Overlooks & constructed on the banks of the beautiful Chalk Creek w/ floor to ceiling windows.. Enjoy the beauty (magnificent) & sounds of nature (bubbling creek below), watch the wildlife (deer, elk, fox) fish, hike or sit out on the 40' plus wrap around porch. The large screened in porch is great for outdoor eating and relaxing as well. This is a warm & wonderfully built cabin w/ all the comforts & amenities (maybe more) of home. With 3 full baths and 6 separate vanities, everyone gets accommodated. Mt. Ralphmore is located just 15 min. & 23 min. respectively from the historic towns of Buena Vista & Salida, where charm, dining, shopping & galleries abound! Monarch, Ski Cooper & Copper Ski Resorts are all 45-60 min. away, as is Leadville (lots of history there). Breckenridge is just a bit over an hour & Vail is 1 hr. & 30 min. This the perfect place for a family vacation in the middle of the beautiful Collegiate peaks. The cabin was wonderful for large gatherings. We comfortably slept 9 adults with room for more. It was very clean and right in the middle of fishing, white water rafting, hiking trails and very close to snow skiing. We couldn’t have asked for a better place. The owner was so responsive with ideas for groceries, restaurants and hiking trails. We had a wonderful time.

Perfect amount of relaxing spaces. We were thrilled with all of the activities in the area. Swimming, hiking, fishing all fun. We loved this precious home! It was so perfect we’re hoping to return someday.

Lovely property.. well stocked kitchen and beautiful location. Lots of activities in the area. The listing was a little misleading in the sense they said under amenities ….air conditioning… but only fresh mountain air; which was one reason we rented because of allergies.

This cabin is beautiful and well stocked. The bed arrangements weren’t great for our group (3 twins in one room and a double in a loft with no door), but we knew that when we booked it. Elizabeth was quick to reply to our questions and very helpful. The location along the creek is dreamy as is the screened in porch and games for kids. Some of the furniture is tired but overall a very cozy stay in a beautiful location. It feels like a home, not just a rental. Thanks for a great stay!

We spent a long weekend at the cabin for our sons 40th birthday. It has everything we needed and more. The location is easy to get to. The cabin is immaculate and had plenty of room for the 12 of us - 8 adults, 4 kids. We have been going to Mt. Princeton for the last 40 plus years and this was by far our favorite stay. There is plenty of seating to accommodate everyone indoors and out. We loved having coffee by the creek in the morning, spending the day fishing in the creek and finishing the night up by the campfire roasting s'mores. The wrap around porch with the view of the Chalk Cliffs and Chalk Creek was truly a dream. Elizabeth was very responsive and very accommodating to our needs, we also give her 5 stars. The cabin is an amazing property for family pictures, we can't wait to put our photo books together for the family. Thank you for the wonderful stay, we will be back. Peace and Love, Bob and Janis

The cabin was well kept, spacious, and well stocked. The location was private but close to many activities. We loved the fire pit when it wasn't raining.
My son-in-law is a gourmet chef and found the kitchen very well set up for his creations. The kids loved the hikes, St Elmo, horseback riding, and the wildlife.

We chose this property for our annual women's only weekend. It met all of our expectations! It was easy to find, the setting was absolutely peaceful and beautiful, and the home was well stocked with all of the things we needed. There were 10 of us, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was awesome - we had everything we needed for meals, etc. I can't think of anything that needs improvement except perhaps to have some instructions posted about using the fireplace in the living room. We loved being by the creek and being so close to hiking trails. Thank you to our hosts for being so thoughtful about what guests would appreciate! I would definitely rent this home again and would recommend it for anyone.

10 of us, ages 6 to 75 spent 4 wonderful nights at this spectacular property. What a pleasant surprise! Wonderfully provisioned with superior appliances, cooking utensils, dining, serving and entertainment options. Very comfortable sleeping arrangements with 4 different temperature settings throughout the house and a few fireplaces to enjoy. Beautiful views of Mt. Princeton and Chalk Cliffs, accompanied with a very pleasant Chalk creek a stone's throw from the balcony. Spacious, comfortably furnished and exquisitely provisioned (to include a device for sharpening your scissors). We will return.

Beautiful home in a quiet area situated on Chalk Creek. Views of the Chalk Cliffs from the home were amazing. We enjoyed fishing in the backyard, as well as nearby hiking, hot springs, and touring the local fish hatchery. Side trips to Buena Vista and Salida rounded out our weekend. We would definitely stay in this home again.

We stayed in and loved this cabin for 6 days in July! Our group consisted of 6 adults and 7 children ranging from 10 to 1.
The cabin is beautiful. The kitchen is perfect for a big group with plenty of countertop space and fully stocked with everything you should need. The huge dining table had plenty of room. The living room had plenty of seating. There is a large selection of toys and games. Pay attention to the bedroom setup. The bedrooms are nice and pretty large, but the bed setup wasn't the most ideal for us with the 1 room having 3 single beds. The loft sleeping area worked perfect for the older kids. The upstairs bathroom is set up very nicely with 2 sinks/vanities located right outside of the bathroom, then a full bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet. The screened in porch is perfect for extra storage and a place to hang out when it is raining. The wrap around porch is awesome with plenty of seating! The outside property is gorgeous. The stream running through the property is so peaceful. We caught a few trout right in the backyard! The firepit down by the stream is the best firepit I have ever seen. It's right at the water, it's huge, and has nice seating. We had a fire every evening. We had a deer in the yard every morning. The hummingbird feeder on the porch was always busy with hummingbirds too.
The location of the cabin is perfect. It is right off a paved road, it's a very easy and short drive to both Buena Vista and Salida. There are hiking trails very close to the cabin, it is a quick 10 minute drive to St. Elmo. We brought side by sides and took off from St. Elmo on some trail rides, it was perfect.
A couple things to keep in mind. First, there is plenty of parking at the cabin, but we had trailers with the side by sides. There isn't much room to turn the trailers around, we had to back them down the long narrow driveway. The control valve for the downstairs shower by the laundry room isn't working correctly. You can get the correct water temperature, but you have to keep spinning the lever and it just takes awhile to figure it out. Bring some extra toilet paper, there were 6 rolls when we got there which wasn't enough for our stay. One other minor issue is 3 months after booking I got a bill saying the cleaning fee was incorrect and I owed extra, a mistake had been made by someone but that far into the process I wasn't convinced it should be my responsibility to fix it.
Overall we had a great stay and can't wait to come back!

The property had a very nice fire ring and chairs right along the creek. We saw quite a few deer wonder by. The location was great as we wanted to be near MP hot springs. The bed arrangement isn’t great for adults, but better suited for a lot of kids.

But overall this is a wonderful property

Beautiful and Spacious
The home was very clean and the property was beautiful! We saw several different animals on and near the property. The owners provided a binder of helpful info on things to do in the area. Short drive to BV for food/groceries and shopping, Noah’s Ark for outdoor adventures, St. Elmo for chipmunk feeding (the highlight of the trip for my girls!), and Mt. Princeton Hot Springs pools and stable for horseback riding. We traveled all over CO on our trip and this was our favorite stay! Wish we could have stayed longer!!!

Beautiful setting and close to some fly fishing spots. Great fully stocked kitchen. The seating area by the creek is wonderful and the big fireplace in the living room was perfect!

This home/property has everything you need and more! By far the BEST Air B&B we have ever stayed at! The owners are meticulous in their care for their home. It has such a comfortable and inviting energy. They stock this home with anything and everything you can think of. Easy to find. Be aware there is spotty internet and cell service. If you want to get away from it all this is the place!

We absolutely loved this property. The house was the quintessential mountain home. The stream running behind, the home furnishings, mountain views, great deck and fire pit area were all amazing. The close proximity to the hot springs as well as St. Elmo trailhead were a big plus. Buena Vista and Salida are short drives away. We would highly recommend this home and hope to return next year.
