About this house rental

Located in State of Chihuahua, this attractive house for $159 per night is a great choice for your next trip. A newly-built guesthouse with the feel of the Old West. We are located far enough out of Alpine to give you a rural feel, but in reality being just minutes from downtown, this studio guesthouse gives you the best of both worlds. This is our guesthouse, and sits approximately 30 feet from our house. The patio shown is part of our house, and is therefore a shared space with the owners. However, we are very respectful of your privacy, and all of the facilities are yours to use during your stay. Sit out on the large covered porch and enjoy watching the quail and other wildlife, or visit with our own assortment of livestock. We are pet-friendly, and can even board horses for a small fee. After you have enjoyed your day, relax around a fire in the fire pit, or soak in the hot tub while watching the sky for shooting stars and satellites. If you feel like cooking outside, there is a gas grill available, or you can BBQ over the fire in the fire pit. Inside the guesthouse, you will experience the warmth of rustic and the comfort of modern from the custom-built cedar furniture and cabinetry to the knotty-pine vaulted ceiling, along with the wall of windows opening onto a fantastic view of Alpine against the mountains. The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator, sink, cook-top, and pantry. It is equipped with a microwave, toaster oven, automatic coffee-maker, toaster, and cooking utensils. The queen-size custom-built bed has plenty of storage space under it in case you want to stay awhile. There is also a couch that also serves as a twin XL bed, with the linens stored under the couch. The television is a 42-inch flat screen with satellite service. The guesthouse is climate-controlled with a whisper-quiet heating and cooling system. The modern, spacious bathroom includes a large walk-in shower, and a vanity with plenty of counter space. There is also a hair dryer, and an iron and ironing board. Had a great stay and found we had everything we needed in the room. The complimentary eggs were a huge plus as we didn't have much time to buy groceries on our trip. It made if very convenient to get up and go in the morning. Would definitely be willing to stay in the future.

This studio apartment was amazing! Immaculate. Everything you could possibly need, they had for you. A candy dish filled with chocolates. A dozen farm fresh eggs in the fridge. Everything you need in the kitchen to cook and then some. Even beach towels for the hot tub. We loved the animals too! I definitely stay here again!

We had the best time at this sweet spot! The views, all the beautiful animals greeting us and the lovely flowers in the garden were a treat for sure. The fresh eggs were a bonus we did not expect. If you come to Alpine, check this charming place out.....you won't be sorry!

Calm, serene, and spacious place and surroundings for one or two persons. My friend and I were staying overnight on our way to a photoshoot in Marfa. Fresh eggs and the awesome hosts even gave us a couple dozen to go! What a treat! My only complaint is that we only stayed one night. I will definitely be booking this beautiful peaceful place with breathtaking views again. If you're a writer, you will LOVE this place and the hosts.

It was very pleasant and quiet. It was located within 40 miles of where we wanted to go in all directions. The accommodations were set with fresh chicken eggs and clear directions for using all the electrical devices. It was close to Alpine so you could go to town if you needed anything. We traveled to Ft. Davis Observatory and Marfa from this location and it was nice. Will stay again if go that direction in future travels.

Wonderful home away from home. Literally hand crafted beautiful cedar interior. Lasting memory for us will be watching the goats, the horse, and the chickens. And then curtesy of the hosts, fresh eggs from those same chickens. We enjoyed everything!

This rental was just perfect for the two of us as we spent several days exploring this area. The outside scenery matches--and exceeds--the posted pictures. We could watch the animals through the windows and especially enjoyed watching the antics of two baby kids born the day we arrived. Attention to detail is evident throughout the rental and providing fresh farm eggs was a delightful treat.

This property is quite and secluded outside of town. The Ranch House had plenty of room, nice decorated and very clean. It had a nice sized refrigerator and a 2 burner stove top. There were fresh eggs! The owner was very nice and easy to communicate with. We will stay here again!!

The property was the perfect spot for me and my dog. I needed some time a way to work on a writing project and hike. Even though it was bitterly cold and so I didn't enjoy as much of the outdoor amenities as I would have liked it was a great stay. Clean, well stocked, safe area. Plus chickens and goats just outside your window. Delightful in every way.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay and can't rave enough about how special they made the experience. The rooms are beautiful and exactly as pictured...would love to hire the person who did their tile work! It's a small attention-to-details that made it truly memorable and why we will stay again in the future. Things like having fresh eggs in the refrigerator, condiments or ingredients for meal prep, extra linens, plenty of storage, lots of pots and pans and dishes. We never got a chance to use the hot tub or fireplace but we did get to feed the animals and I got to collect fresh eggs!!! For a city girl that was awesome. Thank you for a great stay.

We enjoyed the seclusion and privacy. Reasonably close to McDonald Observatory and close enough to Big Bend National Park. We would stay there again, if we returned to that area.

Middle of nowhere and middle of everywhere! Great location for Big Bend, Terlingua, Marfa and Fort Davis. Secluded just north of town. Very peaceful and beautiful. Even had fresh eggs from the chickens and geese outside our window! On-site owners respected our privacy but made sure all our needs were met.

My girlfriend and I attended the Star Party at the McDonald Observatory. It was a beautiful 30 min drive to the Vrbo. Lovely property with chickens, goats and a horse. Make sure to give Aggie the chunky orange cat lots of pets! Quick 30 min drive to Marfa too!

This is the smaller of 2 rentals on this property, just right for a couple or single. Hot tub right outside the door, plus goats, chickens, and other livestock to watch or visit with. Owners are very hospitable and responsive. Highly recommend!

The room was amazing and so was the host. When we go there it was just beautiful.....peaceful. You can view the mountains but the coolest part was watching a lighting storm roll in at night while sitting in the most amazing hot tub. Loving the stars at night so perfect. Recommend. Lisa and Steve were so accommodating. Took our two dogs! I loved the fresh eggs and Lisa's garden veggies. Loved feeding the goats, chickens and Thor, the horse. The only thing that could have improved our trip would have been no rain. Bittersweet as the area needed it so bad but we missed out on the beautiful night sky. Just have to go back...

EXACTLY as advertised. Reasonable driving distance to Big Bend National Park. Sparkling clean studio with everything we needed in the kitchen as well as nearby in town. Owners were extremely friendly, courteous, and professional. Beautiful yard that allowed our two Golden Retrievers to stretch their legs and play fetch. Best part, however is the goats, chickens, roosters, and horse that were our backyard neighbors. There is,one black goat that captured our hearts. She was totally enthralled with out pup’s ball. Definitely recommend this property. 5 stars….
