Nestled in Redondo Beach, this attractive cottage for $393 per night is a great option for your next trip. I have 3x delightfully restored beach cottages in South Redondo a block from the beach, located on the same grounds as both the other beach cottages (BBC1 & BBC2). The Burnham Beach Cottage(s) were built at the turn of the century originally as B&B's. We are a unique property so please feel free to email us with any questions or requests. Simply put……a B&B experience with the privacy & independence of a vacation rental…... *Nightly rate is based on 3 person accupancy. This 2 bedroom cottage comprises of a queen-size bed, 1 twin bed , living room with comfy queen-size sofa/futon bed, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, bathroom with clawfoot tub with shower~ take in the evening sunsets on your front porch. You will be provided with ironed bed linens, bath & beach towels, bath salts, cable TV, WiFi, iron & ironing-board. Enjoy the ocean & views within minutes from the cottage. Walk, stroll, jog or ride the coastline path that starts here in Redondo and goes all the way to Malibu; ...easily engage in surfing, swimming, volleyball, walking, running, skating, biking, hiking....there's heaps to do in these beach cities & the list continues....art/food/music festivals, outdoor movies in the parks/on the beach, international volleyball tournaments to watch, or if you would rather just relax in our gardens or on the beach and do nothing... you can do that too... A varied selection of restaurants/cafes are on hand. We are a quintessential SoCal beach town,close to LA without being in the hectic rush of LA. All is easily accessible by freeways, public transportation, sightseeing tours pick-up at local hotel. Enjoy LA in a beach oasis- it makes coming to LA quite a different experience... Everything about this rental met or exceeded expectations. Good for a couple and single (one queen and one twin bed). Host met us and took his time to show us what we needed to know. Easy walking distance to Redondo Pier, boardwalk and beach. Free street parking.

The cottage and the property are charming, and we were satisfied with the accommodations. Our only complaint is the location. The road is very busy, and there were frequently some sketchy people hanging around out front. One guy on consecutive days sat out front for a long time with his loud pick up truck idling while his music blasted. One of the days he dropped a large glass bottle and left very large pieces next to my car. I put them in the back of his truck after they walked away. We returned to the cottage a few times to find the gate had been opened. Otherwise, we enjoyed our time in Redondo and Hermosa.

Our stay exceeded our expectations! Location is excellent, cottage beautifully appointed, all needs & wants well covered, cottage is spotless & beds super comfy, kitchen well quipped~ communication from beginning to end A+, host amazing, gracious & so accommodating ~ this is our now new go to when back in LA area ~ absolutely the best experience has been had by all!

We stayed at Wendy’s cottage as our last stop on a west coast road trip. The cottage is small but perfect. Just enough room for my wife and 3 kids. Easy walk to the pier. Street parking at the cottage was never a problem. Wendy is a fantastic host. Thanks!

This was our last stop off a two week road trip and it was the perfect last place! One of the absolute cutest places I’ve ever been and Sandy is a great host! Beds were beyond comfy, a super close walk to the pier, a wonderful claw foot tub. My boys and I loved it!

What can we possibly say about Wendy? Do you want to rent a place from someone who is PASSIONATE about her home and Redondo Beach? There is nobody better. BEST rental on any platform by far and it’s not even close.

We stayed with our college age sons (2) over Xmas week, the cottage is really close to my family who lives locally. Wendy was very attentive during check-in and the whole stay. We used the kitchen, washer/dryer, bikes and grill. We walked to the farmer's market, walked to the Pier for happy hour drinks, and cruised the Strand on the bikes to LAX & PV. Owner lives next door so no loud parties or drama - just our style! Great location for the whole family!

I use VRBO frequently and have been lucky to always stay at nice places. This was our last stop on a 3 month retirement trip, so we are experienced travelers. We booked this cottage for 6 nights and left after the first night to stay somewhere else in the area. The cottage is very small and more suited for only 2 people. The second ‘bedroom’ only fits a twin bed against a drafty door and window, with no dresser or closet or room to keep a suitcase. Some windows don’t lock. The sheets were worn out with some stains. This may he a ‘historic’ cottage but that translates to old and tired in my opinion, maybe dinghy ad well. The LV is tiny and futon cover old and worn. Kitchen is tiny with old appliances. We like rustic beach cottages but this was not a well kept place. Owner was not willing to work with us on a partial refund, just kept saying the listing and pictures are accurate. Unfortunately, pictures can look much better than the actual place.

We rented 3 cottages for a weekend for our family to attend a wedding. The location was wonderful, easy access to Veteran's park (great playground), the marina and the strand. Our family enjoyed the close proximity to one another but also having separate spaces. The cottages are historic and charming. Wendy was an excellent host. We wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Wendy was an incredibly kind host, made us feel right at home. Happily prepared a travel crib and high chair for my infant and toddler. The cottage is very cute and in the perfect location for beach, parks, walks, restaurants- the Thursday morning Farmers Market was really fun! Thanks for a great time- we hope to be back!

First let me start off by saying that Wendy the owner is a lovely person! She greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the property. Happy and welcoming after a long day of travel is always appreciated. The property itself is beautiful and full of character. It is exactly what we think of when we when we hear Beach House. We thank you for the warm welcome opportunity to be able to stay there. We will be staying here every time we come to SoCal moving forward. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area. Thank you once again Wendy!

We were totally blown away by how fun and well designed this cottage was! Every little detail was so cute and fun, all the bedding was comfy, and it had everything we needed. Communication was fast and thorough too! Highly recommend, and hope to be back some time when we can spend more time here!

We had a friend and family reunion. We had everything we needed to entertain and accommodate. Wendy is friendly and fantastic hostess. Well located to beach. We went to a music festival nearby, and used Wendy's bikes one day and rented e bikes. Nearby Hermosa is nice too. Would definitely recommend and plan on returning! THANKS WENDY XOXO 😘 🤗 💕

The property was lovely and thoughtfully decorated to be soothing and relaxing. Wendy gave us great ideas on how to craft a fun relaxing stay. She recommended great places to eat, a bike ride and sites along the way. Our local friends especially appreciated her knowledge of town history. What a pleasure!

Location is a block from the pier entrance, the landscaping makes for perfect privacy, the house is a bungalow but designed and styled well to accommodate 5 people just fine! Wendy is the nicest host ever and will get you anything you she can to make your stay perfect. Equipped us with beach towels and even had them washed for reuse again for us. Quite literally the best place to call home for a few days in Redondo beach.

Love the location and we stayed mid-week and so it was very quiet and lots of parking. The house was very cute and fit the three of us perfectly. The coffee provided by Wendy was great! The sheets/blankets in the single bed room were a little worn and had feathers flying out. Luckily, I am not allergic to down! Other than that, a perfect beach cottage.

Charming small cottage, on historic registry, very quaint and a little quirky. Safe and clean, and only two blocks from Redondo Pier. Added feature was a flock of wild green parrots nearby!
