Located in Jamaica Beach, this attractive house for $910 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Welcome to ‘The Enchanted Pearl!!’ Come enjoy the sun, sand and sea in this OCEAN FRONT home in Jamaica Beach on Galveston Island! Just walk outside and you’re standing on the beach! All you can hear is the sound of the waves crashing into the shore! If you want to check in the same day you book your reservation, Vrbo requires us to approve this beforehand so please notify us and we will be happy to do so! We are located only minutes from Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn Water Park, the Pleasure Pier, Galveston State Park, the movie theater, the miniature golf course, the Airplane Museum and even NASA and the Kemah Boardwalk are close enough if you’d like to spend a day there! Marketing.Galveston.com shows a calendar of events. Jamaica Beach has a fairly new neighborhood pool for you to enjoy during your stay. Last year it was $5 per person to get in. They tell us they open the pool for the Spring/Summer season when the weather warms up. We are on the west side of the island and only about 10 minutes from the Strand and Stewart Beach. This home has a ramp to walk up to enter it rather than multiple flights of stairs. There are stairs inside the home to access the upstairs bedrooms. The master bedroom is located on the first floor. Sleeping arrangements include one bedroom down with a king bed and full bed, one bedroom upstairs with a queen bed and a full bed. And another bedroom upstairs with a full size bunk bed (sleeps 4). The living room also includes a sleeper sofa that opens up into a queen size bed and a futon that folds down into a full size bed. There is a full bathroom both downstairs and upstairs and a shower outside. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans and cooking utensils. It has a stove with a double oven, dishwasher, microwave, trash compactor and all the comforts of home! Central A/C and ceiling fans throughout. The living room has a large flat screen TV and a DVD player. There is also a tv and dvd player in both bedrooms. Cable tv is available in the living room and the master bedroom. Our home also has wifi internet. We have a fire pit right on the beach for you to enjoy roasting marshmallows, making s’more‘s or just snuggling and stargazing! Linens provided but please bring your own beach towels. Wifi and cable service can be unreliable in Galveston. We are sorry that we will be unable to guarantee that these amenities will be working during your stay and are unable to offer refunds for disruption of these services. No prom groups are allowed. The winter beach experience was exquisite. The blue cottage sat furthest out towards the waves crashing in on the chilly beach. Walks into the cool air felt wonderful and dashing back into the cozy cottage for hot drinks was heaven. The cottage is tidy, warm, and dead quiet though the wind is blowing strongly. Everything was in perfect order and the host was accommodating and friendly. This place has everything you want.
It is extremely well furnished and well kept. I can see how it would be very fun in the warm seasons as well, but the winter beach is its own thing, with a few walkers up and down the beach but mostly you have it to yourself. The beach itself was pristine with no trash in sight. All the usual restaurants and accommodations are open in winter and we had a great lunch at Waterman's and treated ourselves to a beautiful dinner out at the hotel Galvez.
To summarize, this is a great place and we had a beautiful experience, wishing only that we could stay longer. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay at Enchanted Pearl from the moment we arrived until checkout! The view from the living room is astounding. Even mirrors are well placed to see the ocean. Additional seating on the lee side of the porch was wonderful during the windiest times.
Host always contacted us within minutes for questions that arose adding warmth and security to our stay.
It’s a better stay with any of the Enchanted Rentals!

We chose to go to Galveston instead of a cruise this year. This home was perfect. Every morning I sat on the deck with my coffee and listen to the ocean - just as if I was on the cruise ship balcony - absolutely relaxing all day long - wine came later!!! Being right on the beach was fabulous and my granddaughter loved walking off the patio into the sand!!
The home backs up to a public beach which we did have some interesting entertainment but felt safe due to the police patrolling frequently.
When renting keep in mind this is a home on the beach with a lot of sand and weather which has taken control of the home which is out of control of the owner.
We will be back!

This property is in the perfect location on the beach! You can literally walk right out or relax on the deck while watching the kids build a sand castle. With this being said, you have to overlook the lack of cleanliness and the state of disrepair. It definitely needs TLC.

- Quiet & private location - very few people or cars in September (off-season)
- House is old but reasonably maintained, definitely not high-end quality
- No basic household items provided - only half a roll of toilet paper provided so bring your own, bring your own paper towels, kitchen garbage bags (bathroom bag provided), no shower soap, dish soap, or dishwasher pods (hand soap in master was provided)
- Kitchen table needs a good clean (very sticky)
- VRBO tacked on a lot of other charges to the advertised daily rent which unfortunately raised the actual dayrate significantly.
- Overall impression was 3 star out of 5.

Loved this home. Very nice location, super hosts and overall a great experience for me and the hubs, my in laws and my sister. We all needed a break from the real world and some time in the sand and Vitamin Sea.
And, of course, my sister, the professional organizer, felt the need to clean and organize all the toys under the house and my mother in law wanted to fix a few things as well.
I would say it's a bit toasty upstairs in the bunk beds but there was a fan and we were so tired after a day at the beach it didn't matter.
Overall, excellent. Only reason for the single star is we were expecting a larger grill, especially considering the number of people the house sleeps but we made things work so no harm, no foul.

I very much enjoyed it with easy access to the beach. It was quiet for the most part and nobody really disturbed us. John was quick to answer questions will arrival. We enjoyed our stay. Also, thank you for providing shower towels.

This place had a lot of amenities, especially blankets, pillows, chairs and table. The property owners had quickly responded to questions and messaged key code in timely manner. Located so close to beachfront and easy walking access to the beach.

We loved this house simply because of its great location. Being right on the beach made it super convenient for us to come and go from the house to the beach. The house is well stocked with linens, towels and kitchenware. The two A/C units (one downstairs and one upstairs) kept the home very cool on the HOT Texas summer days. Great communication with the owners. Would gladly stay here again.

This cute and fun beach house was perfect for our family weekend getaway/celebrations! The house was perfect and very clean! The access to the beach is literally footsteps away. The property owner was very nice, and literally available at any moment we had a question. The was the best experience we had in Galveston and we come here a lot. We will definitely be back! We could not have asked for a better stay!

We had a great time - the house was super cute and super close to the beach which made set-up/take-down of tents and beach games really easy. The beds were comfortable (easily sleeps 12 and we only had 8) and there were tons of towels and beach towels for our use. There are several cracked bins in the frig but were all still usable. It was really nice to have the washer and dryer - I used it several times during our stay. We are not used to staying on public beaches with cars driving on the beach (we have a couple grandkids under 5) but the police did a great job of keeping traffic controlled. It is a wonderful house and we really enjoyed out stay.

This location cannot be beat as far as proximity to the beach goes. You are literally on the beach as soon as you step off of the property. The living room is nice and roomy, with plenty of windows for viewing the beach. The deck is nice and roomy with plenty of chairs for relaxing.
This was our 5th beach rental in this general area, and our most expensive rental, so we were surprised to receive information AFTER we booked the rental that we must supply our own trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper and beach towels. Not that this would have been a deal breaker, but these details were not disclosed until after we booked. I would have thought for $600 a night (after taxes & fees), those items would be stocked like they have been in every other rental we've booked.
Also, this property is advertised as "3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms". However, it has only TWO bathrooms, and the third bedroom is actually just bunk beds in the loft. Just beware of this if you plan on bringing a large group. We had 8 in our group, and not having a third bathroom was at times, an issue.
Overall we would probably entertain renting this property again, but only at a cheaper rate / time of year.
