Snowater Condo #14 - 2 Story Townhouse Condo - Sleeps 6 - Close to Snowater Community Amenities! WiFi This standard 2-story, 2-bedroom townhouse style condo is a great family home away from home! The 1st floor features one bedroom with 2-twin sized beds, 1-bath, a fully equipped kitchen, and an open living/dining area with a gas fireplace and a hide-a-bed, plus a small balcony overlooking the common area. The 2nd floor features a loft master bedroom with 1-king bed, 1-bath, and a laundry cubby with a stack washer/dryer. This newly furnished and monitored family vacation property will sleep 4 to 6-persons (ENFORCED Maximum Occupancy!). The Mount Baker Recreation Area is a year-round playground! SUMMER Guests enjoy great hiking, mountain biking, mountain climbing, rock climbing, backpacking, freshwater fishing (lake and river), small game hunting, whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, nature viewing, tennis, and golf. WINTER Guests enjoy spectacular downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and sledding. Don't forget your camera...the photography is unsurpassed year-round! Snowater is positioned on 20 acres of magnificent forest on the banks of the Nooksack River which runs on 3 sides of the property. At an elevation of 1000 feet, Snowater is accessible year round. Amenities include two full recreational buildings with two heated swimming pools, hot tubs, a sauna, four tennis courts, basketball, squash/racquetball courts and an adult fitness center. There is a lounge area with free WiFi, a pool table, ping pong table and a separate toddler play room. The grounds have bbq/picnic areas as well as a children's play structure and trails along the river. Snowater is located at the edge of the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest, close to the Mt. Baker Ski Area and spectacular old growth forests, an area rich in history and outdoor opportunities. Wi-Fi / Shared Hot Tub and Pool / NO Pets / NO Smoking Mountain Adventures/Romantic Getaway OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES: **Wi-Fi service is now available in our area and provided FREE OF CHARGE for Guest use. Having said this, the service is currently subject to failure, as the service provider is dialing everything in. Intermittent service failures are a circumstance that is beyond our control, and no sleeping accommodation refunds are provided if the FREE Wi-Fi SERVICE fails to function correctly. **This cabin is a monitored family vacation home, not a party house. In this regard, Guests who choose to ignore house rules are subject to immediate eviction with complete forfeiture of all rental monies paid (per the written Guest Rental Agreement). Guests are expected to always treat this private residence with the utmost respect, as well as to be mindful of neighboring homes and respect the privacy of neighboring homeowners by not disturbing them at any time. The condo is a little dated and musty but the grounds and location are beautiful. The condo had everything we needed. We were told to bring everything including coffee and shampoo but those were provided. Otherwise, believe the listing that you need to bring all condiments etc. There were 4 of us - an adult child, his friend and parents. It would have been tight for 6 adults. The room the kids stayed in doesn't have a window so feels cave-like and stuffy. We ate at Chair 9 for dinner and Wake and Bakery for breakfast. Highly recommend both. The kitchen was adequate for the reheated dinner we ate in. The table is just big enough for 4. The trails on the property are very pretty.

This is a great unit. Clean, with comfy beds and great location within the property. Two things were not apparent from the listing. First, the bedroom with twin beds has no window or heating. The provided space heater did a great job of keeping the space warm but was noisy so not so nice to use at night while sleeping. Second, there was no wifi or landline phone service in the unit, and no cell coverage in the area. With the unit landline phone number provided, we assumed that there would be a working landline phone in the unit, but there was not. There is public wifi available at the clubhouses on the property so we could walk over there if we needed to contact anyone but it was a bit cumbersome to coordinate meeting up with friends in the area or to order takeout from local restaurants. Not a deal breaker, just something to be aware of. Overall, a great unit we would come back to again!

The property managers were very responsive to our questions, and clear with their directions to the condo (without cell service, this was needed!). The building is a bit older, but it suited our needs perfectly.

I really loved my stay, will be back. It is one of the few properties really close to Mt Baker (45 minutes to Artist point and ski area). More than enough room for the four of us, comfy beds, not too hot for the summer. There is a restaurant in walking distance (Chair 9 pizza), but keep in mind that the BBQ part of it closes at 8, pizza part - at 9 - but if you come, say, at 8:30 they may run out of pizza dough after half an hour of waiting (ask me how I know:)) Minor cons for the condo: no wifi or cell reception (restaurant free wifi is your only option but it is super slow and unreliable), dishwasher didn't work but I'm sure it will get fixed. The checkin via MtBakerLodging was actually easy (it's on the way anyway). But the best of all is Mt Baker Lodging management. Truly amazing people, willing to resolve most complicated situations. VRBO somehow produced an extra booking for me (and declined to own up their mistake) but Verna from Mt Baker Lodging did everything she could to make it right for me despite it being the day before check in. So I will stay with them again.
