All fireplaces could not be used; no operating instructions. Fireplace on main floor had pieces broken off; review in 02/23 documented same problem. Hot tub never reached correct temperature; review dated 11/23 documented same problem. The last bedroom downstairs had water leaking from the ducts & leaking on bed. Water also leaking from light control on wall. Notified Marcin; pictures sent & he said a fan was in the closet. Main bedroom upstairs door to bathroom would not close properly and the jets in bath tub not working. Showers in upstairs could not be used; one shower appeared clogged & the other one had no hot water. The shower in the laundry room was used for us. Refrigerator in bar had had a block of ice in it & the wine bar was nasty; both needed cleaning. Most important safety issues were sliding doors on main floor could not be locked; one side of door was secured with a broken shower rod & the other was secured with a broken pool cue we found near pool table. One door just closed not locked. Carpets needed cleaning. Marcin was notified of all our concerns and his response was how expensive it is to replace all the locks. He did not come by property or give us any assistance. We took photos of the leaks, broken knob for fireplace, dirty refrigerator/wine cooler, dirty carpets & vents. House keeping isn’t doing their job; bare minimum and maintenance not doing repairs that have already been reported.
Beautiful property, supplies plentiful. Repairs needed.

This house was set up perfectly for our large family gathering. The views of the lake are beautiful and can be seen from almost every room in the home. Our family will definitely be repeat renters for this amazing home!

Beautiful property for our wedding and the host was very responsive and helpful. Enough rooms for our closest friends! A couple of minor things such as hot tub not working and some breaker issues, but overall everything was so wonderful and we would absolutely return or recommend to others!

This is a wild, interesting house with surprises everywhere. It was a great space to spend time with friends. The highlight was having access to the pontoon on such a beautiful fall weekend. The kitchen is extremely well stocked and mad cooking easy. The pool was heated and the fire pit perfect for taking in the lake views.

Had a blast. Great location. Needs few upgrades. The pontoon access and private boat ramp was really nice

Our group of 5 couples spent a delightful week at this fabulous house on Lake Keowee. Lots of "pros" and very few "cons." Here are the highlights:
Pros -- 1. Great bedrooms; everyone was happy with the beds, and the showers had plenty of pressure and hot water. You can't believe the Master Bedroom; pictures hardly do it justice! 2. Great spaces through the house for everyone to gather and also areas for small groups or individuals to chill quietly. 3. Pool area sitting right down by the lake was a real plus. Water temperature was comfortable and the water was clear, albeit with some leaves and debris blown into the pool by the wind. Pool service came on Thursday to do a thorough cleaning and testing the water. 4. TVs everywhere (although there were a lot of remote controls to figure out!). 5. Check-in and check-out was a breeze, and Nick, the owner, was always quick to respond. 6. Oh, did I mention the pontoon boat that's included in the rental? It's old and well-used, but it started right up, ran well, and easily accommodated 10 adults. With kids, there would be room for even more.
Cons -- not many! The house is beautifully decorated, but it's getting a little old and there are some spots on the carpets and rugs, but overall it was a clean interior. The furniture was heavy and well-built, but some of it is showing its age, as to be expected in a rental. The outside also shows some wear, but nothing that stopped us from enjoying lots of time outside.

Our family of 11 had a blast!! The views are absolutely amazing and the house provided ample space for gathering and quiet time. We took full advantage of the pool, pontoon, jet ski, billiards, grill and fire pit.The children loved jumping off the dock and swimming in the pool. We spent one morning sliding down the rocks at Long Shoals Recreation Area and an afternoon playing putt putt golf. Lots to do in the area. Most of our days were spent exploring the lake, tubing and just enjoying the water. We had four grandchildren with us ages 4, 3, 2, and 4mo. We knew from reading previous reviews about the wide railings upstairs and on the deck. We came prepared with a baby gate for the stairs to keep them away from the balcony and placed chairs in front of doors leading outside. Everyone was safe and we made some wonderful memories. Others have mentioned the house could use some updates and a little TLC. This is true and although we took great care of the property, it was actually more relaxing to spend time in a 'well loved' home with our crew of littles. Nick was great to work with and quick to respond to any questions. Such a wonderful week!!

We loved our time here, as we have in the past, and it was noticeably more clean. Also very grateful for the outdoor seating and tables now. Thank you! Only suggestion is to please take some time to update the house wallpaper, decor, furnishings (especially the sectional in the living room), the pontoon (we rent our own bc of the state of the pontoon offered with the house). Also would suggest labeling kitchen drawers and give book of instructions for various items. We had to use one of the kids fire sticks to cast to the main living room TV. We love this place because it has enough room for our family, we are familiar with what is generally there, plus the pool and then the dock.

Our 2023 family reunion could not have been held in a better place. The pool, lake, pontoon boat, jet skis and house were wonderful. There are a lot of small maintenance issues with this property but we were there to enjoy each other and not purchase the home. This house offers so many quiet places for anyone needing that. Nick was wonderful to work with and we are looking forward to our next stay in July 2024.

I would highly recommend this property. We take a boating trip every year and we will definitely be back. The only negative was the pool, but I cannot blame that on the owner as this was out of his control. He was very receptive and had a crew to balance and clean the water the day after we spoke. The view and property layout of this house is my favorite so far out of all our summer trips. Owner 5/5. Ease to work with 5/5.

We rent every summer on Keowee, and had admired this house from the water for many years. We had the opportunity to rent it this summer with a few other families and were not disappointed one bit. The house was spacious, with great common areas as well as private nooks when a little quite time was needed. This was one of the best appointed houses that we've ever rented, in terms of towels, kitchen gear, etc and the location is so convenient. The house is on an open cove with beautiful views, but has limited boat traffic immediately in front of it. It is a short distance to the Crooked Creek RV park for boat and jet ski refueling.
The inside bar and game room were a favorite hang out, as was the awesome pool and firepit areas.
Nik was super easy to work with, and responded to all of our questions quickly. I can't say enough great things about this experience, and would highly recommend this to anyone considering.

We came to celebrate my mothers birthday and had a great time at the lake. What a beautiful view and location. Nick was great to deal with while we were there.

Lots to do! Fishing, swimming (lake & pool), boating, hot tub, grilling video/games/billiards. Everyone in our group of 21 enjoyed the property!!

This house is in a great location, amenities are good but the overall condition of the property is sadly in need of some TLC. The use of the pontoon boat was good but the condition of the boat was dirty and needed attention.

Thank you, Nick!

Overall this was a great property that slept 9, but hosted 17 for lunches and dinners. The setting of this property is very pretty and sitting out at the pool was fantastic. We had chefs that came in a cooked for the weekend and there was ample space in the kitchen. Our friends and family said the beds were comfortable and had no complaints about sleeping/bathroom accommodations. The only items I would say could be addressed was the "L" shaped sofa in the great room had several stains and could stand to be replaced along with the area rugs. We had a 2 1/2 year old grandchild that we had to keep very close eyes on when she was on the upper deck patio. I know when this house was built codes were vastly different, but a small child could go through the outdoor railings fairly easily. (This is no fault of the owner again-I am sure it was at code when the home was built). We would definitely rent this home again! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy it.

Beautiful view. Loved our stay. Plenty of room for for all of the guests. This was our second stay at the house and will return again.

Nothing advertised was available. The pools heater didn’t work and it was very dirty. Hot tub heater didn’t work and very dirty. Pontoon boat very old, dirty, and unkept. Jet ski’s advertised and speed boat not available to rent. The owner waited until we asked to reserve it to say he didn’t have the forms. This was after speaking to him twice the same week about it.
Outside area unkept and inside house needs work.
The house is falsely advertised with unavailable amenities!!!!!!

We were very disappointed upon our arrival at the house. The pictures online were so beautiful other than the house being outdated. When we arrived the grounds and pool area was a mess. The pool and hot tub needed to be cleaned and the hot tub needed to be shocked. We spent two hours cleaning up! We were told a big storm came through. After asking around this was not true. They had high winds but no storm. The house was very outdated and dirty. Big stains on the area rugs. The carpet is very old and worn. The kitchen barstools had rust on them. The next morning we were woken by pest control checking the rat traps. That was very irritating as most of the kids were sleeping and we had to wake them all up to find an attic that didn’t exist. The pontoon boat is very old and was dirty. Ripped seats. Left over garbage from previous people using it. No life jackets to be found. The pump for the pond on the property was so loud and ran the entire time. The deck area had carpet on it that is lifting. Fake flowers haphazardly placed in pots. And lastly the towels and sheets reeked like laundry detergent. We had a few people with allergies that this really affected. I think if the owner paid attention to the details and kept up the house with maintenance this would really be a beautiful place but needs a ton of work. I can’t recommend this vrbo to anyone. Not at all as advertised and seemed owner doesn’t care about renters vacation experience he simply is trying to make money. I’m sure he owns many properties.

Property is in a great area with view of lake. Lots of room had 20 people stay. Main floor deck could use some TLC. Nick is great to work with.

Our stay at the lake house was wonderful. We had a great time. Nick helped to make our stay absolutely perfect. We enjoyed ourselves and this was not our first time staying there and it was better than the first time. Thanks for allowing 10 women to enjoy themselves at a beautiful lake house.

The property is very unique and and right on the lake. As long as you don’t need to contact management you will enjoy your stay. Could have been cleaned better.
Nick (manager) is rude and of no help at all. And the maintenance guy informing me to “Google it” when we could not get a fireplace working.
I was very disappointed with management practices

The house is beautiful. Nick was available to assist with any questions or concerns. I would suggest a better cleaning company other than that everything was great. Hope to stay here again.

We really enjoyed this home, and emailed the owner with a few improvements to improve the stay of future guests. If grills and a boat are included, it would be nice to have propane and gas upon arrival. There were a few other maintenance issues we emailed the owner, but overall we enjoyed the property and especially the pool table.

This house is set beautifully on the lake and offered extraordinary views. The house, however, was once as beautiful as the views it offered. It is a bit run down with peeling wallpaper, a slow leaking toilet, a boat that doesn't work or is out of gas, bathrooms that are only partially cleaned, remotes for the fireplaces with remotes that have old, dead batteries. We still had a good time here. but imagine how wonderful it could have been.

Nick is great, wonderful location and the size was perfect. The esthetic need updating and we were disappointed in the fireplaces and grill not working properly. Other than that I would still recommend it for size & location

Our extended family had a wonderful time in the house. The accommodations were great and we really enjoyed the evening cruise on the pontoon. We would definitely come back.

This house was perfect for our group of 7 couples who get together once each year to enjoy a Clemson game and time at the lake. The house has lots of room, plenty of seating areas inside & out, and lots of TVs, so different interests don’t have to compete for space. The cool, rainy weather prevented us from fully enjoying the amenities (pool, hot tub, pontoon boat), but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Nick was very prompt in replying to all our questions & was a great host. We are looking forward to future stays here!

Overall good trip. The pontoon boat was a plus. We enjoyed the leaves changing and the beautiful view of the lake from the home.

We decided to “return to Clemson “…after 50 years!! What an absolutely beautiful estate for 10 sorority sisters to reconnect with each other and revisit our campus! So much space…so much beauty!! The owner was so prompt and helpful with all communication and the pictures very accurately depict thehome and amenities!! If you’re visiting the area with a group…do not hesitate to stay at “Estate on the Lake”!!!

Had a family vacation (approx 15 of us) and this how fit us all without ever feeling crammed at all. It was absolutely perfect in that aspect. Property itself was great, the views were amazing sitting out on the porch or down by the water. Definitely helped that the weather was perfect for our trip as well. I reached out to the owner a couple of times pre-vacation, and he was very responsive! We used the boat for a few trips to cruise along the lake which was just great. Hot tub worked great. The kids went in the pool, and never complained about the pool temp (despite temps in the 60s for a good portion of the trip) so the warmer must’ve been doing it’s job! Kitchen size was great - esp when you have a bunch of “cooks” ha! As a couple others have mentioned, a few things need a little TLC. One being the kitchen table seats need replaced, they were quite ripped and shed pieces of fabric. Also, the gas gauge on the boat wasn’t working. Overall though, it was a perfect vacation! We had a blast!! Definitely recommend a stay.

Property was as advertised. Could use some updating, but it looks like it is constantly being rented.
