I did not like the property or the area

We recently had the misfortune of staying this "Luxury, Deluxe apartment" after seeing photos on Booking.com. The photos on booking.com are staged and the description of the apartment is overly exaggerated and frankly incorrect. It's a basic apartment in a mediocre apartment block. The apartment does not look like the pictures advertised – there is minimal natural daylight, and the lights must be kept on throughout the day. The apartment looks very different from the photos advertised on the website, and what the owner claims. The “Terrace with city views” is again a false claim – The terrace is a dark, dirty area and does not have any views, unless you stand up and look over the window. The apartment only had one air conditioning in the living room, which meant the bedroom was hot and stuffy, making it difficult to sleep. Opening the windows was not possible as there was significant construction work taking place outside the front and back of the apartment from early in the morning and on the weekend: The noise woke up us in the mornings and made it difficult to relax, watch tv, or work from the apartment. The apartment owner did not make us aware of the construction work and noise impact. We made a compliant and notified the property manager of our intention to leave the apartment earlier than planned and requested a refund due to their false advertising. They said we could check out early and asked us not to write a negative review. So we checked out early and they then refused to refund us for the remainder of the time - they bizarrely offered us a discount if we would like to stay with them again. Since my complaint, the property owner has since taken down some of the pictures advertised on booking.com and they have turned off the review function on Google reviews so people can't share their honest feedback.

Host was very friendly and accommodating with all requests.
