Wow, what a house. It is really the best place ever. First, Kim, is remarkable, she came to pick us up on time, she is clear and fast when we ask her for something. The place where we lived was beautiful, the pool is amazing and clean. All the staff that works there are smily. The house is, i must say, the best one we ever had. Situated ON THE BEACH. Not complicate, easy access, a view to dream every day. What we liked the most was the outdoor space. We read outside, just chilled there and ate every meal there. No noise, only the waves. The rooms are big, comfy, the kitchen is great. A mini little oven was useful, but there is no regular oven. The BBQ outside, not useful at all. It doesn't cook. So if you like to BBQ forget about it. We had gallons of water (100 pesos) to drink and the machines gives us hot water. All the utilities to cook were there. There is a plaza where we bought what we forgot but the main grocery was done on the road from the airport. We made a list of what we would eat and we just had to buy some little things at the plaza. At this plaza we had pastry (delicious), ice cream (good) and a pizza (very good). The prices are like at home. There is a lot of security on the site. It is very secure. A funny thing that i didn't realize before going there is that there is a restaurant Castaway's on the site, but it is 5 steps from our house! So convenient if you don't want to cook. The staff is nice, the food is good. We went there for the New Year's eve. Plus, there is a bar with beautiful music too. So we had our little resort just for us. The beach is private, the water was nice, not a lot of sea weed. Some dogs from other owners, nice dogs. The sand is white and soft. The palm trees create shade. We walked every day along the beach. You can discover the other resorts that are crowded...so happy to be where we were. We went to visit the beach of Macao, wow, you have to go there. Amazing beach, it's a must. Then we went to another beach because we had to take our Covid test, Los Corales. Not nice for us. Full of people, full of chairs and resorts...too many people. The beach was awful, full of seaweeds, dirty. Didn't like it. But we had a nice meal at Citrus in the village, it was delicious. We are not far from the airport (40 min). About wi-fi....don't count on that. We had so much problems...even watching Netflix was a challenge. The little wheels turns non stop. Overall i would say Go and enjoy. Thank you KIM xx

This is my 4th year and I will keep returning! This is my little piece of heaven. You will not be disappointed.

Pro's: - Very nice secluded beaches that go on for miles - The unit is as about as close to the ocean as you can get anywhere - The host was available and helpful w/ issues encountered The general community was nice (nice pool, lawn areas, and the few other people around were very friendly) - The weather was perfect (late March) Con's - The unit is in an extremely remote/ desolate area and at least an hour from restaurants or grocery stores ($130 cab ride round trip) - The general area was designed for all-inclusive resorts and the local infrastructure does not really support stand-alone rental units - A rental car really is necessary to survive for the week - but local drivers are aggressive and particularly dangerous at night (cars w/no tail lights and motorbikes w/no lights) - The unit's air conditioner had a governor on it set to mid-80 degrees - The unit was dark and somewhat dated inside - The unit had a stove but no oven or functional BBQ

We stayed for three weeks at this fabulous condo and found it to be the perfect place for an extended stay near Punta Cana. We recommend it without reservation. It is just far enough away from the resort crowds to afford a real sense of privacy, almost like having your own home on the beach, yet it’s close enough to the golf, restaurants and other attractions of Bavaro and Punta Cana to make them easily accessible. We rented a car and found it very easy to get around once we had acclimated ourselves. The beachfront location is outstanding as the patio is literally right on the beach front. We spent many mornings and evenings on the comfortable furniture there enjoying the view and the warm breezes. The interior of the condo was neat, clean, well-organized, well-furnished and exactly as pictured on the website. The beach is one of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen and it is cleaned up every day and is uncrowded with plenty of nice chairs available. The community pool is outstanding and also uncrowded with lots of chairs available. The owners of this condo have clearly given a lot of thought as to how to make their guests feel comfortable and well-accommodated as we found that the condo contained all of the things we needed to enhance our stay. The owners were also very helpful and complete in their pre-trip advice to us, which was especially helpful as this was our first trip to the DR. They prepared us well for our stay and were also promptly helpful and responsive when a couple of minor issues arose during our time there. We also felt very safe in this gated community with security at the front gate and on the beach. We are already planning a return visit.

Virginia and her husband were so helpful, sorting any issues and answering all our questions, as well as providing really useful advise and directions. There are no grocery shops nearby so do stop in Bravro (on route) if self catering - Jumbo and Super Pola both good and just off the highway! Remember washing up liquid! We found everyone at the apartment complex really friendly and helpful. The grounds and pools were immaculate, our kids (10 and 3 years) had an amazing time. If you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place. Just make sure to shop before you get here as there really is nothing close by! A car is necessary for restaurant access. Otherwise it is peaceful, breezy and a place where once feels very safe. The owner goes above and beyond to ensure a stress free holiday.

Lovely condo, superb uninterrupted sea views. Virginia from Rocca Resorts couldn't have been more helpful. We had a great holiday. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Virginia was easy to work with and was more than eager to answer many questions about the property, area, and activitites prior to our arrival. We really enjoyed relaxing (2 adults and 2 teens) at Las Dunas. As stated this condo is away from the action, which was what we were looking for. It was nice meeting others at the property but having a feeling of home instead of a busy all-inclusive. Renny travel was excellent, very professional. We did encounter a problem during our stay (water leak from the condo above us). Virginia and her husband (owners of our rental) quickly had everything taken care of. They immediately responded to our call and stayed in touch through out the day to make sure everything was resolved. We also enjoyed a wonderful meal cooked in our condo by Chef Eddie and his wife Juana. They were very nice and the food was delicious. The patio on this condo is a wonderful place to relax with a book or drink, always a breeze and listening to the waves was calming. My family would go back! We didn't do any excursions on this trip other than the grocery store twice. Condo was clean and spacious.

This condo is exactly as depicted. It is absolutely beautiful. I just returned yesterday after 8 glorious days of sun, the pool, sandy beaches and complete solitude. Lots of security and the beachfront is cleaned up daily. Once a year I travel on my own for a winter vacation and decided to look for something other than all inclusive. VRBO is where I landed. I took one look at this place and said "perfect". I splurged despite the Canadian exchange rate and without regret. Virginia is so helpful and friendly. She even called me when I arrived at the condo. I chose to have a driver pick me up at the airport and take me grocery shopping before settling in at the condo. I can not say enough good things about the great experience at this condo, my dealings with Virginia and Renny Travel who arranged my transportation. Oh I will definitely be back. Who wouldn't! After booking the condo, we decided that it would be less expensive to rent a car than use Renny travel services...Well of coarse we find out in the airport they don't take US insurance so it was almost double the quoted price, Dominican Republic is the 10 worst place to drive in the world, the speed bumps are pretty harsh (scraping bottom of the car), the roads don't have signs, they tend to take you to jail if you're in an accident, and we were told not to give money to the police if pulled over..Given that caveat, take the taxi service that Renny Travel offers..you will have a greater peace of mind and DR is pretty big so many places are too far to drive and you do not want to drive at night. Once at the condo it was as pictured, clean, bathrooms were beautiful, view was awesome, and beaches were not crowded at all, you could walk for miles up and down the coast. We had 30mph winds for 2 days which confined us to stay inside, the sand blew over the short walls in front of the condos so sadly couldn't enjoy the porch, pool or hot tub b/c of the wind and sand. Many big resorts will offer day passes if this happens and will even pick you up, there is a Uvero Alto shopping strip right before you get there where you can pick up a few grocery items and do a little shopping but best to go to the grocery store in punta cana before getting to condo and get everything you need. We enjoyed our stay, it would have been better if we got a taxi and weather was better. Great place for just relaxing with beautiful views!

We wanted a nice place that was close to the beach that would let us take strolls on the beach. We got exactly that! Virginia was a most gracious host making sure everything was just right. This property is right on the beach, looking out on the waves for your morning coffee on the porch and listening to the relaxing sound at night. The pool is especially nice when you don't want sand in between your toes. We did a lot of cooking in the condo and had everything we needed provided. The condo is well protected with around the clock guards who are very friendly. If you want a place to kick back and relax away from the tourist areas, this is the place.

This property is immaculate extremely clean. My grandkids loved the pool. Me I am a beach person, I walked the beach twice a day, felt so fit after a few days and you can walk for miles. I am not crazy about resorts way to many people, this condo is exactly what we were looking for. The describtion in the listing is right on, the beds are so comfy, we had bottled water delivered to our door. If we had an issue it was dealt with right away, the staff friendly and quick to respond to your needs and we had the chef prepare us an amazing Dominican meal. We meet a lot of friendly people from arround the world. The only draw back for us was the grocery store it was a bit too far away, but we planned our shopping trips around our activities. All in all we have great memories of our trip and would definitely go back. ..

Everything you could imagine! The pictures don't do justice. The beach is beautiful and beyond words. The view from the patio is breathtaking. You are so close to the waters edge and the sound of the waves breaking we're awesome. Beach is kept clean and there is a guard on the beach and the premises at all times. No vendors! Comfortable beds on the beach and plenty of lounge chairs and tables. So quiet an peaceful. The owners were so passionate about our care and our comforts. They were amazing! Such hospitality. Their management/housekeeping staff were also amazing and always available. We were greeted with swan/towel decorations and flowers and flower petals in our bathroom upon our arrival! WOW! Renny travel did our airport transportation and grocery store run. No English but so friendly! The condo was everything we needed to feel like home. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and the beds were very comfortable. Tv's had great reception And the internet was awesome. Furniture was spacious and gave us so much room to spread out and get comfortable! Two large dinning tables. We mostly ate outside. Unless it was sunset and for 30 minutes mosquitos occupied patio but then it was very enjoyable. A few things to consider. Some areas of beach has coral so water shoes are a safe bet but we had no trouble enjoying ourselves without them too. There are only two places to eat and they are 15-20 minutes walking distance from the beach. Menu is very limited. Stock up at grocery store or Rent A Car!!!! Faboulous place.........

My husband and I and our two children (ages 3 and 5) spent a week at this condo in Uvero Alto in November of 2016. We were looking for a vacation off the beaten path (meaning NOT an all-inclusive). We definitely got it. First, I'll focus on the many positives. Everyone we encountered in the Dominican was friendly and helpful. We felt safe and welcome the entire time. Marcia and other representatives of the management company at Las Dunas were responsive to our questions and needs. The condo itself was spacious and very comfortable. On the days when we had sun, we took excursions to Saona Island and the Indigenous Eyes Ecological Reserve. They were gorgeous and very fun! We didn't see any other Americans the entire week, which was just fine with us. I got to use my rusty Spanish skills, which totally impressed my kids! Now for the not-so-great things ... #1 - The weather. It rained non-stop for the first half of our stay. (Obviously, no one can control that, but it was a major bummer.) #2 - The garbage. There is trash ALL OVER the beach and in the roadside ditches in Uvero Alto. #3 - The poverty. Once you leave the Americanized Punta Cana proper, the conditions in which the local people live are breathtaking. We saw people living in corrugated metal shanties standing in 2 feet of mud. Naked children were bathing and doing laundry in a river as we drove by. I was humbled and appreciated how privileged we are. Honestly, it was good for my kids to see. #4 - Aside from lounging by the pool or on the beach, there is not much to do in Uvero Alto. There are a couple of trinket shops, but that's about it. We tried to visit Sandy Feet, but they weren't serving food. Seafood Paradise had only fried fish (served with skin on) and french fries on the menu. You will definitely need to stock up on groceries and alcohol before you leave Punta Cana to be sure that you have everything you need for the duration of your stay if you don't rent a car. I walked to the convenience store one day for more wine, but it's a good mile and a half from Las Dunas (3 miles round-trip). #5 - The dishwasher and the washing machine in the condo leaked water onto the floor. We reported these issues to the office at Las Dunas and they sent a technician to make repairs right away. All in all, if you're up for a bit of adventure and don't mind being somewhat isolated, this condo provides a lot of natural beauty and quality family time. You will definitely feel a million miles from home!

This place is magical. Literally like having your own private resort. The condo is right on the beach and looks just like the pictures...BEAUTIFUL! Virginia helped me with the booking and she couldn't have been kinder or more thoughtful. Thank you Virginia!! The grounds and pool where also picture perfect. We stayed a week and I maybe saw 4 other people the whole time. So private and relaxing. There are a couple amazing seafood restaurants within walking distance either way on the beach. I am definitely planning on coming back and I hope this condo will be available.

PARADISE!!! This was our 10 year anniversary trip. It was more than we could have ever expected. The view is so nice that I can't even explain it in writing. If you want a relaxing vacation away from the hustle and bustle of an all inclusive this is the place. We felt as if we were on our own private beach the whole time we were there. Wow was it nice. We never left the resort! We are restaurant owners and live extremely hectic lives. It was so nice to do nothing and just relax and enjoy the peacefulness. There is a wonderful constant breeze. We never even turned on the air conditioner! The grounds are well kept and the pool is beautiful. I would definitely recommend the in house chef to cook for you at least one night you are there. Authentic Dominican food prepared right in the condo and it was terrific! We also found a spot down the beach and got a very relaxing massage for cheap. The condo itself is gorgeous. Very clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. Everything you need is there! This trip was so memorable for us. I cannot say enough good things about it. If you are looking for a relaxing, secluded place in paradise, look no more! Virginia was a blessing to work with. She provided all of the directions and info that we needed to prepare for our trip. We will definitely be back. Thanks for making our 10 year celebration fantastic!

Unfortunately this place is phenomenal!! If you are looking for a place to totally unwind this is it!! There are no planned activities, no entertainment and no restaurants. But there are 3 Beach Restaurants within walking distance and the grill and kitchen in the condo make for easy meals. We went into town once to eat out and get more groceries. We ate at Noah's and then walked to the grocery store. The restaurant picked us up and brought us back for $40.....cheaper than getting a taxi or driver. You will need water shoes for playing in the water, but for walking the beach its smooth, flat sand! Wonderful! We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful atmosphere and got a lot of reading done! We definitely want to come back!!

Oh my goodness it was wonderful!!! Thank you so much for sharing your place and allowing us to enjoy such a treasure! Your place is lovely and had everything we needed! It really was a perfect set up for our family. We really bounced between beach and pool all day, along with naps and eating and sleeping :) Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, the development was so peaceful and well kept. We had a good handful of people come up to us who were walking a long the beach to ask about the place while we were at the beach. Really I can't say enough good things. We will be back for sure! We had great waves the first few days which was fun for boogie boarding, and the last few days the water was more mild so our kids felt brave to swim for long periods of time. I can't get over how beautiful it was there. We had perfect weather every day. We went to the grocery for our food, and grabbed a dinner at Seafood Paradise, and went back for some fresh shrimp to grill at the condo. We had Dayeriana come cook a dominican meal for us, which was amazing. Our kids did awesome, they all want to live there :) Seriously, such a gift to us. Thank you immensely. Will be in touch again.
