Situated in Clearwater Beach, this charming house for $1,420 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Somerset Place beach rental is one of the few Florida beach house rentals that can accommodate large groups, including family reunions and very small weddings. With 10 bedrooms, 6 baths, 2 buildings, a private court yard with small pool and only 150 steps to the sand, this fun Florida beach rental is your affordable answer. While the property sleeps a maximum of 28 guests, we may allow guests to entertain up to 40 people by special permission only. There are additional rules and local noise ordinances that must be strictly observed. You must inquire at time of booking and additional fees apply. Just a short walk or trolley ride to the famous Pier 60 and the sunset celebrations every day of the year, weather permitting, this Florida beach rental property is located just north of all the action on a quiet side street. This 10-bedroom huge beach property is divided into two buildings. This huge Florida beach rental will sleep 27 adults using all the beds and offers a pack-n-play for baby to make room for 28 total. The front house has 7 bedrooms. There are two family suites which includes 4 of the 7 bedrooms in the front building. This means you walk through a queen room to get to a room with 2 twins and a trundle. The suites have doors that close between the rooms for privacy. Families can use these suites to keep small children safely near parents in the room with the twin beds. The interior rooms do not have a door leading outside. Additionally, the front building offers 3 private separate queen rooms. And finally, the front building of this huge beach rental offers a sleeper sofa in the living room. The back house features 2 private rooms with queen beds and the third room has 2 twins with a trundle. The living room in the back house also has a sleeper sofa. (Please note that 3 of the twin beds are trundles that pop up from under one of the twin beds. There are two trundles in the front house and one in the back.) Each of the buildings has a full kitchen, dining room and family room. The buildings are separated by a private courtyard with a pool. The courtyard is filled with tables and chairs, creating the perfect setting for a family hangout. The city also offers well maintained tennis courts, basketball courts, boat ramp, public docks and a municipal building that can be rented for gatherings. Bring your boat; we are within a walking distance from the public boat ramp. There are almost no other Florida beach house rentals as large and this close to the sand as this fun property. If approved you may rent just one house and have access to the courtyard and private pool. We only allow separating the two homes if it is within a few weeks of your check in date. Please ask for more info. We have several properties surrounding Somerset Place if you need to accommodate more than 28 people overnight. ADDITIONAL INFO AND DISCLOSURES: Gatherings are permitted at this property with prior authorization made at the time of booking and additional fee. Groups that do not inform BeachhouseFL of gatherings in advance will be asked to leave without refund. Excessive noise after 10 pm is not allowed as it is located in a residential neighborhood. We do not supply anything that is taken off the property including any coolers, floats, beach towels, chairs, etc. March and April, June, July and some other holiday times are minimum 7 nights and typically are Saturday to Saturday. Age minimums do apply and there is a significant cash security damage deposit for groups under 25 years old. Pets are possibly allowed but must be disclosed and there is a pet fee. This budget-friendly property is great for large groups to share a close space together for a nice beach vacation. but don't expect anything luxurious or rich with amenities.
Host communication requires initiative and proactiveness from the guest, and may be slow. The kitchenware is plentiful but disorganized and I found a few pans that probably should have been cleaned better.
The general state of the property is solid and most everything worked fine... but you'll find plenty of things that are worn, used, or should be replaced. Again, the value here is fair in my opinion since there's not a huge maintenance budget to work with.
There were other similar rentals along FL Gulf Coast that are at least 1.5x the price
The #1 problem for me was the fact that the VRBO listing says "Wheelchair-accessible". This was a very important factor and I would not have booked at all if the listing more accurately described the accessibility conditions. In my opinion this MUST be removed from the listing as there is simply no way someone in an actual wheelchair would have a comfortable stay here.
All of the doorways are too narrow for most wheelchairs so be sure to get precise measurements if you need it.
I should have pressed for more details but I was told over the phone that there were "walk-in showers" but all bathrooms have tubs or step-in showers. The host did cover extra accessibility equipment that arrived on the 2nd night of our stay so that was appreciated.

We stayed in the home for three nights and had no communication whatsoever from the management. There were several safety concerns (broken glass, open windows that would not close, loose exterior door knobs) and issues that were not even acknowledged.

Home could use some updating but the location is excellent. It worked for our large group. It was nice to be able to walk across the road to the beach. Great area and looking forward to visiting Clearwater again

Our booking canceled after reaching the city. It was confirmed when we booked. We totally 21 people with old people, small kids struggled lot in new place.. we have no option and no proper help.. just holding in customer care for almost 2 hour but didn’t get the place similar like what we booked. So we booked ourself and travelled to other city for vacational rentals.. lot of miscommunication and they provided fake promises. Very worst experiences.. they are not doing trustable business.

We had 22 fam members that stayed and overall were comfortable and had a wonderful time. I wouldn’t recommend more than that unless you want to use pull out couches. Location awesome, prop mgt co very efficient and accommodating! The house had a few broken items (which I sent pics of to prop mgt co) and could use some fixing up. The exterior of the house could definitely use some cleaning up due to items that were broken and trash in the yard that could be tossed. Loved the double W/D, clothesline and nicely stocked kitchen cooking items. A/C, tvs, internet worked great. Thank you for the amazing family time we had at Somerset!

Spent 6 nights, paid over $13k, home was missing some basic amenities, many things were broken....1. Refrigerator didn’t work upon arrival, we’re told it would take a while to cool down, took advice and our food was all warm the next morning, lost $400 of groceries. New fridge came on day 3.2. No hot water in main house for the first 24 hours. 3. Window broken in the bathroom with a hole filled with toilet paper, told property management about it, nothing done. 4. Cabinet was broken over the sink, never fixed. 5. Shower curtains were moldy, never replaced. 6. Old pizza boxes left under the bed in main home when we arrived, so it left us wondering how the rest of the place was cleaned. 7. Patio tables in back were rusted/pitted. Had to keep kids away from them so we wouldn’t have to run for a nice tetanus shot on vacation. I spent a good deal of my vacation as the de facto property manager. Asked for some sort of credit back due to my experience and was ignored much the same way they ignore upkeep on this home. Great location though.

It was very cold in Florida upon our arrival and the heat was not working in one of the houses. We reached out regarding the issue and space heaters were provided until repair on the unit could be done. The repairman arrived very late in the evening and upon working on the unit sparks were flying from the vents and the house filled with smoke causing smoke alarms to go off for quite some time. All was well after a couple hours of airing out the unit. Heat was on and no issues after the first night. Both homes on the property could use some updating and basic repairs. Overall, the size was perfect for our big family...especially nice that the teen boys all had a separate house. The location was within walking distance of shops and restaurants and a very short walk to the beach.

Filthy home, filthy yard, broken kitchen sink, inoperable tv’s, air conditioning not working in part of the home, broken closet doors, floors left our feet black, gross spots on the ceilings from leakage, dog poop on the patio in the yard, lights in bedrooms didn’t work, pool full of sand, internet connection is not good. One of the most disgusting places I have ever stayed! Way too expensive for a broken down property that is in need of some desperate repairs.

This house needs ALOT of updating. Maybe 3 of the 10 tvs work. BIL said the handle on his toilet was broke. But house is in great location with short/easy walk to the quiet part of the beach. Lots to do in walking distance of the house. Plenty of beds for a large group. Didn’t call maintenance because we weren’t to worried about the issues but for the money we will stay somewhere nicer next time.

We rented the property because it seemed perfect for our large family of 21 people. To say the property sleeps 28 is accurate but not the whole story. These houses aren’t very big and do not have enough storage, closets, or extra bonus spaces. The rooms are so small the trundles are almost useless. In addition, the house was "cleaned" but still dirty. There is dirt/dust built up in corners, broken windows, grime on the keypads, filthy door knobs, etc. I had to go buy Clorox bleach cleaner to re-clean the common areas. I think they need to pay for a serious deep clean and invest in some property updates, including better mattresses and new windows. The patio area is very cluttered and would be nicer with a cosmetic upgrade and some umbrellas. The Pool is small but we were very close to the beach. The proximity to a nice quite spot on the beach is perfect and Pier 60 is very close if you want more action.Besides the cable not working, we didn’t have any issues until the very last day when we got locked out of the smaller house. The maintenance company was responsive and we had no issues with the customer service.I really hope that this property gets the updates it deserves and the people, like me, who’ve paid thousands of dollars for a week will be invited back and offered a discount. Renters deserve the updates without a cost increase, the house is too expensive as is for its current condition.

This property was clean, the location was great and overall this place was decent. The condition of this property I was somewhat dissatisfied with, the air worked decently, only a few of the tvs worked luckily we didnt really watch much tv and I do not think this location can hold the amount of people it says. We had 18 and were squeezed, everyone had a bedroom but as far as living room and kitchen space there wasnt any. Also the outside space really needs to be cleaned up, we brought corn hole, hoping we would be able to play it but there were about 8-10 tables just sitting in the outside space where we could all fit and hang out. Overall if you had a smaller group this place might be great but I definitely think this place needs some TLC.

It could be a great property ...
We enjoyed our time in Clearwater very much and the house allowed us to be all together and that was the important thing. The house was mostly clean. We had some trash after pulling out a trundle bed that we cleaned up easily. There was a big pee stain on one of the mattresses. We just didn't use that bed. There were small holes in some of the windows. One of the fans didn't work well and I thought they were going to send repairman out to fix, but that didn't happen. They asked us to check everything out upon our arrival and we ended up with quite a list that was forwarded to them with pictures as well. With the amount of money, we paid for this house, it seems like these repairs should not be an issue.
However, we were all together and we decided we were going to enjoy ourselves no matter what. We weren't really there for the house; we were there for each other so for us this trip was a success, and we did appreciate having a secure place to rest after a day of play.

It was a wonderful experience. I texted the agent several times with pictures of things that had to be fixed. She always responded quickly. Cable was not working in ANY TV. Leak under kitchen sink. Dryer stopped drying on last day, but we had a MEMORABLE family get-together.Pool was great! Close to beach!

The property was in a convenient location, very close to the beach. We had a nice stay, but we were disappointed in the general upkeep of the houses: broken gates and windows, burned out light bulbs, broken closet door, key code didn't work ect. Also one of the houses had all if the dishes and cooking utensils and the other house had none. This was a pain for the guests in the other house as they needed to keep coming over to get whatever they needed to prepare meals. We also felt the pictures on line were slightly misleading as too size of place and pool. Both were smaller than they appeared.

The beach house was even better than we expected. It was very spacious, clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed. It was a perfect accommodated for all of our guests. We rented the beach house for my wedding that was actually right off of Somerset street on the beach so the location was perfect, literally only steps from the beach!! The house was a great place to return to after a long day at the beach and exploring the strip and the pool/Jacuzzi was a great added feature to relax after a long day!! We will definitely be returning soon and would recommended this beach house to all our friends and family.

The house was closer to the beach than we anticipated and the use of space was very impressive. It wasn't "high end" but we weren't looking for that. The pool was smaller than we though it was going to be but the kids loved it just fine and the management company heated it so well before we got there that we were able to use it the minute we got there in early January! We appreciated the parking for 7 cars and the grills. We had 8 adults and 11 kids, everyone had their own bed and we had 3 trundles left unused as well as 2 sofa beds unused. We would for sure come back again.

We celebrated our niece's wedding and combined it with a family reunion. All of the Evans' clan was there and we all had a GREAT time. The wedding reception was at Sheppards, just down the street from our villa, so we all car pooled there. The best part of the stay was we were all together in one place. There was more than enough room for everyone to have their own bedroom in the two buildings. We enjoyed the pool immensely and took several trips to the nearby beach. Our trip to Clearwater was amazing! The Somerset property we stayed at was very lovely with tons of amenities. The children loved he pool and their is tons of room for our 20 person group. The location was great - short walk to the beach, quiet neighborhood, Trolly stop on the corner, short walk to restaurants. The property management company was very professional and responded quickly the 4 times we called them with utility issues. For the price, we were expecting more. The property was lacking closets in 5 of the bedrooms, garbage disposal, ice maker, storage space in the kitchen, and basic kitchen items, although it does have a total of 3 refrigerators. The outside washer and dryer was a little quirky, but manageable.The weekly cleaners did a fine job; but the property was in serious need of a deep clean. The brick pavers around the pool were caving in, making the surface around the pool very uneven.The owners should consider adding shelving to the kitchen and baths, replacing the furniture in both living rooms, and replacing the delaminating doors. Our family of 11 adults and 7 grandkids did have a great time because we were together, but we will try another place next year.

The location is perfect just across from a perfect beach on northern edge away from downtown. The set up is fantastic for a large group with a lot of sleeping configurations. The courtyard is perfect for cmeals, games and too cool off in pool. Only recommendation is some cool lighting in courtyard for nightime to make for better nightime ambience. Overall, great set up and cant find a better location (unless oceanside)

This is our second time at this house and they have made quite a few nice improvements in the past 5 years....the best addition was the pool. We were very satisfied with our stay. The only negative is that they need to fix the gate to the property so it locks. The first night we had a home less person enter the back yard...not a good thing with little kids. It is a great location if you have a big group and want to be close to the beach and all that Clear Water has to offer. We would return.

Our daughter got married on Clearwater Beach and when I booked this house, I had no idea that it would be so close to the wedding location but we were able to walk to the wedding from the house. I was looking for a place that would accommodate everyone that was coming from Ohio and would be in the wedding party. We ended up with 23 people staying there and it was perfect for that amount of people, not crowded. Paul was very helpful. Anytime we had a problem or question he took care of it. Wish we could've stayed another day. It was a little hectic having to leave the day after the wedding by 10:00 with 23 people but the house was rented. Also, the two units worked out great as we had parents and step parents to deal with. We have a great time.
