Alyeska Cabin is a one room cabin that has a loft with both a king & full sized bed. The living room also has a queen sized sleeper sofa for additional guests. Enjoy the wood burning stove after a day of adventure if you like, however gas is the main heat source in the cabin. When you arrive you’ll find my homemade blueberry bread on the dining table and a binder full of information on activities in the area, menus from our favorite restaurants and information on discounts available to you while staying at Alyeska Hideaway Log Cabins. Everything was as described and we found the setting to be relaxing and convenient to all the things we wanted to do. The house is tucked away at the end of a little road and Lynne and her sweet pups were there to greet us when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked and my only complaint was the kitchen faucet, which was hard to get in just the right position for consistent, hot water. We never use the woodstove, but there was a handy gas heater that was easy to turn on in the evening We would 100% stay here again!!

Property was as advertised, clean, and had everything we needed for a birthday ski weekend with teens and friends. The hosts are super friendly and responsive. They even maintained communication with me to help me retrieve an item I’d left behind! We are happy, satisfied guests and would stay again!

It was everything promised and more ! Everything was perfectly set up for a short stay. Very beautiful time to enjoy the snow and we even slipped a hike to the falls.

Cabin was decent enough but WAY overpriced for a non level cabin with two old beds in the loft and no shower…..it’s ok but it will be last on my list of the places to choose in Girdwood. The dirty old grill was nice to have use of but beware as it sits next to the owners dog excrement zone. I’m a commercial fishermen and bushpilot so I don’t need the Ritz but for $900 for two nights it a bit of a let down.

We loved our stay here! The owners are really nice and very welcoming and the cabin was beautiful and had modern amenities. The property itself was really nice and well maintained as well. We really appreciated the owner’s initiative to take our very curious son on a short hike with her dogs behind the property. He had a wonderful time and came back all excited about the blueberries and mushrooms they found. Highly recommend to others.

Lovely Alaskan setting, comfortable and classic. It’s a beautifully updated treasure of a cabin that is thoughtfully appointed. We enjoyed a fire. For fall/winter it does take a few minutes to heat up, but once it does it’s lovely. Would definitely stay again. However, anyone with mobility issues would be challenged.

This cabin was a perfect size with great amenities and the hosts are so welcoming and right next door if you need anything! We took a walk down the trail to Alyeska Slush Cup with perfect weather. Located just close enough to everything in Girdwood, yet placed back adjacent to the woods to make you feel secluded.

Lynne was a fantastic host--her hospitality makes this cozy cabin---a five star review. From the time you arrive from the time you leave--she is there to answer your questions -make you feel comfortable and go beyond service. It is like making a friend--may it be the homemade blueberry bread, the fresh picked mushrooms--or the expert direction on hiking trails. The cabin offers all possible ammenties--in a great location, it is perfect for a couple. The owner is quite good about communication so we knew all to expect in regard to construction on another unit and the highway work underway. Girdwood is a quaint little town with several very good restaurants. It is conveniently located nicely between Anchorage and Whittier. The cabin is decently appointed and suffices as a short stay vacation cabin. For me with bad knees it would have been nice to know that the steps to that second floor loft is essentially a ladder. You pretty much must leave all of your clothing downstairs as there is no place to keep your clothing upstairs. This is not very private but is set back in the woods with other homes. Any criticism is outweighed by the location and the care and concern of the owners.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights. It was a great home base for local exploration. Enjoyed going to Whittier one day and riding the tram / hiking at Alyeska. So nice to have a full cabin for the same price as a hotel room. Full kitchen if you choose to do your own cooking but great restaurants very close by.

This property is a lovely little cabin in Girdwood. However, the sleeping situation was a challenge for our family of 5 which includes three teenagers. Be aware that the loft bedroom has a nice king size bed, but the second bed is tucked under the A frame ceiling in a manner that only one of our teens could sleep there. The third bed (a couch/futon on the main floor) was also comfortable for only one teen/adult, which meant that our third teen spent the night on the floor. The owners were very nice and were thoughtful enough to call us before check-in to make sure we knew of some local construction that made it difficult to see the street sign. Overall, I would recommend this property for smaller groups.

We ended our recent Alaska vacation at this property and it was a nice way to do so! Lynne was a welcoming host who had a couple of loaves of (yummy) blueberry bread ready for us upon arrival. My daughter fell in love with her two dogs (Ollie and Monster) who also welcome guests to the cabin. The cabin itself is clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Stocked kitchen, toiletries, comfortable beds, solid WIFI signal and basic TV. The location is also good. Easy to get to attractions in the area - the Alyeska Tram (we skipped it due to cloudy/rainy days), Wildlife Conservation Center (inexpensive and fun stop for all ages, IMO), Crow Creek Mine (do it yourself - no pre-seeded pokes!)... Restaurants are also nearby.

Our family of 5 had a nice stay at Alyeska Hideway. The location is great - close to everything. Lynne' is a wonderful host, who lives next door and is readily available to answer any questions. The warm blueberry bread was a treat when we arrived. While there is enough room to sleep 5 people, it was a bit tight. The cabin is clean, cozy and well equipped. Really easy check-in and check out process.

This cabin was terrific. If you're looking for a place that has an Alaskan feel but is also clean, comfortable and near excellent hiking or biking - rent this place. It was clean, spacious and appointed with everything we needed to make dinner at home. Lynne' was there on our arrival, showed us around and provided tips on dining, music and grocery options. She also showed us a map of all the excellent hiking options in the area. Our bed in the loft was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The little loaves of blueberry bread were a welcome treat after a long drive. The availability of coffee and half and half in morning was also a plus. I only wish we could have stayed longer.
