Our home was professionally decorated and it's very comfortably furnished. The master bedroom suite offers a private retreat after a hard day at play. There's a whirlpool for two and a private bath and every window offers views of mountains, trees or Lake Superior. Lutsen's ski hills are just a mile up Ski Hill Road, you can see the ski runs from the master bedroom window. This is the best skiing in Midwest! Cross country ski, snowshoe or take dog sled and sleigh rides along Lake Superior at nearby Lutsen Resort. Miles of scenic snowmobile trails through Superior National Forest accessible directly from our home. Hundreds of miles of spectacular hiking trails criss cross the forests and mountains. Mountain biking and horseback riding are available at the top of the hill. Kids of all ages will love the Alpine Slide just up the road. Ride the new 8 passenger Gondola to the top of Moose Mountain and have lunch on the deck of the chalet, it's a spectacular view! Golfers, Superior National Golf course offers 27 holes of beautiful scenery and challenging golf right across Ski Hill Road. Bikers, the newest section of the Gitchi-Gami State trail is just a 1/4 of a mile down Ski Hill Road. Enjoy a smooth ride along the lake, over the waterfalls in Temperance River Park and all the way to Cross River. Walk to the North Shore WInery across Lodge Lane. Set in Superior National Forest with no buildings behind it, just lots of trees, Lake Superior is in view too. Fabulous 3 season porch. There's a private fire ring to gather around for evenings under the stars and let me tell you, they are spectacular here. It's the ideal vacation home for families and friends. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Jo and Bob's property. Always clean, welcoming, and has everything we need. Instructions are clear and perfect space for playing games. Location can't be beat for skiing and adventuring to the cidery/winery

Jo was a great hostess and the property was great. Weather caused some travel difficulties for us and communications with Jo were perfect, she was able to allow some flexibility in check-in to help our trip be successful which was unexpected and hugely appreciated. We'll seek out this and other priorities of theirs in future Northern Minnesota adventures. Property at Lutsen was in very good shape and in an awesome location just a few minutes from the ski hill and across the road from the winery which made for a fun visit as well.

We loved staying at this cabin. However, it could've been cleaner and the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen are so unorganized and messy that we had to dig around to find things we needed. Also, the kitchen towels and washcloths smell like mildew, and the potholders are dirty and grimey. The kitchen garbage can needs to be washed out too. Some curtains or blinds to cover the glass on the front and back doors would be nice.
All in all, this cabin was very cozy, and we enjoyed our selves. But...I think the cleaning company needs to clean a lot better than they are!

My sister and I, along with her 3 little ones make an annual trip to the north shore and this year we booked this wonderful home. Without a doubt, this was the best place we have stayed in our many years visiting! The location is perfect for heading anywhere along the north shore and it is literally STEPS from a winery! The house itself is both spacious and cozy! The back porches are so great - if the bugs are bad you can enjoy the screened porch, or sit on the open one and enjoy coffee in the morning. The kitchen has everything you will need for cooking (excluding food and spices obviously;)). Jo was extremely clear in communications and check in and out was simple. I hope this place becomes our regular spot for years to come!

Having stayed in this unit with friends for a ski getaway I was confident we would enjoy our summer get away as well. It was so nice to have our kayaks and trailer locked up in the garage when not in use so the empty garage was a huge plus. The cabin amenities were great, wi-fi was flawless for getting work done before heading out for the day, overall we were very happy and would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

We loved our stay! Very clean, all the amenities that make it feel like home, and good communication prior to our stay. Lots of family friendly games and my kids enjoyed the dinosaur DVD. Most of all, we enjoyed being close to nearby hiking trails, waterfalls, and the lake. Cascade Restaurant was delicious.

Jo was very good at correspondence and answering any questions. She has meticulous and detailed instructions for having a comfortable, care-free stay at the cabin. The kitchen is very well-stocked for any of your cooking needs. There are lots of extra linens and blankets and the cabin is very clean. I would definitely stay here again.

This home provided great accommodations for our 6 adult family and one toddler, offering plenty of space to spread out. The location was also situated close to fun destinations like the Lutsen Resort, Grand Marais, and other State Parks along the North Shore.

Management at the property was accurate and precise in their details and very accommodating. Property is secluded but near several attractions and places of interest. Family of 4 plus 2 grandparents the cabin was just the right size. We had a really nice stay.

Spent the weekend snowboarding and the house is very close, just at the bottom of the ski hill. We got lucky and had great weather and everyone had a great time on the slopes. Cabin worked perfectly for our family and was just as described. We accidentally left behind a piece of ski equipment and Jo was great at communicating and able to get it returned! Thanks for the great stay and hospitality!

We stayed at this wonderful 3 bedroom cabin for a long weekend to see some fall foliage. It was just a short drive for groceries, the gondola, and restaurants. Even better, you couldn't have a closer walk to North Shore Winery than this very cabin! Nicely decorated and convenient for the 5 of us. Thank you for the memories!

This was our first time to the area and Jo was absolutely great. She was so helpful in answering our questions and providing us with different things to do in the area. The cabin was perfect for our family we felt right at home. We would highly recommend this property. It is our hope too come back again soon.

We enjoyed the convenience of the location as it was centrally located for all the activities we planned on doing, not to mention right next to the beautiful Lake Superior. Lovin' It in Lutsen
Jo's home is cozy, comfortable, and workable for large family. The screen porch and deck allowed kids and adults to be outside, yet protected from the weather and bugs. The location was convenient to North Shore activities, yet accessible and private. Our only complaint was that our time was too short. Hoping we can remedy that in the future!
