaceful during our April weekend and it seemed that folks were not quite opened up for the summer season. I'm sure it's busier during the summer. There was a fishing tournament going on so several fishing boats were coming in and out of the cove but they were driving slowly and quietly.
We had a bit of rain during the weekend so the ping pong table was key. We played various tournaments and individual games to keep us busy inside as well as some rounds of Scattegories and Heads Up (which we brought).
The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking utentils, pots and pans as well as a blender, food processor, traditional drip coffee pot, Keurig, etc. There was plenty of seating space for a group as well as tons of paper products. Many spices and condiments were left behind for our use.
There were plenty of towels and the beds were super comfortable. Plenty of toiletpaper and tissues were provided as well.
The grill is huge and was in great working order.
There are two living areas so that groups can split up - one watching TV and another talking or playing board games. Both areas have large modern TVs.
The owner was very responsive to emails and texts and was incredibly helpful and friendly.
I would highly recommend this property to any group looking to spend time on Lake Gaston.

Serenity in a Cozy Atmosphere
We thoroughly enjoyed our Thanksgiving vacation at this wonderful home. Our family of 4, a set of grandparents and dogs, fit nicely. The 3 bedrooms were ample size and had 2 bathrooms which worked well. The large eat-in kitchen was well-equipped with all the pots, pans, bakeware and utensils we could ever need for a scrumptious Thanksgiving meal. Brian was very easy to deal with and responded quickly to any of my requests.
The firepit was a hit for smores one night and the grill was big enough to fix burgers and dogs for all 6 of us. The steps leading down to the private dock were very sturdy and the deck on top of the boat house was perfect for overlooking the lake.
Overall, it was a fabulous home away from home. Thank you, Brian for maintaining such a wonderful home.

Great Family Getaway
Great family friendly cabin. Brian was great to work with and very fast on communication. Our family stayed for a portion of spring break. The family enjoyed ping pong and darts every evening. The kitchen is well equipped and clean, we made breakfast and dinner everyday. The neighborhood was peacefully and great for walking the dog. The views are so relaxing. Fishing off the dock was very busy - caught sunfish, catfish and crappie - little too chilly for the bass yet. We had a great time and are looking forward to coming back!

We had a WONDERFUL stay!
All of our family met at Brian’s cabin for Thanksgiving for a few days. It was perfect! The cabin had everything that we needed - especially the kitchen where we prepared our Thanksgiving meal. We lacked nothing! The cabin was spacious and cozy! Brian was great to work with and answered my emails right away. We would definitely recommend his property to our friends!
