We have had the most incredible time staying at Casa Kristyna. Tom the owner was super ( and very patient!), answering all our questions before we arrived. Reuben the property manager and his wife Theresa could not have been more helpful; from booking tennis courts and organising the best trips for us - they truly were amazing. The house is located on the most spectacular golf course. It’s cheaper if you play the twilight session and they let you on earlier than advertised so it’s still possible to play 18 holes. My boys loved it! The local amenities are all within walking distance so we ate out most evenings but the kitchen it so well equipped that you could easily eat at home every eve. We visited 2 cenotes, Tulum, Chichen Itza, Valleldeloid, Cozumel and took a snorkelling boat trip to see the coral reef at Puerto Morajes, Every trip was an adventure and we loved coming back to cool down in our pool. There’s loads of games here, towels, hair dryer…even hair straighteners! We don’t want to go home. Thanks Tom and Karen for sharing your home, and Reuben and Theresa for making our stay so special.

This place was very clean and nice. The property manager and wife was very friendly and helpful. Wished I could have stayed longer. My friends and I would definitely stay here again. This is a beautiful property. My family had a wonderful time thanks to Ruben and Tere being there for anything we needed. These two are so helpful. I can’t say how much we appreciated them. The property felt very safe. The house was perfect, pool was perfect. Setting was beautiful and relaxing. Everything we needed was in walking distance. Tom was so easy to communicate with and helpful with advice. We were so lucky to have found this house and people! Thank you all for a wonderful vacation!

This was a great location. It was only about a 10 minute walk from the gulf and the city of Playa del Carmen, but at the same time it was a quiet retreat from the action. Not having to drive to the water and town was a real plus. The house is a lovely location and easily accommodated a party of six plus three other family members who were staying nearby but visited frequently. The kids loved the pool and never wanted to leave and parents appreciated being able to supervise from inside the house. Pictures do not (perhaps they cannot) do justice to the quality of this property. Probably the most important part of this rental is the exceptional quality of management. Tom, the owner, made booking easy and kept us informed about important updates (such as COVID info) prior to our arrival. Furthermore, Ruben the local manager in Playcar responded quickly to all requests. He can truly take care of anything. We have stayed an many properties and have never had better hosts. So, don't hesitate to book this exceptional home!

Three of us stayed here for an extended vacation for 10 days and we had a great time. The house is large, the kitchen and dining area is nice and open. The kitchen is fully stocked which is great if you plan to get groceries and do some cooking. The pool is very large and a lot of fun was had in it. The temperature was a little cold when we first got there as the overnight dipped to 16 degrees C but a few sunny days at 27-30 degrees C warmed it nicely and it was very refreshing. We enjoyed the deck off the master to have dinner on warm evenings. We felt very safe in the house and liked that the yard is fenced up. We strongly recommend Laura and Luca for coffee and breakfast. We had one dinner at Casa Sofia and all really enjoyed the food And the Tx Gastro bar was also very good. All three locations were very affordable. All three are just outside the playacar gate and are a 5-10 minute walk. Within playacar we very safe. We enjoyed the bikes to ride around the community and also really enjoyed playacar beach which was a 10-15 minute walk. Once there you can walk south down the beach for an hour or so if you’d like to enjoy the sun and peak at some beautiful houses and variety of resorts. The location was good being so close to everything. We were able to walk to Walmart in Playa SEL Carmen for groceries and it took about 20-25 minutes. Also the tourist strip can be reached by walking for about 15-20 minutes. Tom was quick to respond and good to deal with. Ruben and Tere were great and they checked in multiple times to ensure everything was going well and immediately fixed any issues that arose. They were very nice and sweet and a huge asset to have to help this property. The pool was cleaned almost daily and the house once a week while we were there. Our only “complaints” if you want to call it that is we found the beds very hard and we wish there were more loungers and more seating area on sunny side of the pool without sitting in the grass (possibly a wood section between the cement and fence). Unless you are a large group who all like to spend all day lounging in the sun by the pool you will be very happy. The price was very affordable for the size of house, size of pool all to yourself and great location. And if you truly want the sun from 8am to 5pm you can go to the close beach and suntan there all day long.

The location was ideal for our needs because we wanted a place close to everything but in a quiet spot. The rooms and spaciousness in the villa were excellent. The house was ideally located for us, very close to town and beach. The support from the owner (before getting there) and Ruben (while there) were very good.

This house is amazing. The pool is huge. Kitchen is Big. The house was super clean. I was a little nervous about the use of the electricity. If you use common sense don't run A/C with doors or windows you will not have a problem. During the day I would open all the screen windows and back doors to let fresh air inside. I used the A/C mostly at night when cooking and sleeping. The caretakers of the house Ruben and his wife are great people. Very Friendly and Professional and will take care of any of your needs. I will definitely be booking this house again next year. The beach in Play a Del Carmen and 5th ave is withing easy walking distance. This house is great for just 2 people or a huge family. Once again the pool was amazing.

We are an extended family of eight (six adults and two small children) who spent five days at Casa Kristyna and absolutely loved it! The house is open and airy, and very tastefully decorated. There is a large, fully appointed kitchen - we did a fair amount of cooking at home. The pool is larger than it appears in the photos, with both a deep and shallow end, which was perfect for the kids - they never wanted to leave the pool! The house is in a gated, golf course community so it’s quiet and feels very safe. There are several restaurants (including an adorable coffee shop) within easy walking distance, and the beach and southern end of 5th Avenue is a short (10-15 minute) walk away. We found this house and location to be perfect for a family, as we were able to spend lots of time hanging out there - cooking at home, playing in the pool during the day, and playing board games or watching movies at night. It might be a little too far from the “action” for those looking to enjoy the party scene, but it is ideal for families or groups who want to stay in a quiet area. Tom (the owner) and Ruben (the property manager) were very responsive in providing information and answering our questions. Overall, the house exceeded our expectations and we had a great stay! Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 12 day stay at this property! From the moment you enter, you are wowed with all the Mexican art that Tom and Karen have collected and grace every room of the house. The pictures are really good representation of the house and the golf course location is awesome! You are a close walk to the amazing beach, the action of town as well as a quick ride (or walk) in the other direction to get groceries. It is amazing how quiet the property is considering proximity to town. We love to cook and appreciated the wonderful kitchen as well as Tom accommodating our request for making a BBQ available to use. The kitchen is well appointed for cooking and has lots of glasses and dishes for both poolside (plastic) and indoor dining. We picked up a few extra items to augment our culinary needs but like I said we like to cook! We found that the dishwasher worked best on the quick rinse cycle even to do full loads of dishes. We actually ate out 2 nights and enjoyed Casa Sophia (great food and great value) as well as the Greek Estia next door (note cash only). The kitchen/dining/living room area is a great space as it is lovely, open, with lots of seating both at counter bar as well as the dining room table. We really only used the living room to watch the Superbowl (in Spanish :)) or for reading as we were always congregating around the cocktail and food prep counter. There are multiple fans to provide air movement if you are cooking and hanging out. When you first walk into town on 10th (by the roundabout Playacar gate) there is a spa called Kristina and either Lupita or Oscar are the best massage therapists. If you show Tom's Playacar ownership card you can get a great deal. We met both Ruben (upon arrival and to look after a sink issue) and Terri (to deliver water with their son) and they are lovely, accommodating and a wealth of information if you have any questions. They recently added bicycles for use at the property and we loved that feature and used them daily! Either for just a ride to tour through the development, our daily ice replen jaunts to Oxxo, or with knapsacks to pick up groceries at Chedrai or Sam's Club. Note that the pool takes up the full back yard and lots of toys and floaties to use - a family with a group of kids would be in heaven! We spent our days at the beach (beach chairs provided) and used the pool for morning and evening dips. A great property to rent!

My wife and I, along with 3 other couples, spent a week at Casa De Kristina during New Years. The home was even better than pictured. The living room, dinning room and Kitchen all blend together into one great space for large groups to relax and hang out. Besides the fabulous master suite, the three other bedroom are all lovely. The furniture and finishes at the house are all first rate. We stayed during the winter, so the pool was a bit chilly, but in the summer the pool would be an amazing relief and luxury. As for location, the house is just 10 minute walk to a low key beautiful beach. And, just a 15 minute walk to the hustle and bustle of 5th Ave. Very short drive to huge grocery stores and anything else you might need. Tom, Terri, and Ruben care deeply about their guest. They took great care of us and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay at Casa De Kristina. Even with 8 people in the house, everyone had a fantastic time and can't wait to come back.

We loved the pool and open living. Lots of space for the family as well. Make sure you find the path to the beach across from the tennis courts. It will save you 5-10 minutes on your walk to the fun!

We just got back from vacation from this wonderful and beautiful home! It is within walking distance to 5th ave. and a quick walk via a community path to the beach. It is conveniently located close to the Reef Hotel which comes in handy should you want to take advantage of using their beaches and pools for a day.catch a taxi, or get any other local information! The home has everything you need and then some for an extended stay and both the management person (Ruben)and owners were more than accommodating in answering questions and meeting our needs. The home is exactly as described and I would highly recommend it to anyone! There is a beautiful pool out the back door perfect for ending every day! The gourmet kitchen makes cooking a breeze! Take a taxi to Chedraui grocery store for all of your food and beverage needs for the week and you will be set! Thanks to Tom for sharing your beautiful home and Ruben and his wife for attending to our every need!
