About this cottage rental

Situated in Muskoka Lakes, this attractive cottage for $472 per night is a great choice for your next break. Not renting ever. Unfortunately, I'm unable to "hide" this listing. So sorry! And for those really wondering, yes, it's true. WE'RE NOT RENTING. THANKS! This boathouse is the perfect place in Cottage Country. Stairs or a ramp lead into the boathouse. The boathouse is located right on top of the water with a large deck on the second level with clear glass railings providing unobstructed views of the lake. Because it has a southern exposure, sun is available all day long. The large deck is perfect for sun bathing, taking in the view (Loons and ducks frequent the area.), dining, or just watching the stars at night. (Meteor Showers in August are jaw dropping!) Lower Docks are on three sides of the boathouse, which make swimming, fishing, or sunning an ideal experience. The biggest bonus of the boathouse is that the lake is visible from the family and dining room on three sides. Whether from the deck or inside, the sights make eating breakfast, lunch and dinner a special treat! The master bedroom (ensuite) has a king sized bed. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed. There are two rolling cots that may be used for additional sleeping accommodations. Sleeping 6 or less is preferred, but may go up to as high as 8 with an additional fee of $100/person over the total number of 6. If you have a boat, you may dock your boat by the docks. There are 7 boats included with the rental for you to explore the lake: a canoe, rowboat, 3 kayaks, and 2 paddle boats. Chairs are available for enjoying the view from the docks or deck. The swimming area around the boathouse ranges from 3 feet to 7 feet close to the boathouse and then deeper (~20 ft.) further out. The water temperature is warmer as it’s located in a smaller, shallow bay on Lake Muskoka. The Glen Orchard General Store is only 10 minutes away for quick need items. Restaurants, shopping, and sight seeing in Bala, Bracebridge, and Port Carling are within a short distance. Tennis and golf are also nearby. Lake Muskoka connects to Lake Rosseau and Lake Joseph in the heart of Port Carling. Port Carling is not far either by motorboat or by car. VRBO cancellation policy is not accepted by or binding on the owner. If You cancel, any time up until the date which is eight weeks prior to the Check In Date, we will retain $1,000 to cover costs. If you terminate on a date which is less than eight weeks before your Check In Date, the entire amount you have paid to us will be kept by us unless we are able to find a subsequent occupant at the same rate. Payment via VRBO Payment carries a $200 charge + a service fee (pricing according to VRBO). Boat House in Port Carling
Boat House in Port Carling
We stayed at the boat house in October, loved every moment of our trip. Bala was amazing, we went the the Cranberry marsh. The boat house exceeded our expectations, it was fully stocked with bedding and dishes and so much space for us. The View off the deck is breath taking. Over all what a great place to rent with friends or family. So many little spots for kids to swim and play safely as well.

We had a wonderful time, the views were absolutely amazing and we wanted for nothing. Port Carling, Bracebridge & Gravenhurst were all close by. Lots to see and do. Thank you so much for making our annual fall color trip and our honeymoon spectacular! Violet & Kevin.

Our family of three, just had an amazing 1 week vacation at this boat house on Lake Muskoka. The description of the property as depicted in the pictures was bang on. The 2 bedrooms were large and very clean and additional beds in the lower level could be utilized for larger families. Most of our meals were cooked on the BBQ and eaten on the outdoor table on the boat house deck surrounded by water.... an experience we all really enjoyed, being that close to nature..... 2 Loons came calling each evening while my wife and I had a cocktail on the deck. The boat house slip easily moored our 20 ft boat. We spent most of our days in the water swimming or in our boat. Day trips in the boat or car travelling a number of times to Port Carling, Bala and Gravenhurst for breakfasts, lunches and shopping provided us with a variety of things to do that were not available to us in past rentals. All in all we were all very impressed with this wonderful boat house. We would recommended this place to anyone that loves being by the water!!
