Situated in Lake Lanier, this lovely house for $572 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. If you need more space for your group, I have another lakehouse just as comfortable and enjoyable a few houses down, VRBO #872710 You have found the perfect lakehouse cabin on Lake Lanier and the North Georgia Mountains - only 45 miles from downtown Atlanta, 5 minutes to shopping, dining, golfing, 20 minutes to wineries, more shopping, hiking and other activities. Lake Lanier Getaway is well-equipped for remote working & remote schooling. The fast cable internet with break-time lake activities, remote work and school are a perfect life experience. Whether you love to shop, canoe, kayak, fish, paddle board, explore the North GA Mountain waterfalls, wineries, hiking & biking trails, or just relax, this beautiful mountain lakehouse cabin is designed for a perfect vacation, work spot or any get-together on Lake Lanier in the North Georgia Mountains. Local marinas for renting boats during warm seasons or a bundled up adventure, are an added bonus. Gainesville Marina is 20 minutes by boat and car. Port Royale, Aqualand, Holiday, and Bald Ridge Marinas are also nice options about 30 minutes by boat & car. You can also bring your own boat and fill up as needed at Athens Boat Club, 7 minutes by boat. My 2-story home is nestled in a lush, wooded hillside. The 2-story dock is in plenty of water, with room to tie up boats & jet skis, as well as room to play in the water with my water toys and sturdy ladder to help you out of the water. I feel like the water is fresher and cleaner up here, further north due to the Chestatee River flowing through just seconds away. My lakehouse cabin is well-appointed with 2 floors providing privacy for everyone. The layout consists of 2 queen bedrooms with a bath on the upper floor, master king bedroom with attached bath on the lower level, additional bedroom on lower level with 2 sets of bunk beds (4 beds total). The main floor also includes the kitchen with granite countertops, dining area with kitchen table, large, open family room with wood burning fireplace. The lower level includes a laundry room and outside access to a comfortable screened-in porch and beautiful views of the lake. My Lake Lanier Getaway has a large screened-in porch, upper deck with patio table sets, a grill area and several intimate outside seating areas. The 3 minute walk down to the lake is a flight of stairs through a lush selection of Mountain Laurel, Rhododendron and Azalea as well as a cute resting bench 1/2way down and then on to my 2-story dock at the end of the trail. From the deck at my lakehouse you can sit and enjoy the lake views as well as the water activities at the dock. My dock is situated in 'deep' water. If you love to fish, you will delight in all the bait fish you can catch right off the dock. If water sports are your thing, you will be pleased with how many toys I have around the dock. My outside areas provide plenty of places to dine, entertain, romp in the woods or just sit back and watch the lake. Lake Lanier Getaway - Chestatee features 5 flat screen tv's throughout the house, cards/board games and magazines, wireless access, and a washer/dryer for your use. Lake Lanier Getaway is perfect for families, friends, corporate retreats, business trips, girls' and/or guys' weekends, wedding events, or individual/couple's getaways. Located 1 mile to Nix Bridge public boat ramp & park, 3 miles to Toto Creek public boat ramp & park, 5 miles to North Georgia Premium Outlets, dining or beautiful Chestatee golf course, you will be in a private escape surrounded by all the fun. Wineries, golfing, tubing, waterfalls and hiking are all within 20 minutes, north on GA400. Dahlonega, w/ great shopping & dining, are14 miles. Alpine Helen, Cleveland and Brasstown Bald are within 20-35 miles. Had the best time. Cabin was all we’d hoped for and more. Wendy went above and beyond to make sure we had all we needed for family of 8 and our puppies too! Stocked all the way down to paper goods and shampoo! She truly thought of everything and the views from the deck were amazing! She even allowed us to use her water toys! She truly is the hostess with the mostest!

Property manager is very nice. We came down for a weekend trip to visit family. It can easily fit 3 couples and 4 kids if needed. Dock is beautiful and there is a fire pit in the back. Driveway is a little tight but you can park in front of the house. Overall great property and we would love to come back.

This was our second time with Wendy as a host, different home and the photos do not capture the full beauty of the property. The view of the lake from the house is perfect, and the private dock is about as good as it gets. The floor plan is open, and to to say the place is tastefully decorated is an understatement. It really feels like a home. Wendy is such a kind and wonderful host. We will definitely be coming back.

My husband and I took my 15-year-old daughter and a few of her friends to the lake for her birthday. We had a wonderful time. This house is amazing it has everything you’ve ever need at the dock, a well stocked kitchen, was very clean and very comfortable. I highly recommend!

Wendy was extermely accommodating to all our needs and the house is set up for all weather situations luckily ours was sunny and warm! Paddleboards and kayaks. We also saw deer walking down the street!!

Super clean and fresh, very spacious and accommodating, super comfortable beds. The double decker dock was so much fun, the kids enjoyed the floaties and the kayaks, and of course jumping into the water from the top. We would love to stay here again. Highly recommended.

Had family in town and rented so we would have enough space for everyone. Enjoyed the dock and brought our boat to keep there while we stayed. The house was a good layout for us because my niece with young children stayed in the downstairs bedroom that is right next to the room with four bun beds. Also a bathroom attached to that downstairs bedroom accessible also from the bunk room. Wendy responds very quickly with any questions we had. Had a great stay!

My husband and I were looking in the area for houses and stayed while our home was having open houses. It was a wonderful experience. The house was comfortable, clean, very cute and had a wonderful view and peaceful setting on the lake. It was cool enough to open the windows at night and listen to the whippoorwills sing us to sleep.
Wendy was wonderful and very accommodating and prompt with all correspondence. I would highly recommend this location for a fun, easy getaway to the lake.

We enjoyed our stop at Lake Lanier and we were overall impressed by the property. The owner was very easy to communicate with, and as promised, everything we needed was provided at the VRBO. The treetop view was so peaceful that we found ourselves just relaxing on the upper deck for most of our stay. FYI: the hike down to the dock isn't too bad, but climbing back up the 98 stairs could be taxing for some!

Our stay was wonderful. Exactly as described in listing. Something for everyone, from the 2 year old to Papa. Plenty of games to keep everyone happy when it rained. Proximity to grocery shopping was great. We saw some waterfalls within easy driving distance. Found a terrific indoor arcade/go-kart place in Helen for the rainy day.

A nice homey property with a good lake view. The path to the lake is a bit steep and can be slippery when wet, and since we had a good bit of misty rain during our stay, we didn’t make many trips down to the dock. The area is nice and quiet. The house is comfortable for a couple and would be nice for a family. While it can easily sleep 10, the living area might be a little tight for that many people if you are planning to spend much time inside. There is plenty of outdoor living area on the deck and screened porch.

This home is on the lake with a path down to the lake from the house. It's well kept, very cute and very clean. The host is awesome and we would stay here again. The BBQ grilling on the deck at night is perfect. Thank you Wendy for being such an awesome host. My family appreciates it especially with our event this week.

A very cozy home decorated for the holidays with many amenities. It had all the essentials needed for our stay. Plenty of room and having televisions in each room was a definite plus. Kids got to watch what they wanted. Wendy was the sweetest, she was quick to respond and answered all my questions and concerns. The home is close to town, with many stores and restaurants. I hope to be back soon.

The cabin was very clean and every bed was comfortable, even the bunk beds! The hosts were very nice and helpful! It’s a retry good hike to the boat dock, but worth it when you get down there. Just don’t forget your fishing pole or anything up at the house! Lol! He house was very clean and we enjoyed the fire pit and also the screened in porch. There are plenty of board games to choose from and we enjoyed playing them on the porch. It was a great stay! We came for a Pastors Conference at Christ Fellowship Church in Dawsonville and it was only a 10 minute drive! Restaurants and the Outlet Mall is very close! We will be coming to stay here again!

The house was very cute and accommodated our needs well. Overall the house was clean when we arrived but there were areas with crumbs and dirt left behind. The dock area was very nice and the walk was as described in the listing. There are a few steps in need of repair at some point but functional as long as you pay attention. The hosts were very prompt in replying to questions and the check in process was very smooth. My only negative is not related to the house or hosts but rather the neighborhood. There was a house which allowed there dog to bark loudly and constantly for long periods of time. It was disruptive as sound echoes on the lake. We were gone for long periods of time each day but if we were at the house all day long it would have been something we would have had to contact someone on. Overall a lovely stay and was exactly what we needed.

We rented this and had our grandkids and daughter and husband with us from TX for a wedding event stay. It was quiet and we had plenty of room and felt like we were in a treehouse with all the trees around. We enjoyed the house and location to other family in the area. Would rent again for sure!

My family and I enjoyed our stay. Loved having access to the water, kayaks, canoe, etc. Peaceful. Felt like we were in a tree fort as the elevation of the home on the hillside allowed us to sit on the outside deck amongst the tree tops. Groceries, restaurants and plenty of outdoor activities close by. Overall, great spot and great vacation.

This is a fantastic property and Tom/Wendy are excellent hosts!! The cabin is right by the lake, loaded with tons of amenities and the check-in process is a breeze. Wendy was extremely quick to respond to my questions before booking & ensure peace of mind about the whole thing. Highly recommend this one if you want a quiet getaway! We'll making another visit this summer or fall for sure....

This was a nice, family lake house and was as described in the listing. On the lake with beautiful view and location was very convenient to shopping mall and restaurants. Our family of seven enjoyed our Thanksgiving weekend here very much! Hosts were very kind and responsive when we had questions.

This property is immaculate and decorated so tastefully. Every little detail has been carefully considered down to the aromatherapy diffuser, coffee station and even family style games! The bed was so comfortable with a luxurious duvet. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need. The outdoor space is really where the magic happens-we even saw a turtle on the way to the dock! The absolute best part was drinking coffee in the hanging chair on the dock in the morning. This property is the amazing retreat we all needed and we can’t wait to stay here again!

The house was just as listed. The three bedrooms plus the bonus room with the bunk beds were perfect for our family. Everything was clean and worked well. We enjoyed making a fire in the fire pit and fishing off the dock and using the kayaks and canoe. We spent days hiking in the Georgia mountains but returned to the house early so we could enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. The host was so helpful to get YouTubeTV working so we could watch football. The kids loved the property too! There are a lot of stairs down to the dock, but they were well maintained and we all enjoyed getting down to the dock.
