Lavender Hill Cottage – Provence in Sonoma with Views!
About this house rental
Situated in Boyes Hot Springs, this lovely house for $456 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. ***COVID-19 *** Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we are taking extra precautions for each rental. We no longer allow quick turns (guests arrive on the same day as last guest depart) between rentals. Our minimum is 28 hours between rentals to allow extra time for cleaning/sanitation. We follow CDC guidelines which includes wiping down all commonly touched surfaces including lockbox, door knobs, light switches, TV controls, bath and kitchen fixtures, etc. Every countertop is disinfected with a spray sanitizer and allowed to air dry. We, of course, leave it up to the guests to follow their own guidelines as far as masks, social distancing, etc. Lavender Hill Cottage is a mid century, one story, hillside bungalow, tastefully remodeled and decorated. It has all modern conveniences including central heat, central A/C and two car garage with remote opener. It is a true wine country retreat! Beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bath cottage located in a private, hillside setting with views of the distant hills. Yet it is located only 2+ miles from the historic Sonoma Plaza. Open floor plan. It has a beautifully remodeled kitchen with limestone counters, wood floors and large fireplace with matching limestone surround and hearth. There are French doors leading to a large deck equipped with a gas BBQ and patio furniture making it an ideal place for eating and relaxing outdoors. Both bathrooms have been remodeled with luxurious appointments. The master bedroom has French doors leading to another private deck, a perfect place to have your morning coffee or your evening glass of wine watching the sunset. Lavender Hill Cottage has all the amenities that you would expect in a wine country retreat including central A/C, central heat, large 2 car garage, much original art work, gourmet kitchen and lovely views. In the main living area you will find a 50" HD TV, blu-ray / DVD player with internet connection and movie library. There is an iPod, IPhone docking station in the entertainment area. There are 32" flat panel TVs in each bedroom. Lavender Hill Cottage is located in a peaceful neighborhood and quiet hours begin at 9 pm. Max number of guests is 4. Stayed at this property with my fiancée and my parents while out in the area for wine tasting. It was the best place to land after long days out. We loved the big deck space and especially the spices and sauces already on-site. Communication with the owners was great. They emailed information out with clear instructions and if anything had come up, I felt confident they would have handled it. We would definitely return!

The reviews were accurate and the house is adequate for 2 couples doing wine country. Rooms worked with 2 king beds. Kitchen is good. The outside area is not well kept. Overall we enjoyed the house.

We came as a surprise trip for my husband's 40th birthday. The location was amazing, very central to everything we wanted to do. The house was extremely comfortable, especially relaxing by the fire with a bottle of wine every night! Bob and Diana were amazing hosts. If I could give it 10 stars I would!

The place was comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The comforters are very old and dated, but the beds were comfortable.
We arrived late and it was so nice that lights were left on, so we weren't arriving in the dark. Two of the rooms have king sized beds, which was a nice plus when you are staying with another couple.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is comfortable, well-equipped, and nights are quiet (even heard an early morning owl each day). The location was perfect for us and we would definitely stay again when in the area.

I would describe it as comfortable and inviting, like your grandmother. We loved it. Thank you. It is near sonoma and only 2 miles to the Safeway. I raised my eyebrows as we turned off into the neighborhood, it cracked me up that houses were built every which way with no rhyme nor reason. The collie dogs next door do like to bark around 7:00 am.

Lavender Cottage is a lovely, cozy cottage that was perfect for my family of four on a wine tasting adventure. Perfect for us
Lavender Cottage is a lovely, cozy cottage that was perfect for my family of four on a wine tasting adventure. We had a lovely stay in Boyes Hot Springs! We were in town to spend time with family and it was the perfect spot to relax in and venture out to taste good and wine from the area. Great spots for coffee and a bite to eat were just down the hill, and it was very easy to get to Sonoma for more action.

Great spot if you're interested in visiting wineries/restaurants in the Sonoma area. Property owner/manager gave very thorough information, so there wasn't a need to contact. This house is what is stated on the website and you can believe the positive reviews. If you are imaging rustic cottage or cabin, think again. This home is very comfortable and provided us a wonderful home for our six-day stay in Sonoma. The kitchen is amazingly well stocked, probably the best of the many places I’ve rented. When it was warm enough my dad sat outside for a few minutes. Not being able to sit outdoors on the wonderful porch is my one regret but I told myself “another time of year, I’ll be back”. The bathrooms were great, beds were comfortable, heater worked well and the neighborhood was quiet which is greatly appreciated. We loved the fireplace!
For those who like to walk, there’s a Lucky grocery store, two parks, and a variety of neighborhoods to explore. The city of Napa isn’t far. Sonoma Plaza is easy to drive to.
