My husband, daughter and I absolutely loved our stay! The cottage was very light and airy. We especially enjoyed the porch and garden area at the end of the day or before we set out in the morning. Location was convenient to stores and just a short drive to downtown Sonoma. The highlight was watching the deer feed outside the living room window. Host were very accommodating! We can wait to visit again one day!

This was the perfect cottage for me and my husband .. Celebrating a 60th Bday getaway. Cottage is cozy , clean , big windows overlooking a undeveloped lot in back where deers would graze morning and night . Front of cottage had a Beautiful Garden with. Plenty of seating and shade that cooled the afternoon temperatures. It was quiet and serene down a private drive and so close to everything. A must stay. !! Hope to visit again soon. Owners were great at communicating…!!!

Best Host we ever had in VRBO’s! Communication was great, they checked that we always had everything we needed. Cottage was very comfortable and close to town, maybe 20 min walk, I did it the in the morning and wasn't bad at all. Coming from Texas I assumed that the place had an AC, but you really don’t need one. Temperature in town and in the cottage was just perfect! Actually kind of fun to be able to sleep with windows open!! Would definitely come back and recommend to others.

By far my favorite part about our stay here (other than the hosts, who were friendly and nice, and Sheila even gave us a private yoga lesson) was the tree-covered patio featuring several breathtaking trees. On the super hot days we were there, I enjoyed nothing more than taking a book beneath the canopy of green and getting lost to the nature. The guest house is private (it currently abuts a large empty lot populated by a family of deer), but the actual accommodations were only so-so. This includes the bed (incredibly creaky), pillows, kitchen appliances, and shower. In other words, don't expect a luxurious interior, but given the proximity to Sonoma as well as the aforementioned patio, this is still a great place to spend a vacation.

Wonderful little spot for a weekend in Sonoma. Our host was very warm and accommodating. The home was just as pictured and described. Having coffee under the trees in the morning was a lovely way to start a fun day. Wish we had had time to use the bikes. Thank you.

We just returned from a lovely stay in Sonoma. Our hosts were lovely and very friendly. The accommodations were as pictured. Nice size kitchen and eating area and living area with sleep sofa. Master bedroom has a nice walk in closet with lots of storage. The outdoor patio was also great. Good location, but not necessarily walking distance to the square. Two things about the unit - the kitchen is pretty dated and well worn. While everything worked just fine, the cabinets are ready to be retired. The other issue is the step up in the bathroom to the toilet and the tub/shower. I suspect there is a structural reason for the step up, but this does pose a safety issue. Be aware. Some hooks closer the to shower would be helpful.

Lovely cottage close to everything but secluded enough to “get away”. Great base for redwoods, hiking, beach, zip lining, and, of course, the vineyards! Then again, the lovely patio area was almost too much to leave. Always a welcome and relaxing sight on returning to the cottage!

This was the perfect place for my friends and I to stage a long weekend of wine tasting in Sonoma and Napa! It felt quiet and secluded while still being close to things. The listing was an accurate representation of the space (super cute!) and plenty of room for the four of us. Everything was clean and the cottage was stocked with everything we needed. Bennett was very helpful and responsive, and the information he left for us was super detailed! Overall a great place to stay that made our vacation easy and wonderful!

The property is just outside of town in a lovely, quiet and high-end location. The bed was comfortable, the house was spacious with room to relax, prepare coffee or meals, and eat inside or out in the quiet and tranquil courtyard. Its just a short drive to restaurants, wineries, and a bus stop to further investigate wine country. My only complaint is that we didn't plan to stay longer. I fully recommend this property without hesitation.

Cottage was as described and looked like the pictures. I didn't get check in information so I had to email the owner on the day of to get information. We didn't have any hot water for the first 24 hours of our stay which was the most frustrating. We texted and emailed the owner first thing in the morning, he said it would be taken care of within the hour, but we had to leave for a schedule wine tour without showers. When we got back around 4pm, there was still no hot water. After a few different back and forth texts, we finally had hot water on our second night. Would have been nice for the owner to offer some sort of discount or refund for the inconvenience and frustration, but they did not offer anything to make the situation right. Overall, I don't think I'd stay there again.

Five minutes from downtown Sonoma. Casual, comfortable, FANTASTIC patio/ outdoor space, enjoyed the old school CD collection and appreciated the tea selection.
The bathroom and kitchen cupboards could use a good cleaning. The mattress and linens need to be replaced/ updated.

We will likely further north next time as we spent most of our time wine tasting there. We did run out of hot water one day but that was noted as a possibility in the check in info. The owner was prompt to address.

While this property was in town, it felt like your own private space with secure drive through doors to get into the driveway and into the car port right by the front door. The weather was nice, so we took advantage of the great courtyard as much as possible. The kitchen was fully stocked with all pots/pans and utensils (we spent Thanksgiving there and went wild with cooking instead of going out). Everything worked great and our hosts were extremely friendly and helpful the entire time. Don't hesitate to stay at Bennett and Sheila's place if you get a chance!

While the place was clean, there was definitely opportunity to clean a bit more (the porch was very dirty so we could not comfortably sit outside, along with inside the drawers and cabinets of the kitchen).

This cottage is well located near everything in Sonoma, and yet manages to feel very private and secluded. The large patio area is well furnished, nicely landscaped and relaxing. It is definitely the highlight. The host was very welcoming and gracious, and quite responsive when we ran out of paper towels.
The cottage itself is artfully decorated, with some nice accessories and fun art, but practically it has some drawbacks. The kitchen is spacious and the dining area pleasant, but the cabinets are cheap and
don’t fit well, and there’s no cabinet panel below the stove top. The microwave is outdated and the oven was dirty. The one kitchen towel provided was dingy and should be tossed.
The bathroom was the biggest issue. It’s very small, and the commode and shower are both raised and have narrow ledges around them. Getting in and out of the shower is an accident waiting to happen on a slippery, narrow surface. Both the tub and the ledge need tread strips for safety. The bed could use a total redo. It has a very creaky frame, a very tired mattress, and a very heavy blanket/cover for the summer. The linens are also worn out and tired.
Because we mostly ate out and spent our time on the patio this was a pleasant stay for us, but this cottage wouldn’t be nearly as pleasant in cold weather, if you couldn’t be on the patio.
