Nestled in Highlands, this attractive cabin for $296 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Cozy & Well Appointed. Private, Wooded View. Awesome Location. Pets LISTING IS FOR CARRIAGE HOUSE ONLY, not the main house. It doesn't get more cozy than The Carriage House at Wyanoak. The perfect spot for a couple or small family, this rental gives new meaning to peace and quiet. The Location: Wyanoak Carriage House is located within the Highlands, NC town limits near Mirror Lake. It's just far enough from the beaten path that guests are tucked away in the woods, but only a mile's drive to all the shopping, dining, and nightlife on Main Street. Take a quick walk down to Mirror Lake and enjoy the canoe, which is accessible to our guests. The Property: Wyanoak Carriage House located on a 1+ acre lot that's shielded from the street by a wall of thick evergreens. We own the adjacent wooded lot, giving the property an element of privacy and beautiful views of nature. From the carriage house, guests can admire beautiful landscaping that is indigenous to the area. The Cabin: Wyanoak Carriage House has wood ceilings, wide-plank hardwood floors, and the most comfortable bedding you're likely to find. The Layout: Guests wind around the carriage house via their own private entrance. Past the fire pit with Adirondack Chairs, guests enter the studio. The full kitchen is on the far wall with a queen bed to the left (under the front bank of windows) and the sofa is on the right along with a door to the single bath with tub/shower combo. There is a walk in closet and built in wormwood cabinetry for storage. Guests staying longer than 1 week have access to the washer/dryer in the garage. The Area: Highlands, NC is the premier mountain destination in the Southeast. Lined with shopping, dining, museums and galleries, the bustling mountain village centering around Main Street is straight from a Norman Rockwell painting. Previously a summer/fall hotspot, it's quickly becoming a year-round destination. At 4,118 feet, it's one of the few temperate rain forests in North America, bringing botanists and nature lovers from all over the world. Highlands is also a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. With an abundance of opportunities for biking, hiking, horseback riding, tubing, canoeing, fly fishing, and whitewater rafting, adventure-seekers will not find a more beautiful backdrop. The Details: A desk area is located across from the sofa. This area is also equipped with a large flat screen TV with fiber-optic cable and wifi. The kitchen has a drip coffee-maker is stocked with general kitchen essentials and then some. All of our cabins are pet friendly with prior approval and a nominal pet fee. Parking is available for ONE car. **We cannot be responsible for weather related/ and or personal emergency issues affecting travel. All guests are encouraged to obtain travel insurance.

This property is fabulous. It is extremely clean and has all the amenities you can think of in a vacation rental. The bed was very comfortable and you have all the cook ware you needed of high quality. Beautiful surroundings and very close to town for shopping. Everywhere downtown is Pet Friendly.

This was our first stay at the Carriage House at Wyanoak, and if I could give it 10 stars I would. This place is great - comfortable, well decorated, and quiet! It was the perfect place for my husband and me to celebrate our anniversary. After sight-seeing during the day, we were always glad to come home to "our little cabin" to relax. The kitchen had everything we needed, the shower was amazing, the bed was more comfortable than our bed at home. Even the landscaping was perfectly done. We have already recommended this cabin to several family members and friends. We hope to return soon.
Caveat: we had originally booked an old, well-known hotel in town for our 10-year anniversary in 2020, but Covid prevented that trip from happening. It took us 3 years to re-schedule our trip to Highlands and we decided to stay away from the bustle of downtown and rent this Carriage House. Best call we could have made. It's not far at all from downtown so we still enjoyed shopping and fine dining, but If you're looking for beauty, quiet and a slower pace, the Carriage House is your place!

Visited with my to celebrate our marriage of over 30 years.
The location was perfect - with a view up and down the mountain, close to town and easy to find. We felt we were in a fancy hotel suite, tastefully decorated and with anything you may need to stay in and have fun.
The bed is very comfortable, the sheets soft and there are several types of pillows.
A spacious sofa facing a flat screen TV with many apps to watch anything.
The bathroom is small, but not crammed. Hot water was quick to come out - it was 30F at night! And a small closet was more than enough for two people.
We could brought our small dog!
Ride into town is short and simple. BBQ restaurant and Art display also nearby.
We will return to this small cabin!

We booked this carriage house along with the bigger house for a family trip. This carriage house was perfect for my adult son and his dog. It gave him a separate space to sleep and was the perfect size and had everything he needed. The bed was so comfortable and was cutely decorated. I recommend this space for a single or couple - it's the perfect size to be comfortable and is close to town to enjoy everything Highlands has to offer. We'll be back for sure!!

The carriage house was perfect. I would add., along with others, that there needs to be a motion detected light of some sort in the back. We came at dark, stopping off at my parents first, and it was hard to manage. Also bushes being trimmed back would be nice to as it was drizzling and we had to navigate between them. Otherwise, the stay was perfect. Thank you.

The Carriage House was amazing! Every detail was wonderfully thought out. The house was fully equipped and we had everything we needed for a wonderful getaway!!! The bed linens and towels were very nice. The house was very private and quiet, so relaxing after hours of hiking and the bustling of town. The host was extremely helpful with tons of suggestions for hiking, dining and recreation. I would highly recommend this wonderful vacation spot. We will be back!!

Gorgeous tucked away stay
This little rental was perfection. They really thought through every single touch. The sheets were the softest I’ve ever felt, I even looked for the brand when stripping the bed at the end of our stay. Even my 9 year old commented multiple times about how fancy and nice the carriage house was. Decor was spot on, the shower has amazing water pressure, which was soooo enjoyable after a hike where we got caught in the cold rain. The WiFi was super spotty to nonexistent at times, but our cell service worked the whole time (AT&T) and there are tons of cable channels to choose from so it was a non issue!

We loved The Carriage House!
Not your common carriage house. It was designed beautifully & had everything one might need. We stayed six days & loved every minute. Best thing is we were able to bring our fur baby with us. It’s a great location & convenient to everything. It’s a carriage house so the main house is next door but it was never a problem and we felt as if we were alone in the woods. Kristy the host is very helpful too.

Surpassed our expectations
I could start with the ease of booking and end with the special cloth to remove make-up......but there are FIFTY other wonderful things in between! We stayed in the Wyanock cottage.It is a perfect size to relax in! We were booking our next trip
(to try out a different cabin) within 24 hours of arrival.If you are accustomed to (ahem) nice things, Elevate Highlands is the only agency you should book with. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful week’s stay!
The garage apt. is modern, very attractive, comfortable, clean, fully equipped, and quiet. Plenty of room for two adults and a small dog. We could not have been happier and plan to return again.

Just as represented
The Carriage house was exactly as shown on the website and pristine upon our arrival. Great attention to detail with lighting, paint colors, comfortable mattress and numerous cable and streaming options for TV. Very fast internet (My speed test showed 35 MB/Sec) and strong wi-fi signal thanks to high-end extender in the carriage house. Only downsides (not the fault of Elevate) are iffy "streets", one-way only traffic (drivers have to figure out how to "play chicken" if they meet head on) and during out stay, frequent commercial vehicles doing infrastructure work that required squeezing by at a snails place, or re-routing to reach the Carriage house. The only other observation (Again not the fault of Elevate and luckily not needed) is the lack of trauma care at the local hospital. We heard several stories from locals that had loved ones that had to be life-flighted to Ashville for life-threatening conditions. Ashville is one hour and 50 minutes by road...16 minutes via an EC-135 helicopter. Given the wealthy, older demographic that populates Highlands, one would anticipate top-tier trauma 1 healthcare without the necessity of a $15,000(+/-) medevac. Again no complaints with Elevate, just some issues with Highlands, the town.

Perfect getaway
The carriage house is even better than pictured. Such a comfortable space for a weekend getaway. Kristy is such a gracious host. She took care of every details and was very communicative. She even let us use her canoe and paddles. We loved spending an afternoon seeing mirror lake from the water. The neighborhood is perfectly located just 5 minutes from town and it’s quiet enough that we felt totally safe walking the roads with our pup. We cannot wait to return. What a relaxing spot.

We enjoyed our stay at the Carriage House. I was concerned that it would be too small for a couple with 2 dogs but we did just fine. The design is so well thought out & in true Kristy fashion, the decor is perfection. Very tasteful & luxurious! Every space is utilized. It was great to have a full, well stocked kitchen. Thankfully we had great weather & were able to enjoy the patio area. It was very comfortable & we had wonderful star gazing views with firefly light shows. The landscaping is also very well designed & we enjoyed that. I am confident that when we rent one of Kristy's properties everything will be great!

My husband and I wanted to see Highland but we had our two corgis in tow. The dog friendly hotel looked a little strange, some of the other rooms in town were tiny. And then we spotted this little carriage house. It was the perfect find. Way bigger than the average luxury hotel room, it has a great little kitchen, very nice bathroom, top notch bed, great furniture and a nice little desk if you have to work like I did. Right outside the room is a level stone patio with a fire pit. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained and we would stay again in a heartbeat. The adjoining house is gorgeous too if you need a bigger place to stay. Close to town, close to everything and yet private and quiet. Excited to recommend—GO!
