Nestled in Pawleys Island, this charming house for $557 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Slowen Down, located 50 yards from the beach, features spacious decks on both the front and back of the home and is perfect for vacations with family and friends. The screened in porch on the front of the house faces the ocean and features a swing, wicker sofa, picnic table and rocking chairs to allow for calm moments in the sea breeze. The back deck has a picnic table and is a great place to watch the sunset of Pawleys Creek. Two beach access points may be reached on foot in less than two minutes. There is ample space for parking below the house and in the back yard. Plenty of room for a boat which you can use at the public boat landing, just two blocks north. Featuring new flooring throughout, the interior of the house is organized around a central gathering space. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, ice-maker, microwave, and large family table. The living area offers plenty of sitting and has comfortable couches, chairs, and a large flat screen TV. Bedding accommodations include four bedrooms and two full bathrooms UPSTAIRS; one king, three queens, and one twin. Below the main level is a room with its own entrance and offers a toilet, sink and two twin beds. Additional amenities include WIFI, covered parking, charcoal grill, central AC, washer/dryer, high chair, roll away cot, iron & ironing board, coffee pot maker, and pack N play. Home comes with a $250.00 Beach Gear Credit when you rent 3 nights or more! No smoking. No pets. My family and I stayed a long weekend at the Owen cottage. Everything was clean and well supplied. We loved the spaciousness of the home so we all could spend quality time together as a family. The bedrooms were roomy and clean. Everything was spotless and well prepared for our arrival. The new flooring looked fantastic. The location cannot be beat in Pawleys. The beach was easy to access and just a short walk of 5 minutes. This is a great area to visit as a family away from some of the hustle and bustle of Myrtle. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to enjoy their excellent home. Finally, a warm thank you to the people at Tidelife. They were so helpful and kind to our family to ensure our stay was pleasant. We appreciate all of you. Thank you.

This is our 4th year renting Slowen Down for our two week family vacation. It's an awesome house in an awesome location. The only thing I would change is to have ceiling fans on the porch and an outside walled shower, "typical beach shower," under the house.

Slowen Down is an amazing home. Spacious with a casual yet tasteful elegance, this home had everything and more that our family was looking for. It is located in a perfect spot, right across the street from beach access. From the front door to the beach was a two minute walk. The downstairs room was great for my teenage son and the outdoor shower was awesome after a long day in the surf. Suzanne from Tide Life is our favorite person in the world when it comes to finding just what suits your needs. Dont pass up an opportunity to see this gorgeous home.

This home was a godsend to us. We were in town with 12 other family members for my daughters wedding. And it fit us to a tee. I baked all my daughters wedding sweets and decorated them. So much kitchen space. And anything that we didn't bring from home this house had. Perfect location. And the most comfortable beds after long days. We are already planning our next vacation and hope this place will be available.

- we shipped out golf clubs to their office and they delivered them to our rental house
-they arranged for beach gear rentals...again delivered to our house
-they arranged for groceries to be in the house when we arrived
-we had a late arrival and they keys were waiting in the late arrival box at their office.
-MOST IMPORTANTLY...when we asked for a late check out so we could clean up after our final round of golf and before our flight back to Philly, they said "Sure! stay as long as you need", which in essence, allowed for an additional day/round.
Slowen Down is perfect for four men to stay for golf. Four bedrooms on the main floor (wouldn't use the downstairs fifth as a bedroom...maybe storage?)..Each two bedrooms share a bathroom. Great Wifi, big porch for morning coffee overlooking the beach and huge great room to watch football after golf. Everything you need from kitchen ware to a brand new outdoor shower (HUGE!!!) is there for you to use.
We ate at Chive Blossom, Frank's, Bistro 217 and Caffe Piccolo. All four a little different, but great food. (Probably liked the vibe at Chive Blossom the best, as well as the outdoor seating at Caffe. Frank's is a little too big and busy for a Slowen Down experience.)
Golf at True Blue, Caledonia, Heritage and Pawley's Plantation. Great weather and great golf at all four courses.
We're coming back next year to try to duplicate the wonderful experience, but this will be hard to top!!

Pawley's Island is a great spot. The home is well appointed although keep in mind that the owners apparently use the property often so they have many personal items and things around the home. While it is conveniently right across the street from the path that leads to the beach the location can be a bit noisy. Lots of cars and worker trucks esp. on Saturday. Sunday morning was much more quiet.
Finally the lower level room with two twin beds and a semi-private bath might be perfect for two teenagers but no one in our family was up for the adventure of staying down there :-)
The property rental company was great and quick to respond. We'd definitely come back to Pawley's Island!

We really enjoyed our time at Slowen down. No bells and whistles, but none are necessary in this location. Steps from the beach which make it possible to come and go as you please. Sleep 12 with the 12th person on a cot. The 5th bedroom has a separate entrance which was fine for our group but may not work for a family.
