Things to know Room darkening shades on both windows *Please note that the Emerald Resort charges a 10% fee, calculated as 10% of the rent only. This fee is already built into the fees at booking. ** The common areas of the complex are under video surveillance. ***Per HOA rules, renters are not allowed to have day visitors. Only registered occupants may be in the condo or use the common areas, including the pool. Renters are required to wear wristbands in the common areas to show that they have registered. ****The gym/fitness center is only available to renters Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7 am to 10:30 pm. Only adults 21 years and older are allowed in the gym. Guests are expected to bring a towel to wipe down equipment after using it. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. This rental is located on floor 6. Security camera details: The common areas of the complex are under video surveillance. No cameras inside the home. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation. Plenty of space, beautiful view, pool and jacuzzi were great. Clean and well kept. Extremely polite staff. Only comment: More towels would be nice too. Fantastic stay, very fair pricing!

It was the first time to Galveston for both of us. We absolutely fell in love with the beach community and especially the property we stayed at. Everything was exactly as it was portrayed in the marketing materials. We love the location, the room, the patio, the common area, the pool, etc. They will definitely be back add, thank you for such a great stay.

The condo was fine. However, the check in procedure was an absolute joke. Although the documentation says you can not check into the room until 4pm, there is nothing that says you CAN NOT use any of the facilities until 4 pm. Therefore, if you arrive at 10 am, not only can you not use the pool, hot tub or any of the other facilities, they won’t even let you leave your luggage anywhere. Imagine that, no place to store a few pieces of luggage while you go get a bite to eat. You have to drag them through Galveston in the 100 degree heat. Then check out time is 10 am. If you try to speak with one of the service reps at Vacasa, they regurgitate something they are told to say no matter what the situation. They apologize for the inconvenience, but offer no solution whatsoever. If I could have given less than 1 star I would have, more like negative 10,000. Find another place to stay or get there after 4 pm. But, remember, you are paying for that day and getting almost nothing for it.

This place is great, staff are super friendly and accommodating. We came down as a family of 4 and wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else. Beautiful room, perfect access to the pool and anything else needed amenity wise.. would 100% stay here every time if we could.

The condo was just as the photos portrayed. Nice grounds and very friendly people. The only negatives were that the bed needs a new mattress and the Keurig leaks.

Great location in relation to the things we wanted to do and easy access to the beach. The unit itself was very nice. The kitchen was missing pans to cook with, but we bought a pan to bring back home.
The wristbands were a pain and you felt like a kid being by reprimanded by a teacher for asking for one that was cutting your circulation off and being told you had to never take it off when the paper work stated it was only needed in common areas.
Next, out 6th floor patio would have been great to drink coffee in the mornings since you aren’t allowed outside of it prior to 10am. We couldn’t use the patio for the first few days due to weather sealing. We understand maintenance, but we couldn’t use it.
The residents were very friendly and gave their own recommendations for local places. All in all, the place was great. The rules for using the pool or even sitting at the pool area before 10am in the morning were a bit late and restrictive.

I love the Emerald by the Sea, such a great spot to stay with amazing amenities. I will say, as far as the room goes, it was meh. We weren’t provided with any wifi password/information, our shower had hair from the previous tenants, and the hand soap and dish soap at the kitchen sink were so watered down you can’t use it. We pay a lot for the stay, why can’t you purchase some hand soap?

It was a very nice property, and being next to the pool and hot tub was an extra bonus! Also, it's proximity to Stewart Beach made the ocean easily accessible. The one thing which I would suggest to enhance the experience would be to somehow add a washer/dryer to the property.

The best condo we have ever stayed at. The view is outstanding and the amenities are right outside your patio gate. Private grills and cabanas you can reserve and the pool and hot tub are right outside your gate too. Don’t hesitate and rent this condo today!

Wonderful condo, just as represented! The entire complex is beautiful. We especially loved this unit on the 6th floor with three pools just outside our patio. No crowds, noise. Great, helpful staff and excellent location on the seawall. Will stay again. Highly recommend.

We didn’t really like having to wear the wristbands, but that was probably the only disadvantage. We understand there are compromises when staying in a unit with a very active HOA. We met several residents and they were very kind and friendly. We cooked all of our meals in the condo… My only wish was for some type of Tupperware or storage containers. We ended up going to the dollar store to buy some plastic bags, and plastic dishes for storage and a dish scrubber, as we felt that was lacking. We use the barbecue grills and enjoyed having that as an option. There was an issue with the cable while we were there, but the property management was very attentive and address the concern by working with the local cable company. And I the location of the condo was great, the island isn’t too big and we were able to drive wherever we wanted. At first I thought the condo would be too small just being a studio, but it really did work wonderfully for us. And the shower is amazing! We definitely want to stay here again!

Convenient location - at intersection of the 2 main roads in Galveston, so could easily hop on Broadway for the 7 min drive to the Strand or hop on Seawall Blvd to drive to any of the beaches (closest is a 2 min drive). Or could drive 3 min to ferry to get to Crystal beach.
