Located in Door County, this lovely house for $747 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Welcome to Lulu's Bayside Retreat! Welcome to our cozy cottage with 200 feet of shoreline directly on the Bay. Wake up to the sound of water lapping on the shore, deer wandering by and birds singing in the trees. Watch as boats and ships make their journey north from Sturgeon Bay. Splash in the clear Bay waters, take a kayak for a ride, fish off the dock or just sit on the shore and enjoy the sites and sounds of our secluded location. End the day with a glass of wine on the deck or sit around the shore side firepit and watch the most amazing sunsets and cloud formations on earth. Make time to relax. Plan your trip today! We named our home after our 4-year-old yellow lab who loves everything about our property. She especially loves launching herself off the dock to chase a ball or jumping in the boat as our boys head out to do a little fishing, so much she wears a lifejacket! She is so happy we bought this home for her... While we do allow dogs, we have a strict one dog maximum. We are very sorry, but this is necessary to properly maintain our property for future guests as well as assist our cleaning service during guest turnover. Sorry, we cannot make any exceptions to this policy. Experience our warm and inviting 2400 square foot (approx. 1,500 sf main level and 900 sf walkout basement) Bay Shore home located on a 3.3-acre heavily wooded lot set far back from the road with 200 feet of waterfront. The open concept main floor features a living room (20' x 15'), dining room (12' x 10'), kitchen (13' x 14'), master bedroom (14' x 13' with new Verlo queen mattress), 2nd bedroom (14' x 10' with 2 twin beds and pull out trundle bed), 3rd bedroom (12' x 12' with new Verlo queen mattress), full bathroom, and powder room. The main floor also includes a wood-burning fireplace set in a gorgeous stone chimney and sliding doors that walk out to a 14' x 53' elevated deck. Living room, dining room, kitchen and master bedroom all have amazing views of the Bay! It even has a nice sized screened porch (22' x 6') off the dining room facing the Bay and a 2 car garage for your use. Has forced air heat and central air conditioning. The living room also has a large screen TV with DVD player with local channel television stations. The walkout basement features a giant recreation room (15' x 36') with pool table, full bath, nice sized bedroom, gas fireplace and new carpet. Wall to wall windows and door leading outside provide great light and views of the Bay. In addition to the two twin beds plus trundle in the basement bedroom, the basement couch also converts to a queen sized bed. Basement has a laundry room with new high capacity washer and dryer. Basement recreation room also has a large screen TV with Xbox, Wii and local television channels. Recreation room has tons of space for the kids to play while the adults can enjoy peace and quiet upstairs! The large main deck has a patio table that seats 8 plus stairs to a lower deck that has a table with seating for 4-6 people. The main deck also has a nice sized area with Adirondack chairs. Both decks overlook the Bay. The property has a large grassy sitting area on the shore with a picnic table and a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs. The shore also includes a dock with both ladder and stairs for swimming and water fun! There is even a swing set with a slide, 2 kayaks and paddleboard for use by all guests. Life vests also provided! Do not tie kayak or paddle board to dock as this will damage our dock due to waves tugging on kayak/paddle board and therefore damaging dock. VERY IMPORTANT: Guests cannot use our dock or boat lift to store there own boats. Any boat tied to our dock will very quickly damage our dock and your boat. The dock is not designed for boat tie ups. Egg Harbor Marina and Murphy Park offer boat ramps for daily boat trips. We hope you love Lulu's Bayside Retreat as much as we do. There is plenty of room for 10 guests to relax and enjoy everything Door County has to offer.

We enjoyed all the natural beauty this home provided. The fall colors were amazing and despite the cooler weather we were able to explore the beach and take walks, roast s’mores and spend a good amount of time outside. The house was comfortable and clean and we enjoyed our stay here for our family vacation!

LuLu's was the perfect vacation spot for our family. The water views were breathtaking. Listening to the waves crash in the shore while watching the sunset... pure heaven!
The house had very comfortable beds, the kitchen was well stocked with whatever you may need to cook. The pool table was a hit for our family! Many competitive games were played. Being surrounded by woods was very nice for privacy. Being we stayed in October, the woods was absolutely gorgeous.
We would definitely recommend LuLu's to our friends and family.

A perfect and beautiful cottage to enjoy Door county , close to many center of interest and there are a lot around. Living room and kitchen are bigger than it looks like on pictures. Family room is perfect for kids. We spent 2 weeks , 2 families with a total of 9 members with youths, teens and a dog, and it was a perfect fit for our group. Access to the beach is easy, fire pit well located for marshmallow’s parties! Kurt is a very helpful owner , very reactive if you have any questions. Last but not least , sunsets are absolutely stunning , right in front of the deck!

What an absolutely wonderful place! The driveway leading up to the lovely home sets the tone for what lies before you. The wooded lot is such a peaceful place and the lone deer that greeted us at least twice a day was a treat! The home is just that, a home away from home! So welcoming and incredibly comfortable. Then you step out on the top level porch and the view just totally relaxes you. It was like staying in a treehouse and that just made it even more awesome! Great place, we feel so lucky to have found it and we can’t say enough about Kurt who was awesome to work with and helped make our stay even better.

We recently stayed at Lulu's Bayside Retreat while visiting family in Egg Harbor, and couldn't have asked for more. The property was very clean and comfortable. The views were amazing, and proximity to Egg Harbor was perfect for us. We were close enough to the action while being far enough for some peace and quiet. As a cyclinst, being situated on Bay Shore Dr. was also a huge plus. The hosts were very pleasant in our communication and very accomodating. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend Lulu's and the Schmelters to others without any reservation. Thanks again for some great, new memories and a wonderful stay!

This property is a destination in itself. We have always loved Door County with the many activities it has to offer and staying in this beautiful lake home enhanced our visit so much! It definitely deserves the 5 star rating it has maintained. Not only does it have beautiful furnishings and amenities like kayaking and a firepit by the lakeshore, it also has awesome views of the lake and sunset. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck to take in the views, being in a quiet peaceful setting, and staying in a comfortable home. The hosts respond quickly and are friendly and professional. All that Door County has to offer is nearby, along with chain stores in Sturgeon Bay for necessities. Thank you for a wonderful, memorable stay!

We used this house for a winter family trip to Door County. It's a lovely house with great views, an open concept, and plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and has a great view from multiple windows. The kids in our group had fun using the pool table and playing games. Location is very peaceful and quiet but still a quick drive to stores, restaurants, and the state park. It was great to come back and use the fireplace after winter activities. The house has an amazing deck and it would be great to go back during the summer and take advantage of the lake.

If I could give this property more than 5 stars I would. The location was perfect. The home was spotless and had everything that we needed to prepare our Thanksgiving dinner. The views are awesome with decks that overlook the bay. We can’t wait to go back this summer and use the fire pit by the shore , the kayaks and paddle boards. This home is perfect for a family but would also be great for a group of friends. We have stayed in numerous VRBOs. This was by far our favorite. If I could own a home in Door County this would it. No need to look further.

My wife and I traveled up to door county this fall and it was beautiful. The property had a great layout and breathtaking views of the lake. The drive to the property on the winding roads with the vibrant oranges and reds of the fall leaves was amazing. Would love to go back to this property in the summer. Close to a lot of restaurants and activities.

The home is perfect for group of friends or family. You have everything you need for a great stay. The only reason I gave 4 stars for cleanliness was there is a musty, damp smell in lower level and cleaning crew caused a delay in check in. So the cleaning crew issue is one of those uncontrollable situations and just delayed check in by a couple of hours. Not a negative against the property or owner and nothing to stop anyone from enjoying this property.
You can enjoy beautiful sunsets and the location is ideal!

Gee. Should I really say? I'd like to be able to snap this rental up whenever humanly possible, so I selfishly cringe at offering a 5++ Star review. But there you have it. It really doesn't get much better. Super comfortable. Gorgeous setting. Nicely appointed with many extras. Clean as a whistle. Great communication and hospitable hosts, easy check-in and out. Oh. One negative: we had lousy weather and couldn't use kayaks. Really hope to go back with sunny skies someday. Thanks so much for our stay with you!

Our family spent a week at Lulu’s retreat and it was wonderful! There was something for everyone across our three generations who stayed there. The adults loved relaxing in the back and watching the sunset, while the kids played along the shoreline or thoroughly enjoyed their first experience with the Nintendo Wii. Now that we are home our kitchen table dinner view seems so blah! We had an amazing time!

The house and grounds were well maintained, clean and roomy. We absolutely loved the back patio and spent the most time out there. The sunsets each night were beautiful. The beds were very comfortable and we loved having access to the garage and all the toys (kayaks, outdoor games, etc). We are already hoping we’ll be able to book again next summer. Owners had great communication and the description of the property was accurate. If anything the house was BETTER than described.

Stunning views, idyllic location.
The property couldn't be better situated-- right on Green Bay, close to all sorts of things to see & do. Seriously-- the only drawback was the woefully slow internet connectivity (either wifi or cellular), but as my whole family reminded me over and over... "you're on vacation!"

Great location right on the water. This house provides something for everyone. Our kids loved the lower level with a pool table and Wii. The upstairs was comfortable and inviting with the sun flooded living room. Unfortunately, we were there in winter and didn’t get to enjoy all the outdoor activities the house has to offer. Will need to come back in Summer!
