Located in Texas City, this charming condo for $352 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Come on down to our special corner of Galveston --a terrific corner condo that overlooks both the Gulf and the Galveston skyline. It's an end unit that goes from front-to-back of the building. Since the condo is right on the beach, you'll have sensational views! Our condo is a great get-away spot on quiet East Beach, perhaps the best beach in Galveston. Not on the busy Seawall, this condo is just five minutes away from there or The Strand, whenever you're ready for restaurants and shopping! From our eighth-floor location, you can watch the sun rise from the living room balcony and view sunsets from the bedroom balcony. Or walk outdoors and right onto the beach, where you can stroll for miles. Or just sit and bask in the sun. There's no Seawall Blvd. to navigate. The condo sleeps four comfortably, two in the roomy bedroom featuring a king, and two on the sleeper sofa in the living room. A full bath with shower (no tub) accommodates our guests. The fully equipped kitchen is recently remodeled. It includes everything you'll need to whip up a boiled shrimp dinner or a pancake breakfast. There's a microwave, two coffeemakers, electric range, fridge, and for easy clean-up, a dishwasher. (It's nicer than our kitchen at home!) We've installed password-protected wireless internet access, so you can easily and securely stay in touch while away. Wifi is also available in the lobby downstairs. Elevators whisk you to our eighth-floor location. Downstairs are a laundry, a pool for a refreshing dip, and sports courts for basketball, tennis and pickleball. Wonderful views of the east side of the island. You can watch nature and the ships. Quiet but close to the city. For us, it was a perfect place. The building is very clean and well maintained. The condo is just the right size for us two.

First time staying at Islander East and we loved the condo. It was perfect and just like description and pictures. Great communication and instructions from prior to arrival to departure. It provided us exactly what we needed for the Labor Day holiday this year. Time away and the ocean.

The property was so clean and relaxing! The views are amazing and dinner around the table in this beautiful kitchen with the views was something I’lol never forget! A lot of owners go overboard with the beach theme but the owners made this such a relaxing place to just enjoy the love of your family. I had young kids with me and it was even very functional for them. Can’t rate it high enough! We will be back.

This was our first stay here and first time using Vrbo. The view is amazing along with the walk-on proximity to the beach. The property is very clean and well run. Only complaint I could even think about is the elevator is the slowest in the world it feels, but that really didn’t matter. It’s not required, but if you are taking kids and their stuff to the beach, it would help to have a cart or wagon. Great place!!

We had tickets for a show at the Grand Opera House and decided to make a long weekend of it. This condo was perfect! Having the spectacular gulf view from the living room and deck, as well as side views out the widows, then harbor views from the back deck was so special. We watched cruise ships sail out as well as other ships and tankers. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals and we made good use of it. The east end is so much quieter and relaxed and we've already decided this will be an annual trip to stay in this great condo.

What can I say..BEAUTIFUL, EXCEPTIONAL, PEACEFUL, and just what the doctor ordered. My husband and I were celebrating our 15 year anniversary and decided to come back to Galveston. We had just bought a Jeep and wanted to drive on the beach with it. So we went back to our favorite vacation condo…it felt like home and we enjoyed every minute of it..thank you for sharing your home and we will be back!!

Disappointed in the property. The owner indicated the unit was newly renovated. The renovations we felt were of rather poor quantity. The pillows on the sofa had stains on them and replacing the bed pillows periodically should be a priority. We also do not like when there is used food/condiments in the refrigerator and opened spices left in the cupboards. The location was what we were looking for. Unfortunately there was heavy fog our entire stay.

We loved our stay at Islander East. Our 3rd time in this gorgeous 8th floor unit! Completely renovated, best views - we can see the ocean on the front and watch ships pass through the channel to the bay toward the north. We will continue to come back to Islander East!

This is the second time we've stayed in this condo. It's been renovated since our first visit and is absolutely charming. The open concept for the kitchen/dining/living area makes it feel larger than the actual square footage. It is nicely furnished with top end appliances, bedding and linens. You have both beach and bay views. The location is on the quieter end of Galveston, with many restaurants nearby (Mario's Italian, Salsas (Tex Mex), and ShyKatz (diner) among our favorites. If you choose to cook, there is plenty of cookware and dishes. Finally, Barbara is wonderful to work with. Clear, timely communication and detailed instructions make the whole process go smoothly. We'll definitely return.

We've stayed at this property several times and always loved it. This time we were there during a full moon which we enjoyed viewing through the powerful telescope. But what was spectacular on this visit was the view from the channel side balcony. Looking to the left we could watch the sunset and looking to the right we could watch the full moon rise. Doesn't get much better! See you next time.

Excellent property, Staff was just the right amount of friendly. Room was great, loved views of both the gulf and bay side both of which give a view of the city, great at night. Sunrises on the gulf side are very nice. Thunder storm came through at night and was awesome watching the light show from bed. Owner was great easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed in another unit of Barbara’s & were always pleased so decided to try a different one. This unit is our new favorite. The views -Wow. The kitchen - Wow. The comfy bed - Wow. The place is so clean & well stocked, roomy, we just thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Location is great. Only thing I would change is some darker drapes in the bedroom. Stays quite light in there with the parking lot/tennis court lights. Thank you for allowing us to share in this piece of beach paradise. We hope to be back soon!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my first solo getaway. It was the perfect place to get away for a few days and relax. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The building seems to be very well maintained also. The beach was really quiet, everyone I encountered was very friendly. I reached out to the owner one time because I was having an issue locking the front door. They replied very quickly and were really helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

Having only stayed in condos in Orange Beach, AL, we were not sure what to expect. The property is easy to get to and near many attractions. The condo is on the 8th floor with amazing views. All the amenities you need and super clean! Even the pullout couch had a super comfy mattress. Note the TV in the pics has been updated with a wall hung TV of appreciative size. The beach is a short easy walk through the grasslands via a boardwalk. Will definitely stay again!

The condo was perfect and the complex a great size not too big to keep it not overly busy. Great location on the quiet east end of the island with wonderful beach and easy access. Also close enough to the sea wall and strand to easily enjoy them as well.

This condo has the most perfect views of both the beach and the bay. We enjoyed watching the sunrise on one side then being able to watch the sunset on the other. The binoculars they had were great touch for watching the ships and birds. We have two small daughters so it was nice to walk to the beach and not have to worry about traffic. The beach was clean and not crowded. The space was very clean, spacious and simply beautiful. They have all the essentials you need to make your stay enjoyable. You can tell they have taken the time and have gone above and beyond to make sure each guest has a wonderful stay. My only reservation would be for darker curtains in the bedroom. Overall we loved our stay, very happy we got to stay here and would definitely come back again.
