Located in Pawleys Island, this charming house for $607 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Located on the coveted south end of the island, Sunset Lodge offers ocean front views and a private creek dock just steps away from the front door for crabbing and fishing. This oceanfront four bedroom has both ocean and creek side screened porches providing wonderful views. The interior split floor plan provides two bedrooms and one bath on either side of the open living, dining, and kitchen area. One bedroom offers two queen beds and shares a bathroom with a bedroom featuring two bunk beds. The other two bedrooms each have one queen and share a bathroom. Additional amenities include wifi, cable TV, coffee pot and keurig, dishwasher, washer/dryer, ceiling fans throughout the home, screened in porches on both creek side and ocean side, outside hot/cold shower, hammock underneath the house along with paved parking and private floating dock. Maximum occupancy: 12 No smoking. No pets. Weekly rentals ONLY during the summer months Nightly and monthly rentals available in the shoulder season **Please be aware of golf cart regulations on the Island**

Sunset Lodge is beautifully situated on the south end. We spent all our time on both screened porches, ocean side and creek side, enjoying the gorgeous views. The house was clean and comfortable. We switched from another realty company and found the Tidelife staff to be kind and very helpful.

We, my husband and I, had a wonderful two weeks on Pawleys Island. We were joined for part by two of our children and their spouses and also three little grandchildren. Everyone relaxed and enjoyed the peace and beauty of the place.

We had a nice two weeks at Sunset Lodge. The cottage is in a great location, about 10 houses down from the south end of the developed part of the island. There is another ¼ to ½ mile of beautiful, undeveloped beach on the south end. The views from both the east and west (front and back) sides of the cottage are gorgeous—the ocean to the east and the creek to the west. There are screened in porches with dining tables on both sides. There is a nice dock on the creek, plus a small beach that makes it easy for launching a kayak.
The living area of the cottage is very comfortable, plus there is a nice big dining table for doing large jigsaw puzzles (with room left over for eating, if needed). The kitchen is well equipped—although it could benefit from a new skillet. The beds are also very comfortable.
There were just the two of us staying there. The cottage could fairly easily accommodate another couple; but it would be pretty cozy with more people staying, despite the four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms (each with a single sink). Also, there are closets in only two of the bedrooms, and neither of them has much space for hanging clothes, as they are used for storage of odds and ends (Christmas decorations, an extra lamp, an empty box for the coffee maker, etc.). There are only three comfortable (i.e., with cushions) rocking chairs in the screened-in porch that faces the ocean—plenty for just the two of us, but obviously not enough if more than one couple wants to sit on the porch at the same time. The furniture on the outdoor decks (front and back) is a hodgepodge of old and worn wooden and plastic chairs. (One of the plastic chairs actually has a broken slat and should probably be removed.)
Please note that in some cases, the photos on VRBO are outdated—the porch no longer has the pictured wicker armchairs, nor the hammock. (The hammock is now located under the house, which seems an odd place for relaxing--no view or sea breeze, and near the air conditioning unit.) Also, the grill in the photos on VRBO is not normally provided, although when asked, TideLife did provide us with one. (Thanks!)
Many of these issues are things that could be easily fixed. in sum, we would rent Sunset again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Pawleys. Location was perfect for us. Peaceful and relaxing with stunning views. Beach has been built up with protective dunes that was not reflected in the current pictures of the house on the website. Overall great experience and would visit again.

This was the perfect beach home. We were steps from the beach and no large dunes or long trails to get there. You literally stepped off the porch and onto the beach. The community was so nice and we enjoyed the local restaurant’s especially Hogs Heaven. We would love to come back again and I definitely recommend this house if you have anyone in your family that loves the beach but can’t walk very far.

The staff is very nice, and are willing to flex a little ( I have to send my money in payments). But I DO send it as fast as I earn it. Really like Sunset Lodge, and so do my guests!

Perfect location. Fishing dock located where all the fish was biting. Clean home. Dishes could be upgraded or better organized. Love the stove. Back door knob was hard to twist and open. Other than that, it was a lovely cozy home. Will be back again.

Great location and great layout for the house with open living areas and views front and back. Great porches on both ocean and creek sides. New tables and chairs on porches are a very nice addition. Would love to have more rockers and a ceiling fan on ocean side porch. This is a great house but needs some cleaning out, decluttering and re-stocking. Closets need to be cleaned out so renters have room to hang clothes. Pots/pans, plates/bowls and kitchen utensils (and the drawers they are in), need to be cleaned out and re-stocked. Only 5 chairs to use around inside table for a house that sleeps 12.

This is a great house with a location that can’t be beat! With the ocean on one side and the creek on the other, our family had a great time spending time at both. The house was very clean and has a perfect layout for our family. The decks are also very large and great places to sit and look at the beautiful scenery.

Charging a mandatory beach equipment rental fee was ridiculous in winter. Asked for it to be deducted but were told that it was part of their agreement with VayK Gear regardless of the season.

The Sunset Lodge was perfect. Great views of both the Ocean and the marsh. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the decks. Had a Thanksgiving feast with 13 others on the back deck over looking the ocean. Only issue was the patio furniture and poor condition of it. Loved the kitchen and living quarters, will be back for sure.
